Plot: Damon is a down-on-his-luck commercial photographer scratching for every mundane, boring job he can get just to survive. To underscore his plight we see him shooting publicity photos of a business woman with dental braces as we are introduced to him at the story's beginning. To make matters worse his live-in girlfriend announces that she is moving back in with her parents. He hooks up with an art gallery owner who fulfills both his sexual and professional needs, at least temporarily. Then comes his epiphany: he realizes that when he looks through the lens of his camera, he sees not only the sexy model who is there, but also her ultimate goals and aspirations that she doesn't know, herself. Will his newfound "extra sexual perception" play into a plan to get his old live-in lover back, or will he be happy in the gallery owner's bed?

Plot: Kit Carruthers, a young garbage collector and his girlfriend Holly Sargis from Fort Dupree, South Dakota, are on the run after killing Holly's father who disagreed with their relationship. On their way towards the Badlands of Montana they leave a trail of dispassionate and seemingly random murders. A very intriguing narrative without judgements, and lacking the usually sensational approach of this genre. Very good acting and directing, and beautiful photography. The script was based upon the true story of the Charles Starkweather and Caril-Ann Fugate murders in 1958.

Is he thinking about me now, by some coincidence, even though he doesn't know me? Does it show on his face? For days afterwards I lived in dread. Sometimes I wished I could fall asleep and be taken off to some magical land, and this never happened.

Holly Sargis: He needed me now more than ever, but something had come between us. I'd stopped even paying attention to him. Instead I sat in the car and read a map and spelled out entire sentences with my tongue on the roof of mouth where nobody could read them.

They kept him in solitary, so he didn't have a chance to get acquainted with the other inmates, though he was sure they'd like him, especially the murderers. Kit went to sleep in the courtroom while his confession was being read, and he was sentenced to die in the electric chair.
