Cisco Field was a proposed ballpark in San Jose, California. It was proposed as the new home of the Oakland Athletics. It would have served as the replacement to their current home at O.co Coliseum, where the team has resided since their move from Kansas City to California in 1968. This stadium would have marked the first time that the A's franchise has played in a brand new stadium in which to play since the completion of Shibe Park in 1909. On October 5, 2015 the United States Supreme Court rejected San Jose's bid on the Athletics.
Cisco Field was proposed to be constructed in downtown San Jose immediately adjacent to the SAP Center and the Diridon Station at the corner of Montgomery Street and Park Avenue. For the A's to move to San Jose, either the San Francisco Giants would have to rescind their territorial rights on the area, or at least 23 of the 30 MLB owners would have to vote in the A's favor and force San Francisco to give up their territorial claim to Santa Clara County. Current team owner Lew Wolff has stated, "My goal and desire for the organization is to determine a way to keep the team in Northern California." The Redevelopment Agency of the City of San Jose has been acquiring the properties needed at the Diridon South site. The available land, only 12-14 acres, would give rise to a very intimate stadium. As a result of its small size, it is speculated to be very hitter-friendly.

Cisco Systems, Inc. is an American multinational technology company headquartered in San Jose, California, that designs, manufactures and sells networking equipment. The stock was added to the Dow Jones Industrial Average on June 8, 2009, and is also included in the S&P 500 Index, the Russell 1000 Index, NASDAQ-100 Index and the Russell 1000 Growth Stock Index.
Cisco Systems was founded in December 1984 by Leonard Bosack, who was in charge of the Stanford University computer science department's computers, and his wife Sandy Lerner, who managed the Graduate School of Business' computers.
Despite founding Cisco in 1984, Bosack, along with Kirk Lougheed, continued to work at Stanford on Cisco's first product. It consisted of exact replicas of Stanford's "Blue Box" router and a stolen copy of the University's multiple-protocol router software. The software was originally written some years earlier at Stanford medical school by research engineer William Yeager. Bosack and Lougheed adapted it into what became the foundation for Cisco IOS. On July 11, 1986, Bosack and Lougheed were forced to resign from Stanford and the university contemplated filing criminal complaints against Cisco and its founders for the theft of its software, hardware designs and other intellectual properties. In 1987, Stanford licensed the router software and two computer boards to Cisco.
Cisco field will end up being the new home for the Oakland A's. Where it'll be located, that's still being worked on. Oakland's mayor wants to keep the A's in Oakland, same with the Raiders, in a project called Coliseum City. I think it'll work perfectly! Others... not so much.

The internet is not a fuzzy cloud. The internet is a wire, actually buried in the ground. Computers connected directly to the internet are called "Servers," while the computers you and I use are "clients," because they are not connected directly to the internet, but through an Internet Service Provider. Routers shuttle packets of information across the internet, and transmit e-mail, pictures, and web pages.
