Back when television stations actually signed off after the Late Movie, instead of going to infomercials or reruns of The Golden Girls. This sign-off is from CJOH television in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada from sometime during 1990. CJOH is part of the CTV network. During the early months of 2010, much of the CJOH video archives were lost in a fire. This is but a small token towards that loss.
This was the former CJOH-TV BBS "Baton Broadcasting System" ID from July 1995.
Here are four promos for programs on CJOH television from April 1989. These brief promos aired in between other shows; in this case, very late at night, between Simon & Simon, and The Twilight Zone. CJOH is the CTV affiliate in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada. These promos are uploaded to YouTube in an effort to retain a small portion of the video history of CJOH, as much of their archives were lost in a fire earlier this year.

CJOH TV did this filming of me because of my interview of The Beatles in Germany (1966) and also of my candid photos taken of them while on stage and during the press conference held afterwards. Die Rattles were also on the venue along with Peter and Gordon, Cliff Bennett & The Rebel Rousers.

Hello all my friends and wax research followers, How little people know that the spillers of the oil can retrieve, or can save the spilled oil, and can reuse the wax over and over again until all the oil is gone, The spilled crude oil already contains 4 to 5% of the same wax used to remove it. Wax is one of the last products found after distillation of crude oil. After the refining process there will be more wax retrieved than was used to remove the oil. Re-uniting the wax from where it came renders the spilled oil into a non-adhesive-non sticky, toxic or contaminating solid that can easily be removed from the water surface using fish nets and emptied into waiting barges to take it to where it was destened, which was to the oil refinery where we get more wax thand we put in. Its a win-win ...

Saturday Date was a Ottawa based teen dance program-not unlike American Bandstand. Hosted in its day by Peter Jennings, John Pozer and Dick Maloney in turn - the show featured music, dance and guest band appearances. Little to no footage exists of the original program. However, in 1991 during CJOH TV's 30th anniversary, the station threw an hour long reunion program for Saturday Date - inviting back 2 of it's hosts-John Pozer and Dick Maloney. Along for the ride were many of the original dancers from the show. Also featured was Ottawa band from the 1960's The Five D and Coleen Peterson. Guests include Esquires member Richard Patterson, local announcers Nelson Davis, Al "Pussycat" Pacal & Brian Murphy, plus members of the then CJOH staff - Max Keeping, Carol Anne Meehan , J.J. Clark & Bri...
