Maybe There's a Silver Lining in Justice League's Dark Box Office Clouds
Justice League came out in November and went on to underperform at the box office, which bummed me out. I wanted it to do so well, but unfortunately, it kind of just did okay. And as expected, the entertainment press dragged it through the mud once the reviews started coming out.
However, Justice League's box office performance contributed to WB's stellar box office totals for 2017, so it's not all bad, right?
And there's even more to the bright side for Justice League even beyond that.

Cloud
In meteorology, a cloud is an aerosol comprising a visible mass of liquid droplets or frozen crystals made of water or various chemicals. The droplets or particles are suspended in the atmosphere above the surface of a planetary body. On Earth clouds are formed by the saturation of air in the homosphere when air cools or gains water vapor.
Cloud types in the troposphere, the atmospheric layer closest to Earth's surface, have Latin names due to the universal adaptation of Luke Howard's nomenclature. It was formally proposed in December 1802 and published for the first time the following year. It became the basis of a modern international system that classifies these tropospheric aerosols into several physical forms which can be found at various altitude levels or étages.

Zachary David "Zach" Sobiech (May 3, 1995 – May 20, 2013) was an American folk rock singer-songwriter from Stillwater, Minnesota, who was a member of the band A Firm Handshake. The single "Clouds" gained extensive media attention on YouTube, prior to Sobiech's death from cancer in May 2013. It charted on the Billboard Hot 100, eventually becoming a hit also in UK, Canada and France.
Life and career
At age 14, Sobiech was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a bone cancer which mostly strikes children.CBS reported that during his treatment he underwent 10 surgeries and 20 rounds of chemotherapy. He started writing music after his diagnosis.
In May 2012 his doctors informed him that he had up to a year to live. Sobiech recorded the song "Clouds" about his battle with cancer, and released it as a YouTube video in December 2012. It went viral, surpassing 3 million views at the time of his death. It currently has more than 10 million views and counting.

Justice League
The Justice League, also known as the Justice League of America, is a fictional superhero team appearing in American comic books published by DC Comics. The Justice League was conceived by writer Gardner Fox, and first appeared in The Brave and the Bold #28 (Feb.-March 1960).
The team is an assemblage of superheroes who join together as the Justice League. The seven original members were Aquaman, Batman, the Flash, Green Lantern, the Martian Manhunter, Superman, and Wonder Woman and the team roster has rotated throughout the years, consisting of many superheroes from the DC Universe.
The Justice League received its own comic book title called Justice League of America in October 1960. With the 2011 relaunch of its titles, DC Comics released a second volume of Justice League and in 2015 released a fourth volume of Justice League of America, both of which are currently in print. Since its inception, the team has been featured in various television programs and video games.

"Thinking Out Loud" is a song by English singer-songwriter, Ed Sheeran, recorded for his second studio album, × (2014). It was written by Sheeran and Amy Wadge, and was produced by frequent collaborator Jake Gosling. It was released in the US on 24 September 2014, serving as the third single from the album.

Justice League came out in November and went on to underperform at the box office, which bummed me out. I wanted it to do so well, but unfortunately, it kind of just did okay. And as expected, the entertainment press dragged it through the mud once the reviews started coming out.
However, Justice League's box office performance contributed to WB's stellar box office totals for 2017, so it's not all bad, right?
And there's even more to the bright side for Justice League even beyond that.

In this second video, I attempt to learn a bit about the particle system in Unity by using it to make clouds on the screen, and also learn a bit about textures in Unity. I have an idea of what I want to do, but I deliberately didn't do any research before starting, because I want to show how I go about experimenting and finding information. I also attempt to draw a basic texture in GIMP and import it into Unity. If you're a Unity pro with any good tips for me, I'd love to hear them!

In this episode of #PaintLikeAPro I begin this large painting of a mule deer buck under a gorgeous sky. I show you how to block in the sky then dive into what techniques to use when layering the colors properly to create realistic clouds.

Materials I used:
- Golden Fluid Acrylics (titanium white, carbon black, napthol red, Primary yellow, quinacridone red, primary cyan)
- Liquitex soft body acrylics (cad orange, cerulean blue)
- Water for mixing with paint
- Round blender and scrumbling brushes from artist loft and princeton. Various other brushes I cover in the video.

'God' and Angel in Photograph of Clouds Over Cape Coral, Florida

Definitely, this is an awesome picture but is it really a message from heaven? Is this striking image of majestic man wearing robes God? You be the judge.

The cloud above was spotted in Cape Coral, Florida by my boss on his way home from work. And what was immediately obvious was the fact that this cloud was shaped in the image of the Lord. Also look to the far right and you'll see another cloud that looks like an angel with a trumpet in hand. Maybe it's the angel Gabriel blowing a trumpet blast to indicate the Lord's return to Earth, or maybe not...
I realize that some may see this as a sign, an act of God if you will. There will be others, those who will doubt. And that's okay. But one thing's for sure, and that's how remarkably clear this image in the sky really is. Believe it or not, God is said to work in mysterious ways.
Regardless of your belief system, it's your God-given right to judge this photo for yourself, isn't it? So, I ask you is the image above just a group of cumulus clouds? Or are those noticeable clouds with clearly defined edges the Almighty himself? Still, no matter the answer, lots of us will continue to look to the sky, searching for life's deeper meaning. Or are we searching in vain, deluding ourselves while involving our senses that random images are actually miracles or signs from above?
Why do we look to the skies above in relation to God? Sure, as children we stare at the sky and see shapes appear in the swirling clouds but as adults some of us look upwards reaching for a higher power. Are we waiting for signs? Or proof of God?
I for one was blown away by this photo and yes, I believe it's a real snapshot of God in the clouds. Although personally, I'll admit it is hard to digest this image as I am living a hell-on-earth type of life, wishing daily that I didn't feel so hollow, so broken.
I was raised a Catholic, so sure I believe in God -- but lately, I have to wonder how much he really believes in me, or my family. God only knows why I was one of the first to see this photo. And since I believe that he made me human, I believe he won't condemn me when I behave like one. That said I've spent my fair share of time blaming him for my actions and inactions. Yes sir, I've projected my fears, insecurities, and failures onto Him. Blaming God has been easier than blaming myself.
Okay, I'm sure you're thinking that's not the typical reaction of someone who just seen God manifest himself in the clouds. But God forbid in these turbulent times anyone of us gets real? You know raw, I have -- by opening up my life, my struggles, and my insecurities with my story. Although, I still struggle with what I'm doing here on this planet and why there's so much unfairness and evil in this world. Still, I do see this picture as proof that God is speaking to all of us. So who among us is willing to listen? Please share your opinions below. I'd love to hear them.

- Golden fluid acrylics and Liquitex soft body acrylics (titanium white, cad yellow light, quinacridone magenta, phthalo blue, raw umber)
- Stretched canvas
- Various brushes I showed throughout the video (artist loft scrumbler, princeton round blender...)
- No medium was used for the acrylics
