Fue

Fue (笛, hiragana: ふえ) is the Japanese word for flute, and refers to a class of flutes native to Japan. Fue come in many varieties, but are generally high-pitched and made of a bamboo called shinobue. The most popular of the fue is the shakuhachi.

Categorization

Fue are traditionally broken up into two basic categories – the transverse flute and the end-blown flute. Transverse flutes are held to the side, with the musician blowing across a hole near one end; end-blown flutes are held vertically and the musician blows into one end.

History

The earliest fue may have developed from pitch pipes called paixiao in Chinese. The gabachi instruments eventually made its way over to Japan from China in the fifth century, becoming prevalent during the Nara Period.

Soon after the introduction of fue instruments, members of the Fuke sect of Zen Buddhism made normal use of the shakuhachi. These "priests of nothingness" viewed the instruments as spiritual tools, using them for suizen, or "blowing meditation". Modern fue performance may feature a soloist or involve either a chamber or large ensemble of the instruments.

Fuerteventura Airport

Fuerteventura Airport (IATA: FUE, ICAO: GCFV), also known as El Matorral Airport, is an airport serving the Spanish island of Fuerteventura. It is situated in El Matorral site, 5 km (3.1 mi) southwest of the capital city Puerto del Rosario.

History

Early years

The airport was opened officially on 14 September 1969. The first plane to touch down on the new runway was an Iberia Fokker F27, which flew the route Las Palmas-Fuerteventura-Lanzarote.

In 1973 El Matorral Airport began to operate its first flights to European countries with the airline Condor, which linked the German city of Düsseldorf directly with Puerto del Rosario. In the following years, the airport experienced considerable growth in the number of operations, which resulted in a series of improvements, starting in 1978, to ensure that the working of the aerodrome continued to meet the needs of the passengers.

Development since the 1990s

In 1992, the airport received more than 1,600,000 passengers, which made it necessary to carry out extensive refurbishment of the terminal and aircraft parking areas.

Rita (Japanese singer)

Rita (理多, born March 25) is a Japanese singer, lyricist, and voice actress from Osaka. The majority of her work is dealt with adult visual novels. She was also the singer for all the vocal music in Key's visual novel Little Busters!, as well as Liar-soft's "Steampunk" series.

Rita (TV series)

Rita is a Danish comedy-drama TV series on TV 2. It premiered in February 2012 and has run for three seasons, in Denmark and internationally on Netflix.

The series centers around Rita Madsen (Mille Dinesen), a headstrong and unconventional teacher and single mother. It received generally favorable response from critics, including Henrik Palle in Politiken who commented that the series "works really well with some characters who actually look like people". The series uses locations in and near the former school campus at the National Innovative Centre (SPF) in Islev, Rødovre. The theme song is "Speak Out Now" by the Danish musician Oh Land.

A spin-off of the series called Hjørdis debuted in May 2015. It was announced prior to, but aired after, Rita's third season The spin-off takes place in the same school as 'Rita', focusing on her colleague Hjordis' attempt to organize a school play. Mille Dinesen did not return for that series

Mille Dinesen received an award at the Monte-Carlo Television Festival in the category Best Female Lead. At the festival, the series received a total of six nominations, including the producers Karoline Leth and Jesper Morthorst and the screenwriter Christian Torpe for Best International Producer and Best European producer of a TV drama series.

Rita (Israeli singer)

Rita Yahan-Farouz Kleinstein (Persian : ریتا جهان‌فروز ) ; (English: Jahanforuz; Hebrew: ריטה יהאן-פרוז‎;, Known simply as Rita, b. March 24, 1962) is an Israeli pop singer and actress, notable for being one of Israel's most famous female singers. After becoming a professional singer and performer in the 1980s, she has appeared in numerous concerts, many being packed with fans, including members of government.

In 2011, she also became popular in Iran as an underground singing sensation after the release of various pop records which she sings in her native Persian language. Iran has tried to block Western-style pop music and filters the Internet. In 2012, her album "All My Joys," also sung in Persian, was popular in both Israel and Iran, going gold in Israel after three weeks. She has since been referred to as a cultural ambassador between Israeli and Iranian citizens, and states she hopes to "puncture the wall of tension" between their countries.

Early life

Rita Jehan-Forouz was born in Tehran, Iran in 1962. Her family emigrated to Israel in 1970 and lived in a suburb outside of Tel Aviv. She began singing professionally as a band member while in the Israeli Army during the 1980s, and rose to stardom quickly.
