It will be the tenth Tomb Raider game, and the first in a new take on the series. Tomb Raider explores the intense and gritty origin story of Lara Croft and her ascent from a frightened young woman to a hardened survivor. Armed only with raw instincts and the ability to push beyond the limits of human endurance, Lara must fight to unravel the dark history of a forgotten island to escape its relentless hold. Fresh from university and in search of lost relics, a 21-year-old Lara Croft journeys to an island off the coast of Japan aboard the Endurance, a salvage vessel helmed by Captain Conrad Roth. Before anchoring at bay, the ship is cloven in two by an unforeseen storm leaving Lara separated from any other survivors and washed ashore. She must endure physical and emotional torture in order to survive the island. The game will start out with Lara having no weapons, food, water, or tools. As the game progresses, base camps become unlocked, giving Lara a place to craft new tools out of picked-up items. Base camps also offer a place for Lara to learn new skills in the "skill system" to unlock new parts of the island to explore. Fast travel will be available between base camps. Combat is also going to be heavily emphasised, with no lock-on system. Instead, the game is employing a "free-aim" approach, keeping the HUD minimalized. A new feature to the series will be something dubbed "Survival Instinct." When activated, items of importance will glow, helping out stuck players. Puzzles will also be much harder than in previous games. The developers say that the player will need the elements of water, wind, and fire as well as friction to solve puzzles. Characters include: Lara Croft, Conrad Roth, Alex, Jonah, Reyes, Sam, Dr. Whitman, Grim, Mathias, Steph. Locations include: Coastal Forest, Mountain Temple, Mountain Village, Base Approach. Mountain Base, Base Exterior, Cliffside Village, Mountain Pass, Chasm Monastery, Shanty Town, Cavern Entrance, Geothermal Caverns, Solarii Fortress, Summit Forest, Shipwreck Beach, Cliffside Bunker, Research Base, Chasm Stronghold, Chasm Shrine, Chasm Ziggurat.

Lara can swim which will add to Lara's mobility and combat tactics. Combat has been redesigned with more options for stealth and sneak attacks. Lara can confuse enemies using the environment, hide behind bushes or in trees, or avoid combat altogether by climbing trees or traveling across roof tops. The bow and arrow return from Tomb Raider. Options for multiple bows can be fashioned from specific animals and materials that Lara can hunt and salvage. Other weapons such as her pistol and climbing axe make a return, plus an added hunting knife for melee or sneak attacks. Plot Set after Tomb Raider, Lara Croft's experience of the supernatural on Yamatai has been covered up by the organization Trinity. In order to prove she is not insane, Lara becomes obsessed with finding the truth behind myths around the world.[4] Rise of the Tomb Raider follows Lara Croft as she searches Siberia for the ancient city Kitezh, built by Georgy II, the Grand Prince of Vladimir in the 13th century, which Lara believes holds some truth behind immortality. In a race against Trinity, a well funded organization interested in the supernatural, Lara must survive against humans, animals, and the environment in order to find the truth behind the myths and become who she is destined to be. Now that school is over for the summer, I can focus on making my game movies again. First up: Tomb Raider. This is the new 2013 reboot game, which I found to be a fantastic game. In fact, it's my #2 highest rated game ever, just under Uncharted 2. If you haven't seen my movies before, my goal is to take a game, record footage of my gameplay, and edit that together into a movie. I do this by focusing on story, primarily driven by the cutscenes. However, if you only include the cutscenes, you don't have a coherent story. So I include some gameplay as well, but only the minimum gameplay necessary to understand the story. The goal is to keep this looking as much like a movie as possible, so I try to limit any obvious game moments as much as I can, especially putting focus on the more cinematic gameplay elements. As before, I try to cut out as many game indicators as I can, such as button prompts, but sometimes there are HUD pop ups that would be either too difficult to remove, or would significantly lower the quality of the movie by being removed. So, I removed what I could, but I couldn't remove everything. The next movie project I plan to do is Arkham Asylum ***EDIT: Unfortunately I ran into some trouble while working on Arkham Asylum. Lost a lot of my footage, and will be unable to replace it until I restart the game, so I'm probably going to put that game on hold for a little while.*** Subscribe to my channel to be notified of any of my future projects.

This is a must play for any fan of the franchise, and for anyone enjoys these type of action adventure games.
