Eternal Rivals Become Best Friends, kinda
Intel and AMD compete against each other in so many markets it's hard to keep track of. They fight over every dollar, every point of market share. It's even got legal on many occasions, with each side accusing the other at some point of not playing fairly. The one common feature is a cross-licensing agreement between the two for x86 and x86-64. So cue the surprise that they are working together on the future of x86 as part of an Advisory Group. There are some caveats though, which I'll talk through here.

Intel's Arrow Lake CPUs have a release date for October 24 and just got announced, including specs and prices for the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K, Core Ultra 7 265K, Core Ultra 7 265KF, Ultra 5 245K, and Ultra 5 245KF. Note: Intel's slides contained errors that Intel made. The company stated that the 800-series chipsets would have 32 USB 3.2 ports maximally. Intel sent an email to press notifying the media of an error in Intel's slide, saying it instead should read "10." We obviously have no way of verifying these statements before having CPUs in hand, so the press relies on companies to get their own specs right.
