This lake was formed as a result of the earthquake of 8th October 2005 when a huge mountain collapsed down in Chikar stopping the flow of a water rivulet. Around 575 people of 6 villages were buried alive under this mountain.
The village wise details of the martyrs are as under: Lodhi Abad 274, Bail 225, Nainaan 42, Nallah Chakli 32, Butt Shairh 24, Dhakhan Paddar 1. Total 575.
The maximum depth of Zalzala Jheel (Earthquake Lake) is more than 400 feet and its length is 4.5 kilometers. It is almost in the midway of Bagh & Muzaffarabad and it takes almost 1 and a half hour by road to reach there from both sides.

Imran Khan Niazi (Urdu: عمران خان نیازی; born 25 November 1952) is a Pakistani politician and former cricketer, playing international cricket for two decades in the late twentieth century. After retiring, he entered politics. Currently, besides his political activism, Khan is also a philanthropist, cricket commentator, Chancellor of the University of Bradford and Founder and Chairman Board of Governors of Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital & Research Centre.
Arguably Pakistan's most successful cricket captain, Khan played for the Pakistani cricket team from 1971 to 1992 and served as its captain intermittently throughout 1982–1992. After retiring from cricket at the end of the 1987 World Cup, he was called back to join the team in 1988. At 39, Khan led his teammates to Pakistan's first and only World Cup victory in 1992. He has a record of 3807 runs and 362 wickets in Test cricket, making him one of eight world cricketers to have achieved an 'All-rounder's Triple' in Test matches. On 14 July 2010, Khan was inducted into the ICC Cricket Hall of Fame.

Nisar Bazmi (Urdu: نثار بازمی ; December 1, 1924 - March 22, 2007) was a composer and music director of Pakistan film industry. Bazmi remained one of the most famous musicians of subcontinent. He also introduced new singers like Alamgir. The duo of composers Laxmikant-Pyarelal were musicians with Bazmi in India before partition. However, he is primarily remembered for his compositions in the voice of playback singer Ahmed Rushdi.
Syed Nisar Ahmed, was the son of Syed Qudrat Ali. He was born in 1924 in Khandesh, Naseerabad, Bombay, India. He did not belong to an artistic family. Hence he possessed no prior musical background. Prominent Indian musician of Bombay, Khan Saheb Aman Ali Khan was convinced by Nisar Bazmi's musical interest and taught him music. Equipped with artistic know-how, young Nisar Bazmi, who was just 13 at the time, quickly mastered the various ragas, the musical instruments. In 1939, the "All India Radio" hired him as an artist. In 1944, he composed some songs for a drama, "Nadir Shah Durrani", which was broadcast from the Bombay Radio Station.

Earthquake Lake (زلزلہ جھیل) - Lodhi Abad, Chikar - AJK
This lake was formed as a result of the earthquake of 8th October 2005 when a huge mountain collapsed down in Chikar stopping the flow of a water rivulet. Around 575 people of 6 villages were buried alive under this mountain. The village wise details of the martyrs are as under: Lodhi Abad 274, Bail 225, Nainaan 42, Nallah Chakli 32, Butt Shairh 24, Dhakhan Paddar 1. Total 575. The maximum depth of Zalzala Jheel (Earthquake Lake) is more than 400 feet and its length is 4.5 kilometers. It is almost in the midway of Bagh & Muzaffarabad and it takes almost 1 and a half hour by road to reach there from both sides. -

This lake was formed as a result of the earthquake of 8th October 2005 when a huge mountain collapsed down in Chikar stopping the flow of a water rivulet. Around 575 people of 6 villages were buried alive under this mountain.
The village wise details of the martyrs are as under: Lodhi Abad 274, Bail 225, Nainaan 42, Nallah Chakli 32, Butt Shairh 24, Dhakhan Paddar 1. Total 575.
The maximum depth of Zalzala Jheel (Earthquake Lake) is more than 400 feet and its length is 4.5 kilometers. It is almost in the midway of Bagh & Muzaffarabad and it takes almost 1 and a half hour by road to reach there from both sides.
