"Setting Sun" is a song by The Chemical Brothers, released as a single in 1996 from their second album Dig Your Own Hole. With vocals by Noel Gallagher, then of Oasis, it reached number 1 on the UK Singles Chart. The song has been known to have been played by Gallagher during Oasis's Be Here Now Tour, primarily with just him playing the acoustic guitar and a drone playing in the background. The song was often coupled with the track Fade In-Out from the album. The origins of the song are rooted in Oasis's formative years, whilst playing in the Boardwalk in Manchester, of which a recording of the demo played in 1992 is available online. The original recording of the song was entitled "Comin' On Strong", had Liam Gallagher on vocals, and featured slightly different lyrics to that of the final version, but has commonalities with the version played by Noel during live concerts.
Pitchfork Media ranked it at number 43 in their list of the Top 200 Tracks of the 1990s.
The Chemical Brothers are a British electronic music band composed of Tom Rowlands and Ed Simons originating in Manchester in 1989. Along with The Prodigy, Fatboy Slim, The Crystal Method, and fellow acts, they were pioneers at bringing the big beat genre to the forefront of pop culture. In the UK, they have had six number one albums and 13 top 20 singles, including two number ones.
Ed Simons was born in Herne Hill, South London on 9 June 1970 to a barrister mother and a father who were not around much when Simons was growing up. Simons' two main interests when he was young were aeroplanes and musicals. Simons attended two South London public schools, Alleyn's School and Dulwich College. During his school years, he developed a fondness for rare groove and hip hop music, having frequented a club called The Mud Club from the age of 14. By the time he left school, his two main musical interests were two Manchester bands, New Order and The Smiths. After finishing school with 11 O levels and three A-levels, he continued on to study history, especially late medieval history, at the University of Manchester.

Noel Thomas David Gallagher (born 29 May 1967) is an English musician, singer, guitarist, and songwriter. He served as the lead guitarist, co-lead vocalist and principal songwriter of the rock band Oasis. Raised in Burnage, Manchester, Gallagher began learning guitar at the age of thirteen. After a series of odd jobs in construction, he worked for local Manchester band Inspiral Carpets as a roadie and technician in 1988. Whilst touring with them, he learned that his brother Liam Gallagher had formed a band of his own, known as the Rain, which eventually took on the name Oasis. After Gallagher returned to England, he was invited by his brother to join Oasis as songwriter and guitarist.
Oasis' debut album, Definitely Maybe (1994), marked the beginning of the band's rise to fame as part of the Britpop movement. Oasis' second album, (What's the Story) Morning Glory? (1995), reached the top of the album charts in many countries and their third studio album, Be Here Now (1997), became the fastest-selling album in UK chart history. Britpop eventually declined in popularity and Oasis' next two albums failed to revive it. However, the band's final two albums, Don't Believe the Truth (2005) and Dig Out Your Soul (2008), were hailed as its best efforts in over a decade and found renewed success. On 28 August 2009, following an altercation with Liam prior to a gig in Paris, Noel Gallagher announced his departure from Oasis and on 23 October 2009, he confirmed he would embark on a solo career. Gallagher would go on to form Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds.
Dirty Vegas is a British house music trio made up of Ben Harris and Paul Harris (no relation) on instruments and production and Steve Smith on vocals. The group formed in 2001, then broke up in 2005 before reforming in December 2008 to record new material.
They are best known for their international hit single "Days Go By", which gained mainstream popularity in a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse television commercial, and for remixing songs created by other artists.
Dirty Vegas' debut release was the single "Days Go By." It originally made the top 30 in 2001, but when re-issued in 2002 reached the United Kingdom top 20. They released their self-titled album in June 2002 and released a second album entitled One in 2004.
The song "Days Go By" from their eponymous album gained wide exposure in the U.S. as the background music for a 2003 Mitsubishi Eclipse television commercial. The song went on to win the 2003 Grammy Award for Best Dance Recording. They have remixed songs for artists such as Justin Timberlake and Madonna.

A walk around the garden
It takes approximately one hour for the setting sun to travel four fingers distance to the horizon. On Saturday, April 26th, we decided to make a short film starting 4 fingers before the sun sets, and ending four fingers of time after. With James Lees, Clara Aranovich, and Yael Greenberg shot by Kevin Hayden on VHS, Harinezumi, and iPhone (http://www.kevineganhayden.com/) musical score by Stelth Ulvang (http://stelthulvang.bandcamp.com/) & Ben Wahamaki featuring "Sea of Dreams" by Baby Alpaca (http://www.babyalpa.ca/) directed and edited by Isaac Ravishankara 2014
It would be great if Chemical Brothers would have their own vimeo's channel
Multiple green/blue flashes are visible in the final stages of sunset. Shot with a Celestron C8 2000 mm focal length, Canon 5dmkII, Magic Lantern raw video firmware @ 3x crop, 16 fps. Taken from Cottesloe beach looking through 23 km of atmosphere to the Rotto lighthouse. Seeing was quite good. I largely avoided wind shake by shooting from the local rugby tavern. more at facebook.com/ColinLeggPhotography
I Co-Directed this skate project with Tadashi Suzuki, who also did all the skateboarding. I doubled as the Director of Photography. The goal of this short film was to emphasize the cinematography aspect of skateboarding as opposed to focusing on tricks; and lots of shooting into the Sun :) We wanted to find unique spots to skate more based on the background setting as opposed to filming at the usual skateparks and popular spots. For the post, I gave each section it's own treatment. Tried to keep the treatment somewhat muted, stylized and added some grain. Colored using a combo of After Effects mixed with Film Convert Pro Shot on an FS700 using Cinegamma 1 and 4. A few shots were with S-Log 2, but that was released towards the very end of shooting unfortunately. If it had came out earlier...
I’ve enjoyed watching the dance of the planets over the last couple of weeks. This shot was taken on the 3rd of August 2010, with Venus, Saturn and Mars forming a wedge pointing west and setting over the Shark Bay Stromatolites. Exposure varied from 100ms -> 20s and ISO from 100 -> 3200.

Mother will look with me
Father will pray for me
Religion will wait for me
Nobody waits for this long cant you see
Doors will do for me
What sinners could never dream
Science is in your head
Nobody hurts them selves but themselves can't you tell?
Haters will love in time
And lovers will feel their crime
Patience is all you need
That and the courage it takes just to be
One more day is not enough to change the world
But we'll rise and fall just like the setting sun
One way is not enough to change
But we'll rise and fall just like the setting sun
Yes she will lead me there
And you won't be anywhere
I'll find a quiet path
Somewhere alone where the shadows won't laugh
One more day is not enough to change the world
But we'll rise and fall just like the setting sun
One way is not enough to change
But we'll rise and fall just like the setting sun
Mother will look with me
Father will pray for me
Religion will wait for me
