Trina Solar Limited is a Chinese manufacturer of photovoltaic modules, which was founded in 1997 as a system installation company. Trina Solar's solar modules provide electric power for residential, commercial, industrial and other applications worldwide.
Trina Solar is currently one of the few photovoltaics manufactures that has developed a vertically integrated supply chain from the production of monocrystalline ingots, wafers and cells to the assembly of high quality modules. Trina Solar sells its products in Europe and other countries around the globe. Trina Solar successfully completed its initial public offering on the New York Stock Exchange in December, 2006. Trina Solar also sponsors the 2011 Renault F1 team.
Trina Solar is the third largest solar module company in China and the fourth largest solar panel company worldwide, according to PVinsights. Trina Solar is also the third largest silicon solar module company in the world since First Solar is a thin-film based solar module company. It shipped around four hundred MW of solar panels in 2009.
Katrina Laverne Taylor (born December 3, 1978), better known by her stage name Trina, is an American rapper, songwriter and model from Miami, Florida. Trina first gained notoriety in 1998 with her appearance on Trick Daddy's second studio album www.thug.com to the single "Nann Nigga". Since then she has released five moderately successful studio albums and has been named The Most Consistent Female Rapper of All-Time by XXL Magazine.
Trina is of Dominican descent on her father's side; her mother is Afro-Bahamian. Trina's parents were separated while she was growing up. She lived in the Liberty City projects and in Pembroke Isle, Florida. She attended Miami Northwestern High School.
Miami rapper Trick Daddy approached Trina in 1998 to be featured on his song "Nann Nigga". The song was later released as the lead single from his second studio album, www.thug.com, which was released in September 1998. The single later became a hit as it reached number sixty-two on the US Billboard Hot 100 and number three on the Rap Songs chart. Thanks to the success of the single, Trina gained popularity and signed a record deal with Slip-n-Slide Records with distribution from Atlantic Records. Trina subsequently began work on her debut album.
Patrick Galen Dempsey (born January 13, 1966) is an American actor, known for his role as neurosurgeon Dr. Derek Shepherd ("McDreamy") on the medical drama Grey's Anatomy. Prior to Grey's Anatomy he made several television appearances and was nominated for an Emmy Award. He has also appeared in several films, including Sweet Home Alabama, Made of Honor, Valentine's Day, Flypaper, Freedom Writers, and Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
Dempsey was born in Lewiston, Maine, and grew up in Buckfield, Maine. His mother, Amanda M. (née Caisson), was a school secretary, and his father, William A. Dempsey, was an insurance salesman. He attended Buckfield High School and St. Dominic Regional High School. He was an adept juggler, tying for second in a national juggling competition. He was also an accomplished skier and while in high school won the Maine state slalom championship.
As a child, Dempsey attended Camp Wekeela located in Hartford, Maine.
Dempsey was diagnosed with dyslexia at age twelve. He told Barbara Walters on her 2008 Oscar special that he thinks dyslexia "made him what he is today." “It’s given me a perspective of — you have to keep working,” Dempsey told Walters. “I have never given up.”
