Im Jahr 2016 wurde der Internationale Wettbewerb für Liedkunst zum 10. Mal in Stuttgart veranstaltet. Dieses Jubiläum wurde mit einem ganz besonderen Konzert gefeiert, für das sich Preisträgerinnen und Preisträger aller bisherigen Wettbewerbsjahrgänge – 1987, 1990, 1994, 2001, 2004, 2007, 2010, 2012 und 2014 – im Konzertsaal der Stuttgarter Musikhochschule versammelten. Dieses große Wettbewerbs-Gipfeltreffen bot die seltene Gelegenheit, verschiedene Liedgenerationen in einem Konzert auf einer Bühne zu erleben. Ein bunter Reigen an Liedern von Schubert bis Wolf und darüber hinaus riss das Stuttgarter Publikum bei diesem Stelldichein der Liedkunst zu Ovationen hin.

Spyro Gyra
Spyro Gyra /ˌspaɪroʊˈdʒaɪrə/ is an American jazz fusion band that was originally formed in the mid-1970s in Buffalo, New York, United States. Their music, often featured on smooth jazz radio stations, combines jazz with elements of R&B, funk and pop music. To date, the band has released over 30 albums and sold over 10 million copies. They average about 100 live performances per year. Popular singles include "Shaker Song" and "Morning Dance" (1979).
With the exception of founding bandleader Jay Beckenstein (alto saxophonist and songwriter) and Tom Schuman (keyboardist), the personnel has changed over time, and between the studio and the live stage. Today, guitarist Julio Fernández is in his fourth decade with the band and bassist Scott Ambush is in his third.
The band's name is a misspelling of Spirogyra, a genus of green algae, which Beckenstein had written about in a college biology paper.
History
Appearance on the Buffalo club scene
Spyro Gyra emerged around Jay Beckenstein and keyboardist Jeremy Wall, who had met and formed a band during their high school years. Although they headed in different directions during college—Beckenstein to the State University of New York in Buffalo and Wall to Cal Arts—they spent summers together playing outdoor concerts, and Wall moved to Buffalo soon after graduating.

Alejandro Fernández
Alejandro Fernández Abarca (Spanish pronunciation: [aleˈxandro feɾˈnandes]; born 24 April 1971) is a Mexican singer.
Nicknamed as "El Potrillo" (The Colt) by the media and his fans, he has sold over 30 million albums worldwide. Alejandro is the son of the ranchera singer Vicente Fernández. He originally specialized in traditional, earthy forms of Mexican folk music, such as mariachi and ranchera. He has branched out into pop music with great success.
Career
Early years
His first public appearance was in 1976 in one of his father's shows. Alejandro was meant to perform the song "Alejandra" but in the middle of the song he forgot the lyrics, started crying, and suffered a panic attack. His father Vicente Fernandez got on stage and helped by singing along with him.
Fernández released his first album, Alejandro Fernandez under Sony Music. The main hits were "Necesito olvidarla", "Brumas" and "Equivocadamente". With this material, Alejandro began a tour in Mexico and some cities of the United States. In 1993, he performed with his father in a concert at the Palacio de los Deportes, and he continued for a season at the famous Teatro Blanquita of Mexico City. The same year Fernández released the successful Piel De Niña, directed by Pedro Ramires. The songs "Piel de niña", "A la vera del camino", and "Cascos ligeros" are some of the hits of the album. At the Lo Nuestro Awards of 1993 Fernández was nominated for Male Artist, New Artist and Regional Mexican Album of the Year for his debut album, winning none.

Im Jahr 2016 wurde der Internationale Wettbewerb für Liedkunst zum 10. Mal in Stuttgart veranstaltet. Dieses Jubiläum wurde mit einem ganz besonderen Konzert gefeiert, für das sich Preisträgerinnen und Preisträger aller bisherigen Wettbewerbsjahrgänge – 1987, 1990, 1994, 2001, 2004, 2007, 2010, 2012 und 2014 – im Konzertsaal der Stuttgarter Musikhochschule versammelten. Dieses große Wettbewerbs-Gipfeltreffen bot die seltene Gelegenheit, verschiedene Liedgenerationen in einem Konzert auf einer Bühne zu erleben. Ein bunter Reigen an Liedern von Schubert bis Wolf und darüber hinaus riss das Stuttgarter Publikum bei diesem Stelldichein der Liedkunst zu Ovationen hin.
