There are a lot of things I love about the Philippines, but there's something I can't stand... THE TRAFFIC IN MANILA.
Manila ranks in my Top 5 worst traffic cities on earth (along with Delhi, Dhaka, Bangkok & Mumbai). It's a nightmare to get around this city, especially during rush hour, when it can take 3+ hours to drive 5 miles. Something needs to be done to fix it.
You'd think when a city has traffic this bad, there would be an EFFICIENT public transportation system in place (i.e. metro) to get people from point A to point B. But that's not the case in Manila.
There is a functioning metro (MRT) in Manila, which has been around for 20+ years, but it's miserable to ride. Most other big Asian city that I've been to have enjoyable metros - like Bangkok, Taipei and Hong Kong - but in Manila, it's the opposite of enjoyable. It's overly crowded, beyond dirty, extra noisy and steaming hot.
In case you were wondering, funding ($$$) is NOT the issue - as the government subsidized several BILLION Pesos to fix the MRT a few years ago by building new stations and 48 new coaches... But thanks to technical difficulties & faulty designs, that project has gone to waste until now.
Does anyone have any solutions for how to fix the traffic/public transportation issue in Manila? Because if it can be fixed, then this city would be a lot more enjoyable to live in and visit for tourists.

Manila Light Rail Transit System-Line 2 (LRT-2) — Pureza Station
Manila Light Rail Transit System-Line 2, or simply LRT-2, is the second line of the Manila Light Rail Transit System. Rolling stock used in this line are indeed Hyundai Rotem EMUs, manufactured by Toshiba.
The rest of this description was deleted by YouTube Studio's shitty saving system, so I'm not gonna bother rewriting them because I'm tired as shit. I apologise, I will rewrite it soon though, but not now.

The line serves 11 stations on 13.8 kilometers (8.6 mi) of line.[2] The rails are mostly elevated and erected either over or along the roads covered, with sections below ground before and after the Katipunan station, the only underground station on the line. The western terminus of the line is the Recto station at the intersection Recto Avenue and Rizal Avenue, while the eastern terminus of the line is the Santolan station along Marcos Highway in Barangay Calumpang, Marikina City. LRT2 Manila 2020 | The LATEST Light Rail Transit System in Metro Manila
The Manila Light Rail Transit System Line 2, also known as MRT Line 2, LRT Line 2, MRT-2, LRT-2, or Megatren, is a rapid transit line in Metro Manila in the Philippines, generally running in an east-west direction along the Radial Road 6 and a portion of the Circumferential Road 1. LRT2 is considered the youngest mass transit in Metro Manila which was opened last 2003. Together in this trip is my friend Daryl who is originally from Mindanao and currently working in Manila. This is not our first time to ride this train but this is my first time to make a video of this trip. To know more our experiences, you may continue watching this video.

Manila Light Rail Transit System Line 2 - LRT2
The line serves 11 stations on 13.8 kilometers (8.6 mi) of line.[2] The rails are mostly elevated and erected either over or along the roads covered, with sections below ground before and after the Katipunan station, the only underground station on the line. The western terminus of the line is the Recto station at the intersection Recto Avenue and Rizal Avenue, while the eastern terminus of the line is the Santolan station along Marcos Highway in Barangay Calumpang, Marikina City. The rail line serves the cities that Radial Road 6 (Marcos Highway, Aurora Boulevard, Ramon Magsaysay Boulevard, Legarda Street and Recto Avenue) passes through: Manila, San Juan, Quezon City, and Marikina City.
Three stations currently serve as interchanges between the lines operated by the LRTA, MRTC, and PNR. Pureza Station is near the Santa Mesa Station of the PNR; Araneta Center-Cubao is connected by a covered walkway to its namesake station of the MRT-3; and Recto Station is connected via covered walkway to the Doroteo Jose Station of the LRT-1.
The LRT-2 runs from 5:00 a.m. PST (UTC+8) until 10:00 p.m on weekdays, and 5:00 a.m. PST (UTC+8) until 9:30 pm during weekends and holidays. It operates almost every day of the year unless otherwise announced. Special schedules are announced via the PA system at every station and also in newspapers and other mass media. During Holy Week, a public holiday in the Philippines, the rail system is closed for annual maintenance, owing to fewer commuters and traffic around the metro. Normal operation resumes on Monday.[3]

LRT-2's Santolan Terminal is the station that links Manila to Marikina. And it is reliable. :)
My experience riding this line was satisfying. One section when we rode from Santolan to Pureza reached 70 KPH. It was surprising as a second timer.
Manila Light Rail Transit Line 2, is the second line of the Rapid Rail Transits in Metro Manila. Simply call it Line 2, or LRT-2.
Line 1, known as LRT-1, spans Baclaran in Parañaque, all the way to Monumento in Caloocan, and extends to Roosevelt in Quezon City, being the northern terminus.
Line 2, or LRT-2, spans Recto in Sta. Cruz, Manila (the western terminus of the line), all the way down east to Santolan in Calumpang, Marikina City! This line will be extended farther East to Emerald.
Finally, Line 3. A line that spans the face of EDSA from Taft, all the way to North Avenue, joining with the Line 1, from the name, it is the most northern terminus of Line 3.
Trainsets in chronological order of their appearance in the video:
