Ruth Clifford (February 17, 1900 – November 30, 1998) was an American actress of leading roles in silent films, whose career lasted from silent days into the television era.
A native of Pawtucket, Rhode Island, she attended St. Mary's Seminary in Narragansett, Rhode Island, then, following her mother's death in 1911, came to Los Angeles as a teenager to live with her actress aunt. She got work as an extra and began her career at 15 at Universal, in fairly substantial roles. By her mid-twenties, she was playing leads and second leads, including the role of Abraham Lincoln's lost love, Ann Rutledge, in The Dramatic Life of Abraham Lincoln (1924). But sound pictures found her roles diminishing, and throughout the next three decades she played smaller and smaller parts.
She was a favorite of director John Ford (they played bridge together), who used her in eight films, but rarely in substantial roles. She was also, for a time, the voice of Walt Disney's Minnie Mouse and Daisy Duck. She lived long enough to find herself in demand for documentary interviews on the subject of early Hollywood.

"Awake and Alive" is the third single of the 2009 album Awake by the Christian rock band Skillet. It was released on February 15, 2010 to Christian Hard rock and Rock radio. Before release as a single, the song charted at No. 100 in the Billboard Hot 100 for one week and No. 16 on the Billboard Top Heatseekers after the release of Awake thanks to digital sales, becoming Skillet's first song to hit the Hot 100. The song also charted at No. 1 on Christian Rock.net. It has also debuted on Christian Rock charts at No. 12.
The music video consists of the band playing the song live on stage. The video also features clips of the band backstage, and even some clips from some of their podcasts.
When asked about the meaning of the song by Sterotruth.net, John Cooper (the lead singer of the band) had the following to say: "Tying in with “Hero,” here’s one about feeling like you’re falling under from all the stresses of life. Even though you feel like everyone around you is trying to take your hope away from you, no one has the right to do that and you shouldn’t allow those negative influences to weigh you down. Live what you believe and don’t be afraid to stand up for your faith."

(C) Ruth Clifford 2017 This song is about me breaking free from people who tried to hold me down and fit me in their mold. I love my life and the freedom God has brought me, and the ability He gives me to express these thoughts, emotions, and feelings through song. This is my first time singing with a recording of myself. It was a little tricky but so much fun! I hope it speaks to you.

I was in my first video class in Spring, 2013. Our final project was to create a piece that tells the story about something you are passionate about. Naturally, I chose my family. I collected over three hours of interview from my Grandparents, Great Aunt & Uncle, and my Parents and then edited it down to this five minute piece. Keep in mind it was one of my first video project so the video quality is not the best, but I do hope you appreciate the story I put together about my Great Grandparents. Enjoy :)

Hello Friends, I've uploaded this film for you to enjoy! It is definitely family-friendly! This is a well-written and acted story, with real people, real problems, as relevant today as it was 70+ years ago. The story concerns a loving Father who is desperately trying to give his son a better life than he would have (lovingly and morally) with his Mother. You'll understand why after watching. The acting is true-to-life. Of course, children weren't as bombarded by media "values" as they are today, so you may find yourself wishing to live with your children in the past when it was, lets be honest, easier to parent children. You may shed a tear or two, but it's okay :) We all need a good escape from this hard life we daily live, don't we? So make some popcorn, sit back, and enjoy good ac...
