Bhojudih

Bhojudih is a census town in Chandankiyari (community development block) in Chas subdivision of Bokaro district in the state of Jharkhand, India.

Geography

Bhojudih is located at 23°38′N 86°27′E / 23.63°N 86.45°E / 23.63; 86.45. It has an average elevation of 138 metres (452 feet).

Introduction

Bhojudih is a small town in the State of Jharkhand and is situated between Dhanbad and Bokaro, the two famous cities for Coal and Steel. It has all the basic facilities like Primary Schools, High Schools, Colleges and Hospitals. Despite of being a backward area, Bhojudih has a very good literacy rate and people here use latest technologies like Mobiles, Internet and PCs. More than 200 people use Social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter at the moment to get connected with the rest of the world.

As the world and India is progressing, Bhojudih has seen some growth too. There is a Railway Station here which is known as Bhojudih (BJE) Junction. There is a Bank of India's Branch near the famous 'Maa Durga' temple in the Niche Bazar area. This Bank of India branch provides facilities like 24 hours ATM, Core Banking and Internet Banking which is necessary in the current era of E-Commerce.

Udit Narayan Jha (उदित नारायण झा); born 1 December 1955) is a Nepalese playback singer whose songs have been featured mainly in Nepali Films and Bollywood. He has also sung many songs in other languages including Nepali,Bhojpuri, Kannada, Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Garhwali, Sindhi, Punjabi, Odia, Assamese,Manipuri,Maithili and Bengali. He has won three National Film Awards and five Filmfare Awards. In 2001, Narayan was awarded the Prabal Gorkha Dakshin Bahu by the late King of Nepal Birendra Bir Bikram Shah Dev. In 2009, Udit Narayan was awarded the Padma Shri and in 2016 he was awarded with the Padma Bhushan by the Government of India.

Career

Udit Narayan Jha was born in Nepal in Bhardah, Saptari, Nepal. His father was Hare Krishna Jha and his mother was Bhuwaneshwari Devi who belonged to Bihar.

Bokaro district

Bokaro district (Hindi: बोकारो जिला) is one of the most industrialized zone in India. It is one of the twenty-four districts of Jharkhand state, India. It was established in 1991 by carving out one subdivision consisting of two blocks from Dhanbad District and six blocks from Giridih District. Bokaro Steel City is the district headquarters. The district has a population of about 2 million (2011 census). Bokaro is famous for its Steel Plant which is the biggest in Asia. It is the fourth integrated public sector steel plant in India built with Soviet help. It is also famous for its quality educational system. Besides,it is also a popular tourist destination for people from Eastern Region and also foreigners. Bokaro houses companies like Steel Authority of India, Bharat Refractories Limited, Hindustan Steelworks Construction Limited, Damodar Valley Corporation, subsidiaries of Coal India Limited, Electrosteel Castings Limited, Bokaro Power Supply Company Pvt. Limited (BPSCL), Indian Explosive Limited, Jaypee Group, Oil and Natural Gas Corporation and many more. Some big corporates are also setting up there industries here, such as - ArcelorMittal 12ml/t steel plant, Posco 3ml/t steel plant and SAIL greenfield steel plant of 12 ml/t are coming soon around the city. In the next five Bokaro alone contribute half of the steel production of the country. Bokaro industrial area is located in Bokaro steel city established by state public sector BIADA (Bokaro Industrial Area Development Authority). Around 500 SSI units are situated in this industrial area and they are having good infrastructural support Bokaro Steel City is also the Police HQ of Chhotanagpur Division. The Chief Executive of the district is the Deputy Commissioner (District Magistrate/Collector). The present Deputy Commissioner is Mr. Uma Shankar Singh - an officer of the Indian Administrative Service (IAS).
