Recent Adidas Swim-signee, Michael Andrew, was not at the L.A. Invite nor at Athens Sectionals this past weekend, but he did make his own waves at two other events, swimming at both the Colorado Zone 5 in Colorado Springs, Colorado and “Wave the Wheat Invitational” in his native Lawrence, Kansas.
In Colorado Springs, Andrew raced his way to four first-place finishes over the course of the meet, starting off with a time of 23.20 in the 50m freestyle. Andrew added his second and third individual meet wins in the 100m breaststroke and 100m butterfly races, registering times of 1:03.48 and 56.06, respectively. The 16-year old wrapped up the zone meet with his 4th-fastest 50m backstroke performance of 2015 so far, a time of 26.17 to secure the event victory.
Back in Lawrence, Kansas on Sunday, Andrew took on the men’s 100m freestyle event at the Wave the Wheat Invitational where he managed to blow away his own personal best in the event. Coming into the meet, Andrew's fastest outing was the 51.24 he registered at 2014 Summer Nationals. But, the young talent cranked out a speedy 50.67 in his hometown yesterday to knock over a half a second from that earlier mark, dipping him beneath the 51-second threshold for the first time in his career.
The 15-16 National Age Group Record in the 100m freestyle event still stands at 49.28 held by now-University of Florida Gator, Caeleb Dressel. However, with Michael Andrew having just turned 16 in April and now positioned at the upper end of the age bracket, the NAG record in this race, as well as many others, know their spot on the record books is on borrowed time.

Andrew Michael debuts on Bonzai Progressive with the fantastic two tracker, Self Control.
The title track, Self-Control kicks us off with a nice punchy kickdrum with a super crisp hat on the offset and various percussive elements filling in the gaps. The bass suddenly looms large and takes the groove on its progressive house fuelled journey. On the way we pick up a rising pad that fades into the sound beautifully providing a wonderfully atmospheric vibe. Cool, subtle chords litter the background as those pads intensify and transform into a pulsing lead. A kaleidoscope of colourful sounds deliver a very rich mosaic that keeps you locked in, trying to filter out all the different patterns. A fantastic, epic ride that will have you coming back for more and more, top notch.
Release intros with a nice slow and easy kinda vibe as a warm synth pad settles into a seemingly meditative segment before a strong, punchy kick ploughs through and takes the track on a new direction, straight into the realms of progressive house. Those pads continue to mesmerize as tight drum patterns form up delivering a steady rhythmic flow while various well crafted arps cascade up and down the sound bringing some cool melodic sequences along for the ride. A very subtle yet highly effective bass runs through the track leaving the myriad of pads to do most of the work. At the midway point the track gets ramped up a gear as those melodic arps dominate the groove for the duration. A wonderful slice of the more melodic side of epic progressive house which is a definite must have track, this one will not disappoint.

Exploring issues of faith and the survival of older beliefs, Andrew Michael Hurley’s beautifully atmospheric and moving novel has at its heart the relationship between two London Catholic boys, Smith and his mute, mentally disabled brother Hanny.
The discovery of the remains of a young child during winter storms along the bleak Lancashire coastline leads Smith back to the Saint Jude’s Church Easter pilgrimage to The Loney in 1976. Not all of the locals are pleased to see the Catholic party in the area, and some puzzling events occur. Smith and Hanny, the youngest members of the party, become involved with a glamorous couple staying at a nearby house with their young charge, the heavily pregnant Else. Prayers are said for Hanny at the local shrine, but he also inadvertently becomes involved in more troubling rites. Secrets are kept, and disclosed.

A kaleidoscope of colourful sounds deliver a very rich mosaic that keeps you locked in, trying to filter out all the different patterns. A fantastic, epic ride that will have you coming back for more and more, top notch.
Release intros with a nice slow and easy kinda vibe as a warm synth pad settles into a seemingly meditative segment before a strong, punchy kick ploughs through and takes the track on a new direction, straight into the realms of progressive house. Those pads continue to mesmerize as tight drum patterns form up delivering a steady rhythmic flow while various well crafted arps cascade up and down the sound bringing some cool melodic sequences along for the ride. A very subtle yet highly effective bass runs through the track leaving the myriad of pads to do most of the work. At the midway point the track gets ramped up a gear as those melodic arps dominate the groove for the duration. A wonderful slice of the more melodic side of epic progressive house which is a definite must have track, this one will not disappoint.

For the first time, I can publicly reveal that I've been working with a very experienced and well-respected professional investigator based in Los Angeles and licensed by the state of California. We began our collaboration on Friday, June 21, 2013 - about 72 hours after Mr. Hastings' death. Since then, we've spent about 44 collective man-hours investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash that took the life of Mr. Hastings.
As our investigation is continuing and to avoid potentially compromising our continued efforts, we agreed that revealing his identity at this time would not be in the best interests of this investigation or for the security of those involved. After a review of findings to date, however, we agreed that an interim investigative report should be published.
Although this investigation has been a collaborative effort and we agree on the findings my Los Angeles based colleague requested complete anonymity, including interim references to any individual or collective analysis of findings. Therefore, the statements made in this report will be made in the first-person singular, with this writer presenting the findings as the public point of contact.
Summary of interim investigative findings
Based on careful analysis of the findings of all research and investigation conducted to date, it is my professional belief that investigative journalist Michael Hastings was murdered.
