It’s nice to be able to give
Public Safety folks reliable radio systems so that they can communicate when they need to help
00:09 [Rakesh
Attaluri] As a
Sales Engineer, I have a huge responsibility.
I design large county-wide systems. I integrate solutions for our customers.
00:19 [
Hayden Hill] Being a Sales Engineer, we work closely with the Account Manager and other people in the Sales
Organization and we develop solutions for our customers. So as opposed to a
Service or
Support or
Installation Engineer where they actually implement it, we get to be at the front of it, and design the solution.
00:34 [
Steve Baldrate] A lot of engineering jobs don’t allow you to get out in front of people — you could be sitting in a lab all day — and this had a good mix of it. I get out in front of the customer, I get to present, I get to interact, build those relationships, become a trusted resources for them.
00:49 [Rakesh Attaluri] Some of the very big systems
I’ve worked on in
Arizona,
Colorado — county-wide systems — are really huge. When you see a Public Safety
Officer using your radio system, you really feel proud of it
.
01:00 [Sherwin
Thomas] Being able to provide that solutions most-effectively, and doing it in a manner that is way better than those around us, is what’s most exciting.
01:10 [Julie Cuvellier] It’s really been a great company to work for in allowing me to balance my professional life and my personal life which is I think is huge — which is something that can be challenging. Ultimately with our Public Safety systems, the coverage that our users get is crucial. Because that’s my focus, I feel that my role here is very important. I help to provide strategic designs that are effective for our customers, which is the most important thing.
01:40 [Hayden Hill] One of our customers they have a dispatch center, and in front of there, there’s a
sign when you walk in every day it says “Act like it’s a family member calling 9-1-1. The way I approach designing our systems is kind of like that, it’s “
Hey, I live here. My friends, my family live here, so build this, treat this, design this, implement this like you’re depending on it, too.”
02:00 [Steve Baldrate] It’s very serious. You got people lives on the line and you can’t take that lightly. Ownership,
Responsibility — it’s a big part of the job. But if you’re ready to go out there and give it your best, than it’s a great place to be — and I like it, I love it here.
