Plot: Suraj, son of Seth Dhanpatraj, falls in love with his college classmate, Saroj and the two decide to get married. Biswajit (Hindi: बिस्वजित चॅटर्जी, full name Biswajit Deb Chatterjee, Bengali: বিশ্বজিৎ চ্যাটার্জী) is a Bengali/Hindi actor. He was born in Calcutta, West Bengal Dated 14 Dec 1936 and later went to Bombay to do some memorable Hindi films.
After a couple of hit films in Calcutta like Mayamrigo (1960) and Dui Bhai (1961), Biswajit went to Bombay. In 1962, he catapulted to fame with his superhit film, Bees Saal Baad. Even though Shammi Kapoor was the reigning heartthrob of the masses and considered the king of romance in the 60s, Biswajit was a name to reckon with.
He acted in notable films like Mere Sanam (1965), Shehnai (1964), Yeh Raat Phir Naa Ayegi (1966), April Fool (1964), Kismat (1968),Do Kaliyan (1968), and Sharaarat (1972). He was mostly paired with top actresses like Asha Parekh, Mumtaz, Mala Sinha and Rajshree. His films often had popular soundtracks, causing the films, and Biswajeet, to become even better-known.
Biswajit appeared in Rekha's debut film Anjana Safar (1969) (later re-titled Do Shikaari). Though Anjana Safar was blocked by the censors and not released until 10 years later, a scene from the film which shows him kissing Rekha appeared on the pages of the Asian edition of Life magazine.

Mala Sinha (Hindi: माला सिन्हा) (born 11 November 1936) is an Indian actress who has worked in Hindi, Bengali and Nepali films. Recognised for her talent and beauty, she went on to become a popular leading actress in Hindi films from the early 1950s until the late 1970s. Sinha has starred in over a hundred film productions: popular ones include Pyaasa (1957), Dhool Ka Phool (1959), Dil Tera Deewana (1962), Gumrah (1963), Himalaya Ki God Mein (1965) and Aankhen (1968).
Sinha was born to Albert Sinha, in a Indian-Nepali Christian family in Kashmir in India. They named her Alda. Her friends at school used to tease her by calling her Dalda (a brand of vegetable oil), so she changed her name to Mala. In her childhood she learnt dancing and singing.
She has never done playback singing in films but has been a singer and has done stage shows in many languages from 1947 to 1975.
Sinha started her career as child artist in Bengali films Jai Vaishno Devi followed by Shri Krishan Leela, Jog Biyog and Dhooli. Noted Bengali director Ardhendu Bose saw her acting in a school play and took permission from her father to cast her as a heroine in his film Roshanara (1952), her cinematic debut.

Tollywood film Abichar - 1981, stars Aparna Sen and Biswajit as lead the pair. Music of the feature film is directed by Usha Kanna. The story revolves around a poor but happy family of Debnath, fondly called Debu, his father, his wife, his sister and his only daughter Rakhi. He earns very little as the village priest and finds it difficult to make both ends meet. However he saves the life of a rich man named Mitra, who out of gratitude offers him a job in the city. He readily agrees but slowly he starts realising that Mitra was an evil man, heavily into smuggling business. He threatens to bring Mitra's true face in the light which alarms him and with the help of his power he destroys Debu. Mitra puts Debu in prison and kills his father and sister, also setting fire to his hut. However Debu's wife and the daughter manage to escape. Debu on getting the news embarks upon a dangerous quest for revenge. He flees from jail and becomes a big smuggler himself with a new name and a new personality that was a far cry from the simple fair village priest. His daughter Rakhi falls in love with Uday who happens to be Mitra's son, much to Debu's disapproval. After that on meeting Uday he agrees for the marriage. During the day of the wedding ceremony, one things lead to another and Mitra readily confesses his sins for which the police arrest him. Debu too is arrested for his alleged stint as a smuggler.
