Charo Santos-Concio

Maria Rosario Santos y Navarro popularly known as Charo Santos-Concio or simply Charo Santos (born October 27, 1955) is a Filipina media executive, host, occasional actress, television and film producer, and host of Maalaala Mo Kaya, the longest-running television drama anthology in Asia. She is currently the Chief Content Officer of ABS-CBN Corporation, the largest entertainment and media conglomerate in the Philippines, President of ABS-CBN University. Santos-Concio plays a powerful role in TV and film production in the Philippines. On March 3, 2008, she was promoted as the fifth president of ABS-CBN Broadcasting Corporation and in charge of the company's total business portfolio, taking over from interim president Eugenio Lopez III.

Personal life

María Rosario is the second of six children born to Winifredo Santos, a physician, and Nora Navarro. She followed eldest sister Suzanne, and preceded Malou, the head of Star Cinema; Joey, their only brother; Mae, who is an executive producer for ABS-CBN; and Millette Mortiz, the wife of actor, writer, and director Edgar Mortiz. She is married to businessman Cesar Rafael Concio, Jr. and together they have two sons, Francis and Martin, and two granddaughters.

María del Rosario Mercedes Pilar Martínez Molina Baeza (born March 13, 1941), professionally known by her mononymous stage name Charo, is a Spanish-American actress, comedian, and flamenco guitarist. She is best known for her flamboyant stage presence, her provocative outfits, and her trademark phrase, "cuchi-cuchi".

Date of birth

Charo's year of birth has been the subject of dispute for many years. Official documents in Charo's birthplace of Murcia, her original Spanish passport, and her naturalization papers state that her birth date is March 13, 1941. After emigrating to the United States, Charo claimed that she was born in 1947, then changed it to 1949. She asserted in a 1977 court hearing that her passport and naturalization papers were wrong and that her true birth date was January 15, 1951. Charo's current IMDb entry indicates a birth date of March 13, 1941.

The performer has said in interviews that her parents allowed her to falsify her age to appear older when marrying 66-year-old band leader Xavier Cugat in 1966. Numerous articles and interviews published shortly before and at the time of her wedding placed her birth year between 1945 and 1946. In 1964, Charo was referred to as Cugat's "18-year-old protegée". An April 1966 column on the wedding plans stated she was 20 and Cugat was 60. Many sources identified her as 21 on the day of her wedding.

Vice Ganda

Jose Marie Borja Viceral (born March 31, 1976), known by his stage name Vice Ganda, is a Filipino television presenter, endorser, actor, and recording artist. Viceral is a regular host/judge on ABS-CBN’s noontime variety show It's Showtime, and has starred in several films, five of which are considered the highest-grossing films in Philippine cinema.

He is best known for his stand-up routines, in which he uses observational comedy, situational irony and sarcasm in pertaining to Filipino culture and human sexuality. He is also the first openly gay endorser for a major product in the Philippines (Globe Telecom).

Early life

The youngest of five children, Viceral grew up in the neighbourhood along José Abád Santos Street in Manuguit, Tondo, Manila. His father, a barangay captain, was murdered when he was young, prompting his mother to leave the children for work abroad as a caregiver.

He studied Political Science at Far Eastern University and became the only man in the history of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines to be the Finals MVP in women's division in 2003,.
