Coventry Road Cricket Ground was a cricket ground in Hinckley, Leicestershire. It was located along Coventry Road to the south, Trinity Lane to the east, with Trinity Vicarage Road to the north. Established in 1946, the ground had a capacity of 3,500.
The ground built after the Ashby Road ground ceased the host cricket matches shortly before World War II, leaving Hinckley without a venue for first-class cricket. Local businessmen subsequently joined forces to raise funds for construction of a new ground, with a Mr. Arthur Tansey donating three fields along the Coventry Road, upon which a pitch and pavilion was built. First-class cricket returned to Hinckley in 1951, when Leicestershire played Derbyshire in the County Championship. From 1952 to 1957, Leicestershire played two first-class matches per season at the ground. Leicestershire didn't play there in 1956, but did return the following season, where they proceeded to play one match per season there until 1961. Two first-class matches were played there in 1962, although Leicestershire didn't visit in 1963. The final two first-class matches to be held at the ground came in 1964, with Leicestershire playing Somerset and Kent. Seventeen first-class matches were played there in total, with Leicestershire winning just once, losing eleven and drawing five.
Coventry (i/ˈkɒvəntri/) is a city and metropolitan borough in the centre of England. It was the capital of England more than once in the 15th century when the seat of Government was held in Coventry. Coventry's heritage includes the Roman Fort at Baginton, Lady Godiva, St Mary's Guildhall (where kings and queens were entertained) and three cathedrals.
Coventry is located in the county of West Midlands but is historically part of Warwickshire. Coventry is the 10th largest city in England and the 13th largest UK city overall. It is also the second largest city in the West Midlands region, after Birmingham, with a population of 337,400 in 2014.
Coventry is situated 95 miles (153 km) northwest of central London, 19 miles (31 km) east-south-east of Birmingham, 24 miles (39 km) southwest of Leicester and 11 miles (18 km) north of Warwick. Although harbouring a population of more than a third-of-a-million inhabitants, Coventry is not amongst the English Core Cities Group due to its proximity to Birmingham. Approximately half a million people live within 10 miles (16 km) of Coventry city centre.
A road is a thoroughfare, route, or way on land between two places that has been paved or otherwise improved to allow travel by foot or some form of conveyance, including a horse, cart, bicycle, or motor vehicle.
Roads consist of one or two roadways (British English: carriageways), each with one or more lanes and any associated sidewalks (British English: pavement) and road verges.
Roads that are available for use by the public may be referred to as public roads or as highways.
The Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD) defines a road as "a line of communication (travelled way) using a stabilized base other than rails or air strips open to public traffic, primarily for the use of road motor vehicles running on their own wheels," which includes "bridges, tunnels, supporting structures, junctions, crossings, interchanges, and toll roads, but not cycle paths."
In urban areas roads may diverge through a city or village and be named as streets, serving a dual function as urban space easement and route. Modern roads are normally smoothed, paved, or otherwise prepared to allow easy travel. Historically many roads were simply recognizable routes without any formal construction or maintenance.

Coventry City F.C. is an English association football club based in Coventry in the West Midlands. The team competes in League One, the third tier of the English football league system.
Coventry City, which was formed as Singers F.C. in 1883, joined the Football League in 1919. They won their only major trophy in 1987 when they beat Tottenham Hotspur 3–2 to win the FA Cup in a match listed by the FA as one of the twelve classic FA Cup Finals. They are one of only five clubs to have ever won the FA Cup and FA Youth Cup 'double' in the same season and they also reached two Football League Cup semi-finals, in 1981 and 1990.
The club, which is nicknamed the Sky Blues owing to the colour of their strip, was an inaugural member of the Premier League in 1992 and had spent 34 consecutive seasons (since 1967) in the English top flight prior to their relegation in 2001. Following eleven seasons in the second-tier Football League Championship without any significant success, Coventry were relegated to Football League One in 2012, the first time in 48 years that the club played in the English league system's third tier.

Graphic novelist Harvey Pekar is interviewed at the Heights Library on Lee Road in Cleveland Heights, Ohio, about his memories of Coventry Road, where he lived during the 70s and 80s. Coventry Road has a storied history that was known beyond Cleveland city limits. From its beginnings as a Jewish neighborhood, on through its heyday in the 60s, Coventry remains a vibrant part of Cleveland, as does Mr. Pekar himself.

Originally created by Coventry City Council in association with the NHS, this James Bond spoof was created to highlight the dangers of drink driving and aims to drive home the fact that getting behind the wheel while drunk means gambling with people’s lives. Since it's successful launch in 2010 by Coventry City Council, it has been adapted and used for local campaigns throughout the country by councils and organisations such as The South Yorkshire Police & Safer Roads Partnership and Essex County Council. Gary Turnbull has done the 5.1 Theatrical mix for all versions.
Steel cello / Bow chime Produced by David Chapman & Adrian Palka A documentary on the performance work of Bob Rutman, Adrian Palka and Wolfram Der Spyra Duration: 30 minutes The Steel Cello and Bow Chime were made by US abstract expressionist painter Bob Rutman in the late 1960s. They grew out of an artistic collaboration with musician/artist Constance Demby for the exhibition ‘Space Mass’, at Rutman’s New York gallery. Rutman conceived them as musical-sculptures, a form in which both their visual presence and sound qualities are of equal and inseparable importance. They were designed as objects to be played and it’s from this combination that their unique qualities arise. Since the 1970s Bob Rutman has produced a continuous stream of recordings and live performances. The Steel Ce...
