Almora was founded in 2001 as a musical project of the Turkish musician Soner Canozer. After the release of the EP Standing Still & Cyrano they published their debut album Gates of Time in 2002 on the Turkish label Zihni Müzik. The follow-up album Kalihora's Song was released in 2003 and also received attention abroad. The release of their third studio album Shehrâzad in 2004 was followed by positive reactions from all over the world. Particularly in Japan the album got recognized and two songs were even included in the musical Jazzy Fairies/Revue of Dreams by the popular Japanese theater group Takarazuka Revue. In 2006 the band released their fourth studio album 1945 in collaboration with the Turkish opera tenor Hakan Aysev. In 2008 it was followed by their latest album Kıyamet Senfonisi which features a guest appearance of the Turkish rock musician Ogün Sanlısoy.

Almôra Hakkında
Senfonik Rock Orkestrası Almôra, 2001 yılında Soner Canözer tarafından kuruldu. Almôra, 2002 yılında yayınlanan "Standing Still & Cyrano" E.P.si ve yine aynı yıl içerisinde yayınlanan debut albümü "Gates of Time" ile büyük başarı yakaladı. Basın ve radyolar tarafından da ilgi gören bu albüm, bazı gazete ve dergilerde 2002 yılının en iyi on albümü arasında gösterildi. Almôra, aynı yıl içerisinde Kemancı Zine dergisi tarafından dinleyici oyları ile belirlenen "Yılın Yeni Topluluğu" ödülüne layık görüldü. Bazı yabancı dergilerde de olumlu kritikler alan bu albüm, özellikle Ürdün'de o yılın en çok ilgi gören yabancı rock albümleri arasında yer aldı.
Takip eden yıl, grubun ikinci albümü "Kalihora's Song" raflardaki yerini aldı. Almôra'nın ilk albümündeki başarısını perçinleyen bu albüm, özellikle yurt dışındaki bir çok basın organından olumlu kritikler aldı.
2004 yılı sonbaharında çıkan 3. albümü "Shehrâzad" ile yurt dışındaki başarısını arttıran Almôra, bu albümün Japonya'da yayınlanmasının ardından uluslararası platformdaki yerini de sağlamlaştırmış oldu. Shehrâzad albümünün Japonya'da ilgi görmesi üzerine, bu albümde bulunan Soner Canözer imzalı iki şarkı, ülkenin efsanevi müzikal topluluğu "Takarazuka" tarafından "Revue of Dreams" müzikalinde Japonca olarak seslendirildi. Ayrıca bu albümden Avrupa'nın en prestijli rock müzik dergilerinden biri olan Alman RockHard'da övgü ile bahsedildi ve Almôra bir müzik ve kültür elçisi olarak nitelendirildi.
Almôra bu tarihe kadar Dio, Therion, Opeth, Tankard, Kreator ve Pain of Salvation gibi dünyaca ünlü bir çok grupla çeşitli konser ve festivallerde aynı sahneyi paylaştı.
2006 yılı başlarına gelindiğinde ise, Almôra'nın, 4. stüdyo albümü olan "1945" yayınlandı.
Almôra'nın bu yeni albümündeki iki şarkı dünyaca ünlü Türk Tenor Hakan AYSEV tarafından seslendirildi. Türk Rock Müziğinde bir ilk niteliğinde olan Rock- Opera tarzındaki bu çalışmalar, basın ve dinleyiciden tam not aldı.

Almora
Almora is a municipal board and a cantonment town in the Almora district in the state of Uttarakhand, India. Almora was founded in 1568. It is the district headquarters of Almora district.
It is considered the cultural heart of the Kumaon region of Uttarakhand.
The nearest railway station is Kathgodam 82 km (via Bhimtal), 86 km (via NH 87). Pantnagar Airport is the nearest at 113 km.

Geography
Almora is at 29°37′N 79°40′E / 29.62°N 79.67°E / 29.62; 79.67. It has an average elevation of 1,861 metres (6,100 feet). It is on a ridge at the southern edge of the Kumaon Hills of the Himalaya range. In the shape of a horse saddle shaped hillock, it is surrounded by thick forests of pine and fir trees. Flowing alongside the city are rivers of Koshi, (Kaushiki), and Suyal (Salmale). The snow-capped Himalayas can be seen in the background.
Almora got its name from "kilmora" a short plant found nearby region, which was used for washing the utensils of Katarmal Temple. The people bringing kilmora were called Kilmori and later "Almori" and the place came to be known as "Almora".

After the release of the EP Standing Still & Cyrano they published their debut album Gates of Time in 2002 on the Turkish label Zihni Müzik. The follow-up album Kalihora's Song was released in 2003 and also received attention abroad. The release of their third studio album Shehrâzad in 2004 was followed by positive reactions from all over the world. Particularly in Japan the album got recognized and two songs were even included in the musical Jazzy Fairies/Revue of Dreams by the popular Japanese theater group Takarazuka Revue. In 2006 the band released their fourth studio album 1945 in collaboration with the Turkish opera tenor Hakan Aysev. Almôra, 2002 yılında yayınlanan "Standing Still & Cyrano" E.P.si ve yine aynı yıl içerisinde yayınlanan debut albümü "Gates of Time" ile büyük başarı yakaladı. Basın ve radyolar tarafından da ilgi gören bu albüm, bazı gazete ve dergilerde 2002 yılının en iyi on albümü arasında gösterildi. Almôra, aynı yıl içerisinde Kemancı Zine dergisi tarafından dinleyici oyları ile belirlenen "Yılın Yeni Topluluğu" ödülüne layık görüldü. Bazı yabancı dergilerde de olumlu kritikler alan bu albüm, özellikle Ürdün'de o yılın en çok ilgi gören yabancı rock albümleri arasında yer aldı.
Takip eden yıl, grubun ikinci albümü "Kalihora's Song" raflardaki yerini aldı. Almôra'nın ilk albümündeki başarısını perçinleyen bu albüm, özellikle yurt dışındaki bir çok basın organından olumlu kritikler aldı.
2004 yılı sonbaharında çıkan 3. albümü "Shehrâzad" ile yurt dışındaki başarısını arttıran Almôra, bu albümün Japonya'da yayınlanmasının ardından uluslararası platformdaki yerini de sağlamlaştırmış oldu. José Luis Perales Morillas (Castejón, Cuenca; 18 de enero de 1945) es un cantautor, compositor, productor y escritor español. Pasó los primeros 16 años de vida en su ciudad natal, y en 1961 se mudó a Sevilla para cursar electrónica en la Universidad Laboral de Sevilla. Pasó los primeros 16 años de vida en su ciudad natal, y en 1961 se mudó a Sevilla para cursar electrónica en la Universidad Laboral de Sevilla. Tras concluir la maestría industrial se trasladó a Madrid para estudiar peritaje, compaginando sus estudios con su trabajo como electricista. Durante sus tiempos de estudiante empezó a escribir canciones; al principio componía solo para otros intérpretes, hasta que el productor Rafael Trabucchelli lo convenció de grabar sus propias canciones.
Desde su debut con Mis canciones (1973), ha vendido más de 30 millones de álbumes en todo el mundo. Obtuvo su primer disco de oro en Argentina en 1974 por su canción «Celos de mi guitarra» incluida en su doble sencillo Celos de mi guitarra/Primer amor; ha recibido más de 100 discos de oro y de platino. Su canción «Porque te vas», popularizada por Jeanette, ha sido versionada por más de 40 artistas en Francia, Alemania, Inglaterra, Japón, hasta 2004. Sólo de esta canción vendió más de 6 millones de copias en Alemania y Austria.
Es el cantautor hispano más versionado del mundo. Sus letras son poesías que hablan del amor, la nostalgia y la paz. Ha realizado 27 producciones musicales y registrado más de 510 canciones en la Sociedad General de Autores de España (SGAE).
