This clip features Peter Tork, with brief cameo's from Bob Rafelson, Jack Nicholson and Dennis Hopper.
Head is a 1968 psychedelic comedy-adventure major motion picture, starring TV group The Monkees (in credit order: Peter Tork, Davy Jones, Micky Dolenz and Michael Nesmith), and distributed by Columbia Pictures. It was written and produced by Bob Rafelson and Jack Nicholson, and directed by Rafelson.
During production, the working title for the film was "Changes", which was later the name of an unrelated album by the Monkees. A rough cut of the film was previewed for audiences in Los Angeles in the summer of '68 under the name of "Movee Untitled".
The film featured Victor Mature as "The Big Victor" and other cameo appearances by Nicholson, Teri Garr, Carol Doda, Annette Funicello, Frank Zappa, Sonny Liston, Timothy Carey and Ray Nitschke. Also appearing on screen in brief non-speaking parts are Dennis Hopper and Toni Basil.

FILM DESCRIPTION:
Jack Butler (Michael Keaton) is a Detroit automobile engineer unjustly fired by his boss. Jack's wife Caroline (Teri Garr) is compelled to get a job to make ends meet, and is soon hired on as an advertising executive in a firm run by the shifty Ron Richardson (Martin Mull. This leaves Jack at home doing the housework and taking care of the kids, which he discovers is a lot more complicated than he ever imagined. Moving from breadwinner to househusband doesn't do much for his self-esteem, and he bides his time playing poker for 10-cents-off coupons with a gaggle of neighborhood housewifes and pondering infidelity with dedicated homewrecker Joan (Ann Jillian). Among Keaton's fish-out-of-water bits: trying to maneuver a shopping cart with the inevitable wobbly wheels; and imagining a soap opera-cum-film noir episode in which he gives in to Joan's advances, only to be found out by Caroline.

When Philly soul star and backing vocalist Dennis Englewood and her friends as backing vocalists heard Kathy Warren, the secretary, playing the role of the mother hushing her baby child to sleep on a quiet night by saying, "Be quiet, big boys don't cry" in the middle of 10cc's original, "I'm Not In Love", to them it sounds irrelevant and to them the repeated phrase, "Big boys don't cry" gets very annoying, so they said, "No, we can't say 'Be quiet, big boys don't cry', like Kathy Warren did, because it has nothing to do with the breakup song; instead we'd rather sing the whole bridge together in harmony: "Ooh, you'll wait a long time for me/ooh, you'll wait a long time." twice in a row."
Here is the story behind the song:
This song revolves around the singer or narrator repeating several times "I'm not in love" but at the end of the song he realizes that he is deceiving himself.
A collaborative effort built around a title by Eric Stewart, "I'm Not in Love" is notable for its innovative production, especially its choral backing.
The song was originally written around a bossa nova beat, but group member Lol Creme suggested slowing the tempo, while another group member, Kevin Godley, suggested replacing the beat with a built-up wall of voices.
The ethereal sound was created by laboriously building up multiple overdubs of the voices of Stewart, Graham Gouldman, Godley and Creme singing a single note in unison. This multi-track was then mixed and dubbed down onto 16-track tape. This process was repeated across all 16 tracks to create a lush 256-voice "virtual" choir that could "sing" chromatic chords.[2] A number of these prepared multi-tracks were then cut into several endless loops, each of which contained the basic notes of the main chords used in the song. The chorus loops could then be played by using the mixing desk rather like a keyboard—each chord could be sounded by bringing up the fader for that loop. The instrumental break featured the repeated spoken phrase, "Big boys don't cry...", spoken by Kathy Warren, the receptionist of their own Strawberry Studios where the band recorded the track. These whispered lyrics would later serve as the inspiration for the name of the 1980s band Boys Don't Cry.
In this pre-sampler period, the group was able to simulate a large polyphonic choir, creating a dramatic tonal effect similar to that produced by the well-known choir sounds of the Mellotron and Birotron, but with a far richer sound, and in full stereo. The same voice loop effect was used in Billy Joel's ballad "Just the Way You Are", released two years later.
Released in May 1975, "I'm Not in Love" became the band's second number-one single and stayed on the top spot in the UK for two weeks from 28 June. Largely expected to scale the Hot 100 summit, the record peaked at only number two in the US for three weeks, deprived of the top spot by a different number-one song each week (Van McCoy's "The Hustle", The Eagles "One of These Nights", and the Bee Gees' "Jive Talkin'"). (The UK single was the full length version, and the US Mercury single was edited down to 3:42.)

Dennis or Denis is a first or last name from the Greco-Roman name Dionysius, via one of the Christian saints named Dionysius.

Teri Garr
Terry Ann "Teri" Garr (born December 11, 1947) is an American actress, comedienne, dancer and voice artist. She was nominated for the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress for the 1982 film Tootsie. Her other film roles include Young Frankenstein (1974); Oh, God! (1977); Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977); The Black Stallion (1979); Mr. Mom (1983) and After Hours (1985). She also appeared as Phoebe Abbott in three episodes of the sitcom Friends (1997–98).
Early life
Garr was born in Lakewood, Ohio. Her father, Eddie Garr (born Edward Leo Gonnoud), was a vaudeville performer, comedian, and actor whose career peaked when he briefly took over the lead role in the Broadway drama Tobacco Road. He changed his surname before Teri's birth. Her mother, Phyllis Lind (née Emma Schmotzer), was a dancer, a Rockette, wardrobe mistress, and model. Her father was of Irish descent and her maternal grandparents were Austrian immigrants.
Career
Early in her career she was credited as Terri Garr, Terry Garr, Teri Hope, or Terry Carr. Her movie debut was as an extra in A Swingin' Affair (1963). At the end of her senior year in high school (at Magnificat High School) she auditioned for the cast of the Los Angeles road company production of West Side Story, where she met one of the most important people in her early career, David Winters, who became her friend, her dance teacher, and her mentor and cast her in many of his early movies and projects.

Garry's Mod
Garry's Mod (commonly abbreviated as GMod and typecased as garry's mod), is a sandbox physics game created by Garry Newman, and developed by his company, Facepunch Studios.Garry's Mod was originally a mod for Valve Corporation's Half-Life 2, but was later made into a standalone release in 2006 for Microsoft Windows, published by Valve Corporation. Later updates saw an OS X build added in 2010, and a Linux build in 2013.
Gameplay
Although Garry's Mod is listed as a full game, it has no objectives and instead gives the player a sandbox to manipulate items free of restrictions, although most multiplayer servers offer original game modes created by players. Garry's Mod allows players to manipulate items, furniture, and props – various objects that players can place in-game.
Props can be selected from any installed Source engine game or from a community created collection. The Physics Gun allows objects to be picked up, adjusted, and frozen in place. The Tool Gun is a multi-purpose tool for performing tasks, such as constraining props together, creating interactive buttons, and creating controllable winches and wheels. The Tool Gun is also used to control add-ons created by the community. The game uses the Source engine's modified version of the Havok Physics Engine, which allows players to build contraptions that follow the laws of physics, allowing for very real structures and experiments.

Dennis Miller
Dennis Miller (born November 3, 1953) is an American stand-up comedian, talk show host, political commentator, sports commentator, actor, television personality, and radio personality.
He rose to fame as a cast member of Saturday Night Live in 1985, and subsequently hosted a string of his own talk shows on HBO, CNBC and in syndication. From 2007 to 2015, Miller hosted a daily, three-hour, self-titled talk radio program, nationally syndicated by Westwood One. He is known for his critical assessments of current events, laced with pop culture references and delivered in an idiosyncratic verbal style.
He is listed as 21st on Comedy Central's 100 greatest stand up comedians of all time, and was ranked as the best host of SNL's Weekend Update by Vulture.com.
Early life
Miller was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, and grew up in Castle Shannon, a suburb of Pittsburgh, where he graduated from Keystone Oaks High School in 1971. His parents separated and Miller was raised by his mother, Norma, a dietitian. Miller is of Scottish descent. His two earliest childhood comedy heroes were Jonathan Winters and Tim Conway. During college, he was a member of Sigma Tau Gamma Fraternity. About his social status during this period, Miller writes: "When I went to college, I lived on campus, and the guys I hung out with made me do some things I'm not proud of, although they made the characters in Revenge of the Nerds look like the Rat Pack in 1962. I myself made that kid Booger look like Remington Steele" (I Rant, Therefore I Am). Miller graduated from Point Park University in 1976 with a degree in journalism.

When Philly soul star and backing vocalist Dennis Englewood and her friends as backing vocalists heard Kathy Warren, the secretary, playing the role of the mother hushing her baby child to sleep on a quiet night by saying, "Be quiet, big boys don't cry" in the middle of 10cc's original, "I'm Not In Love", to them it sounds irrelevant and to them the repeated phrase, "Big boys don't cry" gets very annoying, so they said, "No, we can't say 'Be quiet, big boys don't cry', like Kathy Warren did, because it has nothing to do with the breakup song; instead we'd rather sing the whole bridge together in harmony: "Ooh, you'll wait a long time for me/ooh, you'll wait a long time." twice in a row." Here is the story behind the song: This song revolves around the singer or narrator repeating several times "I'm not in love" but at the end of the song he realizes that he is deceiving himself. A collaborative effort built around a title by Eric Stewart, "I'm Not in Love" is notable for its innovative production, especially its choral backing. The song was originally written around a bossa nova beat, but group member Lol Creme suggested slowing the tempo, while another group member, Kevin Godley, suggested replacing the beat with a built-up wall of voices. The ethereal sound was created by laboriously building up multiple overdubs of the voices of Stewart, Graham Gouldman, Godley and Creme singing a single note in unison. This multi-track was then mixed and dubbed down onto 16-track tape. This process was repeated across all 16 tracks to create a lush 256-voice "virtual" choir that could "sing" chromatic chords.[2] A number of these prepared multi-tracks were then cut into several endless loops, each of which contained the basic notes of the main chords used in the song. The chorus loops could then be played by using the mixing desk rather like a keyboard—each chord could be sounded by bringing up the fader for that loop. The instrumental break featured the repeated spoken phrase, "Big boys don't cry...", spoken by Kathy Warren, the receptionist of their own Strawberry Studios where the band recorded the track. These whispered lyrics would later serve as the inspiration for the name of the 1980s band Boys Don't Cry. In this pre-sampler period, the group was able to simulate a large polyphonic choir, creating a dramatic tonal effect similar to that produced by the well-known choir sounds of the Mellotron and Birotron, but with a far richer sound, and in full stereo. The same voice loop effect was used in Billy Joel's ballad "Just the Way You Are", released two years later. Released in May 1975, "I'm Not in Love" became the band's second number-one single and stayed on the top spot in the UK for two weeks from 28 June. Largely expected to scale the Hot 100 summit, the record peaked at only number two in the US for three weeks, deprived of the top spot by a different number-one song each week (Van McCoy's "The Hustle", The Eagles "One of These Nights", and the Bee Gees' "Jive Talkin'"). (The UK single was the full length version, and the US Mercury single was edited down to 3:42.) -

Teri Garr can claim a career in show business by birthright. She was the daughter of Eddie Garr, a Broadway stage and film actor, and Phyllis Garr, a dancer. While she still an infant her family moved from Hollywood to New Jersey but, after the death of her father when she was 11, the family returned to Hollywood, where her mother became a wardrobe mistress for movies and television. While Garr's dancing can be seen in nine Elvis Presley movies, her first speaking role in motion pictures was in the 1968 feature Head (1968), starring The Monkees. In the 1970s she became well established in television with appearances on shows such as "Star Trek" (1966), "It Takes a Thief" (1968) and "McCloud" (1970), and became a semi-regular on "The Sonny and Cher Show" (1976) as Cher's friend, Olivia. Garr has since risen to become one of Hollywood's most versatile, energetic and well-recognized actresses. She has starred in many memorable films, including Young Frankenstein (1974), Oh, God! (1977), Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977), Mr. Mom (1983), After Hours (1985) and her Academy Award-nominated performance for Best Supporting Actress in Tootsie (1982). Bickering with Caroline (Teri Garr), Jack (Michael Keaton) describes his life as a househusband.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Jack Butler (Michael Keaton) is a Detroit automobile engineer unjustly fired by his boss. Jack's wife Caroline (Teri Garr) is compelled to get a job to make ends meet, and is soon hired on as an advertising executive in a firm run by the shifty Ron Richardson (Martin Mull. This leaves Jack at home doing the housework and taking care of the kids, which he discovers is a lot more complicated than he ever imagined. Moving from breadwinner to househusband doesn't do much for his self-esteem, and he bides his time playing poker for 10-cents-off coupons with a gaggle of neighborhood housewifes and pondering infidelity with dedicated homewrecker Joan (Ann Jillian). Among Keaton's fish-out-of-water bits: trying to maneuver a shopping cart with the inevitable wobbly wheels; and imagining a soap opera-cum-film noir episode in which he gives in to Joan's advances, only to be found out by Caroline.

When Philly soul star and backing vocalist Dennis Englewood and her friends as backing vocalists heard Kathy Warren, the secretary, playing the role of the mother hushing her baby child to sleep on a quiet night by saying, "Be quiet, big boys don't cry" in the middle of 10cc's original, "I'm Not In Love", to them it sounds irrelevant and to them the repeated phrase, "Big boys don't cry" gets very annoying, so they said, "No, we can't say 'Be quiet, big boys don't cry', like Kathy Warren did, because it has nothing to do with the breakup song; instead we'd rather sing the whole bridge together in harmony: "Ooh, you'll wait a long time for me/ooh, you'll wait a long time." twice in a row."
Here is the story behind the song:
This song revolves around the singer or narrator repeating several times "I'm not in love" but at the end of the song he realizes that he is deceiving himself.
A collaborative effort built around a title by Eric Stewart, "I'm Not in Love" is notable for its innovative production, especially its choral backing.
The song was originally written around a bossa nova beat, but group member Lol Creme suggested slowing the tempo, while another group member, Kevin Godley, suggested replacing the beat with a built-up wall of voices.
The ethereal sound was created by laboriously building up multiple overdubs of the voices of Stewart, Graham Gouldman, Godley and Creme singing a single note in unison. This multi-track was then mixed and dubbed down onto 16-track tape. This process was repeated across all 16 tracks to create a lush 256-voice "virtual" choir that could "sing" chromatic chords.[2] A number of these prepared multi-tracks were then cut into several endless loops, each of which contained the basic notes of the main chords used in the song. The chorus loops could then be played by using the mixing desk rather like a keyboard—each chord could be sounded by bringing up the fader for that loop. The instrumental break featured the repeated spoken phrase, "Big boys don't cry...", spoken by Kathy Warren, the receptionist of their own Strawberry Studios where the band recorded the track. These whispered lyrics would later serve as the inspiration for the name of the 1980s band Boys Don't Cry.
In this pre-sampler period, the group was able to simulate a large polyphonic choir, creating a dramatic tonal effect similar to that produced by the well-known choir sounds of the Mellotron and Birotron, but with a far richer sound, and in full stereo. The same voice loop effect was used in Billy Joel's ballad "Just the Way You Are", released two years later.
Released in May 1975, "I'm Not in Love" became the band's second number-one single and stayed on the top spot in the UK for two weeks from 28 June. Largely expected to scale the Hot 100 summit, the record peaked at only number two in the US for three weeks, deprived of the top spot by a different number-one song each week (Van McCoy's "The Hustle", The Eagles "One of These Nights", and the Bee Gees' "Jive Talkin'"). "Listen" was written as a response to the news that L.A. Unified School District police received military weapons from the Department of Defense, via the 1033 program.
This video is being released in collaboration with the #StudentsNotSuspects campaign to call attention to the militarization of local and school police and to the rampant profiling of youth in communities of color. It is intended as a call to action, demanding that we listen to young people, honor both their gifts and wounds, and make a cultural shift towards restorative and transformative justice, and away from profiling and criminalization.
A collaboration with the Embassy Live collective, the "Listen" song inspired a group of filmmakers, artists and activists to join forces to make this video. Funded by the support of more then two hundred Kickstarter backers, the video’s shoot brought together a number of L.A.'s social justice & youth justice organizations, and community members from around the city, gathering together to help send this message.
Direct actions and continuous programming around these issues are being organized by several of the organizations mentioned above (and many others) and will be posted on the website https://www.studentsnotsuspects.org/

Eight Witnesses 1954. The movie is sold with the premise that a murder occurs in front of eight witnesses but all of them are blind, however this is not really a murder mystery rather its an espionage thriller, and a good one at that. The plot of this Cold War movie is that a scientist with knowledge of a secret formula escapes to the West from a "Soviet" lab. He calls a British agent for a pick up but before that can happen he is spooked by two men waiting to use a pay phone and runs off. He flees to where his daughter works, a library for the blind, however before she can go off with him, he is killed in front of several blind witnesses. Eight Witnesses 1954. The movie is sold with the premise that a murder occurs in front of eight witnesses but all of them are blind, however this is not really a murder mystery rather its an espionage thriller, and a good one at that.
The plot of this Cold War movie is that a scientist with knowledge of a secret formula escapes to the West from a "Soviet" lab. He calls a British agent for a pick up but before that can happen he is spooked by two men waiting to use a pay phone and runs off. He flees to where his daughter works, a library for the blind, however before she can go off with him, he is killed in front of several blind witnesses. The film film then becomes a quest to catch the killer and to recover some papers that he was carrying.

For the past three decades I have chased stories from environmental degradation, spiritual unfolding, conscious eating, government cover-ups, extraterrestrial contact and much more as both a journalist and as a human being.
One of the major statements of my professional life has resulted in the creation of Conscious Media Network, which is a co-venture with my husband Scott. We have been broadcasting for over five years and the journey has expanded the richness of our lives beyond compare taking us to parts of the world and parts of the mind that we feel privileged to have experienced.

I will expand my thoughts and on how we can all live a more balanced life amidst all of the possibilities and challenges.
