In country where anti-sex legislation is being passed in the South, presidential hopefuls are wanting to punish women who have abortions and workplace sexual assault is being ignored, defining feminism has never seemed so crucial. In a creative photo series, Wildfang — tomboy-styling clothing brand — reached out to a group of people of different ages, races, genders, occupations, political affiliations even Republicans — and religious convictions — all of whom self-identify as feminists, to ask them what feminism is and what being a feminist means to them.
I've been chalking my hair with sidewalk chalk and water since I was 13 years old. I refuse to accept the hair I was born with!  If you're like me, you've known you were destined for hair greatness since you first saw Jewel Staite as Catalina on Space Cases (OMG, SNICK). Just when I think I've seen the most extreme hair my eyeballs can handle, there's a new trend that goes above and beyond my wildest dreams!  Below are 9 of the wildest, dreamist, most lust-worthy hair trends popping up in my Instagram feed lately:   1.
My son is four. When he was two, he went through a phase of wearing pink pants to day care for about two weeks.About four weeks before preschool ended for summer this year, he started wearing skirts, dresses, and flowery shirts to school most days. I felt a little awkward about it for the first couple of days, but I didn’t have any good reason to stop it, and frankly, I had several good reasons to support it.For one thing, it made the miserable drudgery of convincing him to get dressed for school bearable as summer vacation approached, seemingly at a snail’s pace.
Spring is here! While the flowers bloom and the sun shines, maybe you’ve considered adding a few pieces to your closet. What could be more ethical and in the spirit of rebirth than buying from small shops that specialize in refurbished clothing and accessories? Stand out from a crowd and sift and thrift through these one-of-a-kind shops. You can visit these stores in person at BUST’s Craftacular on April 23rd in Brooklyn, NY! 1. House of CorreiaUmmm hello.
You know when you want to show off your ferocity without even needing to open your mouth? Yeah, that's how I feel all the time. If you're like me, you'll go crazy for these fierce-as-f**k, totally one-of-a-kind earrings. They’re fun, feminist, and ferocious, just like you. Adorn yourself, girl! And if you can't wait to get your hands on these, come to the BUST Craftacular on April 23rd in Brooklyn, where all of these vendors will be selling their gorgeous wares!  1. Pippi Longstocking, with her legendary freckles, would definitely approve of this new trend.  You may see spots popping up in your Instagram feed soon, because RAINBOW FRECKLES are officially a thing! @yulaantonovoa It's kind of like a permanent bokeh for your cheeks...or maybe it's the "I just sprinted through a confetti cannon" look?  Rainbow freckles can be glitter, or neon, or monochromatic.  They can go all the way up your forehead, down to your chin, or just hang out around your eyes.
An affinity for crazy-long nails brought these New Jersey women together. But their salon’s sisterhood is what keeps them coming back. Maria Ortiz exclaims, and at once, she and the dozen or so women around her hold their hands up and smile for the cameras. It’s a Sunday afternoon in Newark, NJ, and a group of friends have gathered in a tiny salon that smells of both chemicals and catered Spanish food.
There’s nothing wrong with your trusty old nude bra and white cotton panties, but let’s face it, sometimes you want something way more exciting on your ladybits. Where can you go to find sexy, unique, locally made, hand-crafted lingerie for all sizes? Here are four lust-worthy looks from four shops that sell the undergarments and swimwear of your dreams. You can check them out online, AND you can find them at the upcoming BUST Craftacular on Saturday, April 23.
