UFC 200 is not too far away MMA fans as the featherweight champion Conor McGregor was set to take on NAte Diaz as the main event for the historic card. McGregor wanted this fight and with all of his MMA fan leveraging power got the fight to avenge his loss by RNC to Nate Diaz which shocked the world and McGregor himself. But Nate Diaz wasn't surprised motherF#$kers. We Mean c'mon Nate Diaz is a world renowned elite BJJ black belt and McGregor is still learning himself, and people didn't see that coming? With the UFC 200 press conference looming McGregor and company decided to go to Iceland and train and also along the way somewhere decided that he didn't want to attend the press conference which in his defense would've been like a mini world tour and taken away from his training that he really needed to shore up his flaws to beat Diaz the second time around. Well the UFC brass wasn't really down with that idea as they probably started getting flashbacks to the time when Nick Diaz skipped out on his media duties promoting his fight with GSP before. This also prompted the impromptu retirement of Conor McGregor as he decided he wasn't going to show up and leverage the MMA fan power that he has amassed as it sent not just the MMA world, but the whole sports world into a frenzy being the biggest sports tweet of 2016 even trumping Kobe Bryants retirement. This didn't make the nerves of the UFC settle any less as they pulled Conor McGregor off of the UFC 200 card as they probably foamed at the mouth in a near cardiac arrest as they thought about how much money this was going to cost them. McGregor yet again tried to bluff leveraging his star power and social media presence by tweeting that he was back on UFC 200 shout out to Dana White and Lorenzo Fertita. The UFC brass called his bluff and replied saying his window to appear back on UFC 200 had closed sending the hype of the UFC 200 card into a slow downward spiral. They at least tried to keep Nate Diaz on the card as the hype around Nate Diaz is pretty strong and a championship fight could've been a UFC 200 card savior, but Nate Diaz can give two flying F$#ks about a belt or a fight that will only make him 100k. Nate Diaz wants that big money fight against Conor McGregor and to make about a million or so. With Conor McGregor being pulled from the card Nate Diaz decided to 'Go on Vacation.' leaving the main event for UFC 200 vacant. In steps Jon Jones vs Daniel Cormier to main event UFC 200 as this grudge match of a fight would be the only fight with enough of a draw to headline a historic card. Miesha Tate is already booked on the card so there could be no Ronda Rousey unless it was against Holly Holm a fight many fans feel like Ronda is ducking. Sage Northcutt so far is a bust, and the Paige VanZant hype train is going to need a lot more fixing after she is done with Dancing with the stars. Other than GSP coming back to save UFC 200 with a fight against Robbie Lawler or someone equivalent Daniel Cormier vs Jon Jones 2 is the most logical option here. But seeing as how Jon Jones performed at UFC 197 against OSP do fans really think the new Jon Jones that showed up recently is the Jon Jones that can beat Daniel Cormier at UFC 200?
