David Eric "Dave" Grohl (born January 14, 1969) is an American rock musician, multi-instrumentalist, singer-songwriter, and producer who is best known as the former drummer for the grunge band Nirvana and the founder and frontman of the rock band Foo Fighters, of which he is the lead vocalist, one of three guitarists, and primary songwriter.
He was the drummer and co-founder of the rock supergroup Them Crooked Vultures. Grohl has additionally written all the music and performed all the instruments for his short-lived side projects Late! and Probot, as well as being involved with Queens of the Stone Age numerous times throughout the past decade.
He has performed as a session drummer for a variety of musicians, including Garbage, Killing Joke, Kristeen Young, Nine Inch Nails, David Bowie, Paul McCartney, The Prodigy, Slash, Iggy Pop, Juliette and the Licks, Tenacious D, RDGLDGRN, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, Lemmy, Stevie Nicks, Zac Brown Band and Ghost.
David Eric Grohl was born in Warren, Ohio, the son of Virginia Jean (née Hanlon), a teacher, and James Harper Grohl, at the time a newswriter. He has Slovak, German, and Irish ancestry. When he was a child, Grohl's family moved from Warren, to Springfield, Virginia. When Grohl was seven, his parents divorced, and he subsequently grew up with his mother.
Michael Trent Reznor (born May 17, 1965), known professionally as Trent Reznor, is an American singer-songwriter, record producer, and film score composer. As a vocalist and multi-instrumentalist, he has led the industrial rock project Nine Inch Nails since 1988. His first release as Nine Inch Nails, the 1989 album Pretty Hate Machine, was a commercial and critical success. He has since released eight studio albums. He left Interscope Records in 2007 and was an independent recording artist until signing with Columbia Records in 2012.
Reznor was associated with the bands Option 30, The Urge, The Innocent, and Exotic Birds in the mid-1980s. Outside of Nine Inch Nails, he has contributed to the albums of artists such as Marilyn Manson and Saul Williams. He and his wife, Mariqueen Maandig, are members of the post-industrial group How to Destroy Angels, alongside Reznor's fellow composer Atticus Ross and long-time Nine Inch Nails graphic designer Rob Sheridan.
Reznor and Ross scored the David Fincher films The Social Network (2010), The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo (2011), and Gone Girl (2014), winning the Academy Award for Best Original Score for The Social Network and the Grammy Award for Best Score Soundtrack for Visual Media for The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo. In 1997, Reznor appeared in Time's list of the year's most influential people, while Spin magazine has described him as "the most vital artist in music".
A mega performance of a powerful song. Interestingly, the studio footage seen here didn't make the cut to be included in the "Real to Reel" Rockumentary. Despite my best efforts to eliminate wicked audio synch skew, some remains. BUT, I couldn't not post this when the performance is so solid. There's 13 edits difference from the official post. What you see here is my spin on the original footage. (personally, I think mine's better....) Enjoy! A 'thank you' for all the positivity is here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=p16xB0Dtl7A Hope you like it as well!

Having made his mark in Washington DC hardcore band Scream in the mid 1980s, Grohl is said to have performed with more than 30 different bands during his career to date, but it will long remain Nirvana and The Foos for which he is remembered first and last and always. This film tells the Dave Grohl story from his earliest performances as a teenager at the 9.30 Club in DC, right up to his global status as mainstay in one of the world s finest bands around today. If you’re one of the millions of people who’ve heard Nirvana’s cover of the David Bowie classic “The Man Who Sold the World” from their Unplugged album, you already know that Dave Grohl and Pat Smear are devout Bowie fans. But did you know that Smear and his bandmates in the Germs used to stalk Bowie all over 1970s Los Angeles? Join us as Smear and Grohl drive around town (in a custom and, as Grohl says, “totally ‘90s” Ford Bronco) visiting Bowie’s L.A. homes, both personal and creative. Along the way the two bandmates reminisce, nerd out on Bowie trivia and even pick up a legendary passenger. (Also, they call Joan Jett.) We can’t imagine anyone we’d rather celebrate Bowie’s memory with than these guys. Enjoy. Special thanks to: Shirley Morales at ltd los angeles English Disco art exhibit...
Let's 1 2 3 5
I'm a banana as you see (ori ori ori)
and I'm singing now the summer hit (ori ori ori)
I'm not a leader baby
but now i'm… (go! go! go!)
Out of here outta fight
'cause i won't be Nonlinear
Tell me now what is right
when shit is now a Nonlinear way....
So i write, enclosed two years so tight
I write, I swear off light, no kites can't touch the things i've grown,
that's how my story's gone
well I'm so proud and i won't (be) anymore
non sento risolversi l'attimo
l cried, I tried, "don't harm me in white"
e sfuggo al mio tempo un momento
E dico basta con l'università a pezzi
dico basta alla gente svogliata da pazzi
io no così non voglio restare
non riesco più a legger neanche il giornale
and i say "stop it", to universities stoned
i say "stop it" to people that want no work
this bus stop it's not right (on) my way
no news no t.v. shows no pray
