Beauty of Bangladesh | The Keane Bridge-Sylhet Jaflong-Osmani Nagar | tourist places in Sylhet Bangladesh At present time,Sylhet has become very important traveling spot Bangladesh to the tourist. Sylhet is one of the most beautiful traveling or tourism spot of Bangladesh. In Sylhet there are various kinds of traveling spots like beautiful tea gardens, lots of beautiful rivers, some hills which are may be small but very beautiful to look at, some beautiful haurs and some historical places. In Sylhet there are some falls also as traveling spot. We will discuss all about these tourism spots in our site. We will give you guide line and solution of traveling problem that you faces when you travel. First of all let us see something about SYLHET. Keane Bridge The Keane Bridge is a notable landmark of Sylhet city. It is called the gateway to Sylhet city. This iron bridge was built in the year 1936 over the river Surma and was named after the British governor of Assam of the time, Sir Micheal Keane (b.1874-d.1937). The bridge is 1150 feet lengths and 18 feet breadth. It is a steel truss bridge and such bridges are one of the oldest types of modern bridges. Jaflong Geography Jaflong is one of the most attractive tourist spots in Sylhet division. It is about 60 km from Sylhet town and takes two hours drive to reach there. Jaflong is also a scenic spot nearby amidst tea gardens and rare beauty of rolling stones from hills. It is situated besides the river Mari in the lap of Hill Khashia. The Mari river is coming from the great Himalayas of India, which bringing million tons of stone boulders with its tide. You can watch the stone collection from the river in Jaflong as well as you can enjoy the boating Well, today we have talked about only a few places of Sylhet and those places are Hazrat Shah Jalal (R) shrine, Kean Bridge and Surma River.
