Creating a travel guide in Spanish is an activity which could be done in any level Spanish class. The guide I have demonstrated would most likely be used in a Spanish III or IV class since the future tense verbs would be used. However, this could be modified to use present or past tense in order for a beginner level class to do.
Objective: The student will research different aspects of a Spanish speaking country such as culture, geography, landmarks, and historical sites. The student will use new and old vocabulary to create a travel brochure about their target country. After completing the travel guide, the student will compose five recommendations for someone traveling to the country (each five need to be in a different subject: (I, You, He/She, We, You Guys, They) and compose five sentences conjugating verbs to the future tense explaining what they will do when they visit the country (these also need to touch the five different subjects).
By doing this Spanish Travel Guide, students will demonstrate the knowledge of using present and future tense verbs. The guide will also show that students are able to use research techniques to find information and present the information in a meaningful way. By researching a specific country, students will gain an appreciation for different cultures and history in another country.
Materials: Construction paper, computer, printer, colored pencils and/or markers, glue, tape, and a pencil. If students desire to use a different material to make their brochure they can bring in other materials such as cardboard.

TV9 - "DOODH SAGAR" : A PARADISE ON EARTH...........!
Dudhsagar Falls (literally meaning The mihir & Chandiveera Sea of Milk दूधसागर धबधबा in marathi and konkani) is a tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in the state of Karnataka, India, on Goa's border with the state of Karnataka. It is 60 km from Panaji. The falls lie high up in the Mandovi River's watershed and so are not particularly spectacular during the dry season. During the monsoon season however, the falls are transformed into one of the most powerful falls in India. Dudhsagar Falls is listed as India's 5th tallest waterfall,and is 227th in the world at 310 m.[1]

The water plummets hundreds of feet in large volumes during the monsoon season, forming one of the most spectacular natural phenomena in Goa. It is a major part of the Goa ecosystem.This is a four tiered waterfall with a total height of 310 meters (1017 feet) and an average width of 30 meters (100 feet). The waterfall is accessible by train and rough road. It is 10 kilometers from Kulem Railway Station (Indian Railway station code QLM). This waterfalls lies on the Londa-Madgaon railway route. To view this waterfalls from close distance, travel by Delhi-Goa express (12780), Pune-Ernakulam Express(11098), Chennai-VascoDaGama Express or Miraj-Castle Rock passenger train which starts from Miraj rail junction. There is a small rail station about 50 feet near the waterfalls and some trains halt here for 2 mintutes.

Doda is a town and a notified area committee in Doda district in the Indian state of Jammu and Kashmir.
Doda is located at 33°08′N 75°34′E / 33.13°N 75.57°E / 33.13; 75.57. It has an average elevation of 1107 metres (3631 feet).
As of 2011[update] India census, Doda had a population of 25,527. Males constitute 64% of the population and females 36%. Doda has an average literacy rate of 5% higher than the Indian national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 85% and, female literacy is 61%. In Doda, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age. The town is 80% Muslim.

Creating a travel guide in Spanish is an activity which could be done in any level Spanish class. The guide I have demonstrated would most likely be used in a Spanish III or IV class since the future tense verbs would be used. However, this could be modified to use present or past tense in order for a beginner level class to do.
Objective: The student will research different aspects of a Spanish speaking country such as culture, geography, landmarks, and historical sites. The student will use new and old vocabulary to create a travel brochure about their target country. After completing the travel guide, the student will compose five recommendations for someone traveling to the country (each five need to be in a different subject: (I, You, He/She, We, You Guys, They) and compose five sentences conjugating verbs to the future tense explaining what they will do when they visit the country (these also need to touch the five different subjects).
By doing this Spanish Travel Guide, students will demonstrate the knowledge of using present and future tense verbs. The guide will also show that students are able to use research techniques to find information and present the information in a meaningful way. By researching a specific country, students will gain an appreciation for different cultures and history in another country.
Materials: Construction paper, computer, printer, colored pencils and/or markers, glue, tape, and a pencil. If students desire to use a different material to make their brochure they can bring in other materials such as cardboard.

Dudhsagar Falls (literally meaning The mihir & Chandiveera Sea of Milk दूधसागर धबधबा in marathi and konkani) is a tiered waterfall located on the Mandovi River in the state of Karnataka, India, on Goa's border with the state of Karnataka. It is 60 km from Panaji. The falls lie high up in the Mandovi River's watershed and so are not particularly spectacular during the dry season. During the monsoon season however, the falls are transformed into one of the most powerful falls in India. Dudhsagar Falls is listed as India's 5th tallest waterfall,and is 227th in the world at 310 m.[1]

The water plummets hundreds of feet in large volumes during the monsoon season, forming one of the most spectacular natural phenomena in Goa. The waterfall is accessible by train and rough road. It is 10 kilometers from Kulem Railway Station (Indian Railway station code QLM). This waterfalls lies on the Londa-Madgaon railway route. To view this waterfalls from close distance, travel by Delhi-Goa express (12780), Pune-Ernakulam Express(11098), Chennai-VascoDaGama Express or Miraj-Castle Rock passenger train which starts from Miraj rail junction. There is a small rail station about 50 feet near the waterfalls and some trains halt here for 2 mintutes.
