I was racing hard to the corner next to pits and other driver had the inside. Well, we hit and I hit wall hard @ 6:20 and then Slammed by other driver as well. All fun in racing but I felt it later that night.
I have another shot of wreck from my Hero2 pointed backwards... I'll be posting that later.
An accident-free run through the complete circuit of five laps on the Namco Speedway course in the Pole Position game (Namco 5-in-1 TV game version) -- with snow-capped Mount Fuji in the background. Approach is imprinted in memory from all of the time (and quarters) wasted mastering the actual arcade game 25 years ago: Maintain full throttle around the entire course, stay on the track for all passing (use the middle of the track to pass between cars), get to and try to stay at top speed (195 mph) for as much of the course as possible, downshift from "HI" gear to "LO" gear for braking when necessary (e.g. in the big hairpin turn) -- and (of course) don't crash into anything. Score was 58250 points (my personal best/top score is 58450 points). Wife and daughters were not as impressed with me as I was with myself. So it is time to re-retire from racing and get back to more productive activity. Video was captured on a Neuros OSD (www.neurostechnology.com); the output of the Namco 5-in-1 box is plugged into the input of the OSD and the output of the OSD is plugged into the auxiliary input on the TV. The video recorded on the OSD (on a USB drive) was then converted to a QuickTime movie using AVS Video Converter 6. Note the odd-looking "double car" at 3:18 and 3:32 (?). Good luck!

Pole Position ran for 13 episodes on CBS in 1984 as part of their Saturday morning children's programming line-up, and later returned in reruns for a few months in 1986, followed by a run on The Family Channel (now ABC Family) in the late 80s/early 90s. It was also shown in the UK during the 1980s in the CBBC strand and repeated in the early 1990s on Saturday mornings as part of Going Live on BBC1.
The show featured three young sibling crime fighters, two of whom were stunt drivers and part of a secret government operation under the guise of the "Pole Position Stunt Show" that was run by their uncle. The youths inherited the role after their parents died in an unfortunate car accident. The team is equipped with two high-tech talking vehicles named "Roadie", and "Wheels".
The vehicles featured numerous hidden gadgets like water skis and hover jets. The vehicles' computers themselves are portable and can be removed from the dashboards and carried around using handles (thus they are often referred to as "the modules"). They are characters that appeared as computer-drawn faces displayed on video screens.

Zachary patches into Vance's computer and informs him of the double cross and explains it was a plan to get Wheels and Roadie into Vance's computer in order to destroy that computer system. The computer blows up, but they get out in the nick of time.

Curry has developed a new fuel injector that saves eighty percent more gasoline for a company but the side effects release dangerous pollutants and he won't give them the model. Tess and Dan rescue Curry. The bad guys go to kidnap Suzy who is locked in the house with Daisy, but the girls capture the crooks and are safe. The model was hidden in the bear all along.

Pole position
In motorsport the pole position is the position at the inside of the front row at the start of a racing event. This position is typically given to the vehicle and driver with the best qualifying time in the trials before the race (the leader in the starting grid). This number-one qualifying driver is referred to as the pole sitter.
Grid position is typically determined by a qualifying session prior to the race, where race participants compete to ascend to the number 1 grid slot, the driver, pilot, or rider having recorded fastest qualification time awarded the advantage of the number 1 grid slot (i.e. pole-position) ahead of all other vehicles for the start of the race.
Historically, the fastest qualifier was not necessarily the designated pole-sitter. Different sanctioning bodies in motor sport employ different qualifying formats in designating who starts from pole position. Often, a starting grid is derived either by current rank in the championship, or based on finishing position of a previous race. In particularly important events where multiple qualification attempts spanned several days, the qualification result was segmented or staggered, by which session a driver qualified, or by which particular day a driver set his qualification time, only drivers having qualified on the initial day eligible for pole position. In a phenomena known as race rigging, where race promoters or sanctioning bodies invert their starting grid for the purpose of entertainment value (e.g., pack racing; to artificially stimulate passing), the slowest qualifier would be designated as pole-sitter.

The show featured three young sibling crime fighters, two of whom were stunt drivers and part of a secret government operation under the guise of the "Pole Position Stunt Show" that was run by their uncle. The youths inherited the role after their parents died in an unfortunate car accident. The team is equipped with two high-tech talking vehicles named "Roadie", and "Wheels".
The vehicles featured numerous hidden gadgets like water skis and hover jets. The vehicles' computers themselves are portable and can be removed from the dashboards and carried around using handles (thus they are often referred to as "the modules"). They are characters that appeared as computer-drawn faces displayed on video screens.

A racing/driving game sequel to the first Pole position game. Game action takes place at 4 different raceways - the Fuji Speedway in Japan, the Test Track (an oval track like Indy), the Seaside Speedway (with the Long Beach Pike in the background), and the Suzuka Speedway in Japan. The unique and picturesque scenery around each raceway adds exciting realism to each race! As a qualifier, the driver is ranked according to his qualifying lap time, from position one (the pole position) to position eight. Then the driver's second objective is to race against the clock and other cars to finish the race laps as fast as possible, and to achieve the highest score possible. The driver earns points for passing cars, driving on the track, and finishing the race with time remaining. The time remaining from the Racing Lap is added to the extended lap time.If the driver has qualified, just before the race begins, the driver's car (flashing on the screen) is placed at the starting line with seven other cars. The position of the car depends on the position earned during the qualifying lap. The starting lights flash from red to green, and the race begins. Racing hazards are other racing cars, sharp turns, water puddles, and road signs (all of these hazards also appear during the qualifying lap with the exception of water puddles). As the race progresses, more cars appear on the track. If the driver's car hits another car or a road sign, the driver's car is destroyed in an explosion. (Pole Position II adds flying debris to the visual effect.) The driver's car reappears in a few seconds and the race continues. Driving through water puddles or off the track slows down the driver's car considerably. Experience will teach a driver which turns on which tracks require slight steering (because they're banked) and which turns require fast and forceful steering. He jockeys for position with the other racers, while keeping his eye on the clock at the top of the screen. When his time runs out, the race is over. If he has beaten the racing lap time and has seconds remaining, the remaining seconds are added to the extended lap time, which varies depending on the track and the 'Extended Rank' dip switch setting.

Note: Used the invincibility cheat throughout the game. Also used the infinite time on the more difficulty race courses. The Atari version features a few signs from different companies and it begins at 21:50.

Antigo desenho que passava no SBT.
No desenho, os irmãos Dan, Tess e Daisy Darret são três adolescentes que estão em busca do seu pai desaparecido após uma explosão durante uma corrida. Apesar desse infeliz incidente, os jovens continuaram os negócios da família, o "Show de Acrobacias Pole Position", trabalhando em conjunto com os carros Wheels e Rodão. Em suas aventuras os irmãos contavam com a ajuda de um bichinho de estimação meio gato, meio macaco chamado Faísca (Kuma, no original).
Cada carro tinha uma Unidade de Inteligência Artificial. O computador do Mustang vermelho era chamado de Wheels, e o carro azul de Dan chamava-se Rodão. Wheels tinha a estranha mania de se achar velho demais para combater o crime, enquanto Rodão parecia passar a maior parte do seu tempo livrando Dan das encrencas em que ele se metia. Fonte: InfanTv
