South America is a continent located in the Western Hemisphere, mostly in the Southern Hemisphere, with a relatively small portion in the Northern Hemisphere. It is also considered as a subcontinent of the Americas, which is the model used in Spanish-speaking nations and most of South America.
It is bordered on the west by the Pacific Ocean and on the north and east by the Atlantic Ocean; North America and the Caribbean Sea lie to the northwest. It includes twelve sovereign states – Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Guyana, Paraguay, Peru, Suriname, Uruguay, and Venezuela – and two non-sovereign areas – French Guiana, an overseas department of France, and the Falkland Islands, a British Overseas Territory (though disputed by Argentina). In addition to this, the ABC islands of the Netherlands and Trinidad and Tobago may also be considered part of South America.
South America has an area of 17,840,000 square kilometers (6,890,000 sq mi). Its population as of 2005 has been estimated at more than 371,090,000. South America ranks fourth in area (after Asia, Africa, and North America) and fifth in population (after Asia, Africa, Europe, and North America). The most populous countries are Brazil, Colombia, Argentina, Venezuela and Peru.

Paraguay (/ˈpærəɡwaɪ/; Spanish: [paɾaˈɣwai]; Guarani: Paraguái [paɾaˈɣwaj]), officially the Republic of Paraguay (Spanish: República del Paraguay, Guarani: Tetã Paraguái), is a landlocked country in central South America, bordered by Argentina to the south and southwest, Brazil to the east and northeast, and Bolivia to the northwest. Paraguay lies on both banks of the Paraguay River, which runs through the center of the country from north to south. Due to its central location in South America, it is sometimes referred to as Corazón de Sudamérica ("Heart of South America").
The indigenous Guaraní had been living in Paraguay for at least a millennium before the Spanish conquered the territory in the 16th century. Spanish settlers and Jesuit missions introduced Christianity and Spanish culture to the region. Paraguay was a peripheral colony of the Spanish Empire, with few urban centers and settlers. Following independence from Spain in 1811, Paraguay was ruled by a series of dictators who generally implemented isolationist and protectionist policies.
Video is an electronic medium for the recording, copying, playback, broadcasting, and display of moving visual media.
Video systems vary greatly in the resolution of the display, how they are refreshed, and the rate of refreshed, and 3D video systems exist. They can also be carried on a variety of media, including radio broadcast, tapes, DVDs, computer files etc.
Video technology was first developed for Mechanical television systems, which were quickly replaced by cathode ray tube (CRT) television systems, but several new technologies for video display devices have since been invented. Charles Ginsburg led an Ampex research team developing one of the first practical video tape recorder (VTR). In 1951 the first video tape recorder captured live images from television cameras by converting the camera's electrical impulses and saving the information onto magnetic video tape.
Video recorders were sold for $50,000 in 1956, and videotapes cost $300 per one-hour reel. However, prices gradually dropped over the years; in 1971, Sony began selling videocassette recorder (VCR) decks and tapes to the public.
Paraguay Travel Video - Paraguay is a country of fascinating contrasts. Its rustic and sophisticated. Its extremely poor and obscenely wealthy. Piedra que rueda no cria moho - Ein Stein der rollt setzt kein Moos an. In a total of 16 months - to be more precisely 475 days - I travelled 14 countries in South- and Central America and covered a total of 79.442 km by foot, bicycle, motorcycle, hitchhiking, bus, plane, boat, raft, train, tube, quad and car. Sorry for the shaky hand from time to time, I took most of the shots with a Sony DSC-HX50 and HX90. Unfortunately my cam got stolen, hence the footage of Ecuador and Colombia is lost. The material in this video is from friends that I travelled these countries with. Countries I've visited: Argentina, Uruguay, Paraguay, Chile, Bolivia, Perú, Ecuador, Colombia, Cuba, Panamá, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, Honduras and Guatemala. Places I've visited: Rome, Buenos Aires, Tigre, Luján, Coloni...

Source: http://www.spreaker.com/user/mobcast-network/the_comedy_hostel_podcast_ep_3 Episode 3 of The Comedy Hostel Podcast is here! Host Jon Selig (@jonselig) recently attended a conference for travel bloggers. Yes, that's a thing. He met this week's guest actress/travel vlogger Kristen Sarah (@HTGlobe) there. Travel vlogging is also a thing. Prior to calling Kristen, Montreal stand-up comic Scott Carter (@slashMcDeadly) skateboarded over to join Jon at The Brick Wall to be funny (and sweaty).
