Mental Health Action Group Co-ordinator

This is an exciting opportunity to work in this valuable role supporting the activities of the Mental Health Action Group, a service user led organisation working across Southern Derbyshire.

The role involves facilitation of the group’s monthly meetings, support for various working groups and a Central Committee, promotion and networking and supporting members to participate in a range of engagement opportunities.

A commitment to empowering and upholding the rights of vulnerable people and service user engagement initiatives is essential. Previous experience is desirable but Derbyshire Mind will provide a full induction and training programme to the successful candidate.

The Mental Health Action Group is a forum for service users’ views to be heard, aiming to achieve improvements in the quality of life for current or ex-users of local mental health services.

Derbyshire Mind is a local mental health association, affiliated to National Mind.

We are committed to working for improvements in local mental health services, challenging stigma and increasing public understanding of mental health issues.

This is a fixed term contract which is expected to be available until 31^st March 2017.
