Brazil, 1997: a 23-year-old man is urinating in thigh-high water along the Amazon River when suddenly, a tiny fish jumps out and enters his urethra. Here's what you need to know about the candiru.

What is it?
The candiru, also known as the the toothpick fish or vampire fish, is a small parasitic catfish that can grow up to 16 in (40 cm) long. Their translucent bodies make them difficult to spot in the water, where they're known to feed on the blood and scales of other fish that they prey on.
Where is it located?
Candiru fish live in the fresh waters of the Amazon and Orinoco basins, where they can be found in the countries of Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.
How will it kill you?
One thing that sets the candiru apart is its ability to detect urea and ammonia released by other fish. Once they detect these chemicals, they enter their prey's body by rushing into their gill cavity and attaching itself to its prey's spine where it gnaws a hole towards the victim's major blood vessels and feeds on its blood, ultimately causing its victim to die. The candiru also has a reputation for entering male urethras during urination. Upon entry, it makes its way toward the urinary sphincter muscle and attempts to enter the scrotum. Symptoms include fever, severe pain in the genitals, urinary retention, scrotal swelling, and eventual death if left untreated.
How to survive:
It must be said that the 1997 incident involving the 23-year-old man was the first documented case of a human attack by the candiru, and candiru attacks still remain a matter of controversy. Treatment for this case was done through surgery by a urologist, who opened up the victim's perineum (area between the anus & scrotum) with a knife-like scalpel and removed the candiru endoscopically.

Back in 2013 during the making of my "ANXIETY" EP, I recorded a song titled "Urethra".
The original composition of the song didn't have a bridge, so at the tail end of wrapping up the EP, Kerem (The Producer) sends me a batch of new tracks and this one stuck out immediately.
So... for this version of of "Urethra", I made the bridge the chorus and called it "Urethra.2" because it's not a remix. It's more of a continuation of the song. A part 2 if you may.

Doctors and nurses are used to treating patients who put things where they shouldn't go, but nothing in doctor and nurse couple Roger and Wendy Goldenberg's career prepared them for what happened to this woman.
The woman showed up to their Kansas hospital along with her boyfriend complaining that she had a vibrator stuck up her urethra. Nurse Wendy Goldenberg didn't believe her and assumed the vibrator was in the woman's vagina or anus.
But when Roger Goldenberg examined her pelvic area, his speculum started vibrating. The woman and her boyfriend were right: The pinky-sized vibrator had slipped up her urethra and was in her bladder.
The woman must have been in utter agony when you consider that kidney stones, which cause incredible pain when they pass through the urethra, are only 3 to 5 millimeters wide.
The incident was reenacted on Sex Sent Me To The E.R., a television show that airs on TLC.

In anatomy, the urethra (from Greek οὐρήθρα - ourethra) is a tube that connects the urinary bladder to the genitals for the removal of fluids out of the body. In males, the urethra travels through the penis, and carries semen as well as urine. In females, the urethra is shorter and emerges above the vaginal opening.
Women use their urethra only for urinating, but men use their urethra for both urinating and ejaculating. The external urethral sphincter is a striated muscle that allows voluntary control over urination.
In the human female, the urethra is about 1.5 inches (3.8 cm) to 2 inches (5.1 cm) long and exits the body between the clitoris and the vagina, extending from the internal to the external urethral orifice. It is placed behind the symphysis pubis, embedded in the anterior wall of the vagina, and its direction is obliquely downward and forward; it is slightly curved with the concavity directed forward. Its lining is composed of stratified squamous epithelium, which becomes transitional near the bladder. The urethra consists of three coats: muscular, erectile, and mucous, the muscular layer being a continuation of that of the bladder. Between the superior and inferior fascia of the urogenital diaphragm, the female urethra is surrounded by the Sphincter urethrae (urethral sphincter). Somatic (conscious) innervation of the external urethral sphincter is supplied by the pudendal nerve. The uro-genital sinus may be divided into three component parts. The first of these is the cranial portion which is continuous with the allantois and forms the bladder proper. The pelvic part of the sinus forms the prostatic urethra and epithelium as well as the membranous urethra and bulbo urethral glands in the male and the membranous urethra and part of the vagina in females. The area above and on both sides of the female urethra is thought by some[who?] to be sexually sensitive and is sometimes referred to as the U-spot or urethral erogenous zone[citation needed].

Back in 2013 during the making of my "ANXIETY" EP, I recorded a song titled "Urethra". The original composition of the song didn't have a bridge, so at the tail end of wrapping up the EP, Kerem (The Producer) sends me a batch of new tracks and this one stuck out immediately. So... for this version of of "Urethra", I made the bridge the chorus and called it "Urethra.2" because it's not a remix. It's more of a continuation of the song. What is it?
The candiru, also known as the the toothpick fish or vampire fish, is a small parasitic catfish that can grow up to 16 in (40 cm) long. Their translucent bodies make them difficult to spot in the water, where they're known to feed on the blood and scales of other fish that they prey on.
Where is it located?
Candiru fish live in the fresh waters of the Amazon and Orinoco basins, where they can be found in the countries of Bolivia, Brazil, Colombia, Ecuador, and Peru.
How will it kill you?
One thing that sets the candiru apart is its ability to detect urea and ammonia released by other fish. Once they detect these chemicals, they enter their prey's body by rushing into their gill cavity and attaching itself to its prey's spine where it gnaws a hole towards the victim's major blood vessels and feeds on its blood, ultimately causing its victim to die. The candiru also has a reputation for entering male urethras during urination. Upon entry, it makes its way toward the urinary sphincter muscle and attempts to enter the scrotum. Symptoms include fever, severe pain in the genitals, urinary retention, scrotal swelling, and eventual death if left untreated.
How to survive:
It must be said that the 1997 incident involving the 23-year-old man was the first documented case of a human attack by the candiru, and candiru attacks still remain a matter of controversy. Treatment for this case was done through surgery by a urologist, who opened up the victim's perineum (area between the anus & scrotum) with a knife-like scalpel and removed the candiru endoscopically.

A detailed series of Radical Prostatectomy Surgery
Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer in men. The prostate is the gland in the male reproductive system which produces seminal fluid. Walnut-sized, located in front of the rectum just beneath the bladder, the prostate is susceptible to disease when malignant cells form in its tissues. It is thought that diets high in red meat, dairy products, and bad cholesterol; as well as exposure to toxins in the environment and other lifestyle choices; play a role in the development of prostate cancer. Conversely, diets consisting of raw vegetables and fruits which are high in antioxidants help in preventing cancer of the prostate. Diets rich in fish, with omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, can also help to prevent cancer. Prostate cancer also seems to run in certain families; and there appears to be a genetic predisposition, since men of African descent exhibit the highest prostate cancer risk, whereas men of Asian heritage exhibit the lowest. Prognosis for prostate cancer treatments and the various treatment options available depends upon the patient's health and age, the stage of the disease, and the Gleason score. With early detection and new advances in technology, prostate cancer patients can return to active, productive lives after treatment.
The basic prostate cancer treatment options are surgical removal of the prostate; radiation of the cancerous prostate by either external beam, or by radioactive implants; and hormonal or cryosurgery. The most popular treatment choice in the United States is robotic prostatectomy. This robot assisted surgical treatment removes the cancerous prostate with minimally invasive surgery. The main benefits of robotic prostatectomy are that the prostate cancer can be removed without leaving cancerous cells behind. A detailed series of Radical Prostatectomy Surgery
Prostate cancer is the most common form of cancer in men. The prostate is the gland in the male reproductive system which produces seminal fluid. Walnut-sized, located in front of the rectum just beneath the bladder, the prostate is susceptible to disease when malignant cells form in its tissues. It is thought that diets high in red meat, dairy products, and bad cholesterol; as well as exposure to toxins in the environment and other lifestyle choices; play a role in the development of prostate cancer. Conversely, diets consisting of raw vegetables and fruits which are high in antioxidants help in preventing cancer of the prostate. Diets rich in fish, with omega 3 and omega 6 fatty acids, can also help to prevent cancer.
