Fuifui Moana Moimoi (born 26 September 1979, in Tonga) is a New Zealand-Tongan professional rugby league footballer for the Parramatta Eels in the National Rugby League competition.
A Point Chevalier Pirates and Glenora Bears junior, Moimoi was spotted by then New Zealand Warriors coach Daniel Anderson in 2002 while playing in the Bartercard Cup for the Mt Albert Lions. Moimoi then joined the South Sydney Rabbitohs for the 2003 season as a trialist. He made his first grade debut for the Parramatta Eels in 2004. On 20 April 2010, Moimoi signed a further 2 year contact and will continue to play with the Eels until the end of 2012.
On Tuesday 10 September 2007, News.com.au reported Australian selectors have inquired about the international eligibility of Moimoi. Moimoi was born in Tonga, grew up in New Zealand.Moimoi is eligible to play for Tonga as well as either Australia, New Zealand. Australian Rugby League chief executive Geoff Carr revealed Australian selectors asked about the eligibility of Moimoi.
Karmichael Neil Matthew Hunt (born 17 November 1986 in Auckland, New Zealand) is an Australian professional multi-code football player, currently playing Australian rules football for the newly formed Gold Coast Suns in the Australian Football League (AFL).
He was formerly best known as a rugby league player for the Brisbane Broncos of the National Rugby League (NRL). He primarily played in the fullback position, but has also played on the wing and at five-eighth and halfback. Hunt played in the NRL for Brisbane from 2004 to 2009, and was part of the Broncos' competition-winning team in 2006. He has represented the Queensland Maroons in the State of Origin series and the Australian Kangaroos at international level.
Hunt made his NRL debut in 2004 and played every game that season, winning the Dally M Rookie of the Year award. In a controversial move, Hunt chose to play for Australia instead of his native New Zealand, citing a lifelong dream of playing for Queensland in State of Origin. After a downturn in 2005, Hunt's 2006 performances resulted in his selection for Queensland and Australia. After consistent performances for the Broncos and continued selection for Queensland over 2006–2009, Hunt expressed a desire to leave the NRL competition.
