Ursula Andress (born 19 March 1936) is a Swiss film and television actress, former model and sex symbol, who has appeared in American, British and Italian films. She is best known for her role as Bond girl Honey Ryder in the first James Bond film, Dr. No, for which she won a Golden Globe. She later starred as Vesper Lynd in the Bond-parody Casino Royale.
Andress was born in Ostermundigen, Canton of Bern, Switzerland, the daughter of Anna, who was Swiss, and Rolf Andress, a German diplomat who was expelled from Switzerland for political reasons. He disappeared during World War II.
Andress became famous as Honey Ryder, a shell diver and James Bond's object of desire in Dr. No (1962), the first Bond movie. In what became an iconic moment in cinematic and fashion history, she rose out of the Caribbean Sea in a white bikini sporting a large diving knife on her hip. Due to her heavy Swiss-German accent, her character's voice was provided by Nikki van der Zyl, while the calypso was sung by Diana Coupland.
How do you think I'm feeling?
How much do you think I care?
What is the price that must be paid if I want to stop this hell?
Can you stop it? I'm breathing
How much pain is in your hands?
Try to count a billion and add a thousand more.
"Love is a gun..."
That's what she says...
While I'm crying with a gunshot on her bed...
on and oh, she's shooting near to me
and I'm bleeding on her bed
and she doesn't care...
on and oh, she can clean her sheets,
she could erase her head,
with detergent
Where are my written poems?
Where are your sweetest words?
When did I begin to leave this world putting my hands on yours?
Remembering your kisses and all the times you said "forever"
Try to count a billion and add a thousand more.
