Plot: This gripping drama brings to life the true rogue-shark story that inspired Jaws. Plot: July of 1916 was a time of record heat, a polio epidemic, and a World War in Europe. But beachgoers in New Jersey are threatened by a even greater terror: a shark that has suddenly developed a taste for human flesh. Starting July 1st and lasting over a period of 12 days, the unidentified shark kills four people and seriously injures a fifth before the attacks stop, and threatens New Jersey's thriving tourist industry. Based on true events, and one of the inspirations behind Peter Benchley's "Jaws".

Plot: Middle aged Montréaler Arthur Smith is taken to his local hospital after he suffers a heart attack while skiing. As concerned as she is for her husband's health, Arthur's wife is equally as concerned about the fact that he was skiing when he was supposed to be working in Toronto. She suspects that he was not alone on this skiing trip. That is indeed true as he was there with his younger mistress Sally Stevens, with whom he is in love. Equally as confusing for Arthur's wife is that their son, Peter Smith, was the one who telephoned her about Arthur being in the hospital. Peter, who was skipping school for the day, ran into Arthur and Sally at the ski hill. Arthur was truthful to his son about the nature of his and Sally's relationship. As Arthur goes through his recovery, he, his wife and his mistress have to confront what to do about their collective futures.
