Lake Washington is a large freshwater lake adjacent to the city of Seattle. It is the largest lake in King County and the second largest natural lake in the state of Washington, after Lake Chelan. It is bordered by the cities of Seattle on the west, Bellevue and Kirkland on the east, Renton on the south and Kenmore on the north, and surrounds Mercer Island. The lake is fed by the Sammamish River at its north end and the Cedar River at its south.
Lake Washington received its present name in 1854 after Thomas Mercer suggested it be named after George Washington, as the new Washington Territory had been named the year before. Prior names for Lake Washington have included the Duwamish name Xacuabš (Lushootseed: literally great-amount-of-water), as well as Lake Geneva, Lake Duwamish, and the Chinook jargon name, "Hyas Chuck," meaning, "Big Lake."
The lake provides great sport fishing opportunities. Some species found in this lake are Coastal Cutthroat Trout, Rainbow Trout, Largemouth Bass, Smallmouth Bass, Yellow Perch, and Black Crappie.
Renton is a city in King County, Washington, United States. Situated 11 miles (18 km) southeast of downtown Seattle, Washington, Renton straddles the southeast shore of Lake Washington, at the mouth of the Cedar River. While long an important salmon fishing area for Native Americans, Renton was first settled by people of European descent in the 1860s, and its early economy was based on coal mining, clay production, and timber export. Today, Renton is best known as the final assembly point for the Boeing 737 family of commercial airplanes, but it is also home to a growing number of well known manufacturing, technology, and service companies, including Boeing, Paccar, GEICO, Parallels, Inc., Providence Health & Services, and Wizards of the Coast. The population was 90,927 at the 2010 census. Renton currently contains the 8th largest population in the state, and is the 4th largest in King County. The National Football League's Seattle Seahawks have a training facility in Renton. It is the second-largest facility in the NFL at 200,000 square feet (19,000 m2).

The Radiant Light wall piece has two perspectives. When looked at from the side it only appears to have rows of walls and chambers. These represent obstacles within our society which an individual may be faced with or impacted by. These include violence, hatred, theft, love of money, drugs, alcohol, lust, pornography, pre-marital sex, divorce, etc.. As a person begins to break free of these things their perspective of life and the surrounding world begins to change. This is represented by moving from the side of the art piece towards the center, realizing the cross which begins to take shape. Looking at the art piece from a front view represents a person’s realization of God’s existence and the acceptance of this greater power into their life. The rays emerging from the cross represent Go...

Jade Lake, located above Marmot Lake in the Cascade Mountain range of Washington State is magical, with bright azure colored water from Lynch Glacier and a towering mountain backdrop. The scramble route above Marmot Lake can be challenging when the rocks are coated with ice, but for those with mountaineering skills that wish to enjoy the essence of the Pacific Northwest in complete solitude, going there in mid October can be a once in a lifetime experience. Dry Falls is one of the great geological wonders of North America. Carved by Ice Age floods that long ago disappeared, the former waterfall is now a stark cliff, 400 feet high and 3.5 miles wide. In its heyday, the waterfall was four times the size of Niagara Falls. Today it overlooks a desert oasis filled with lakes and abundant wildlife. Check this out for a side of Washington State that is so different that it seems out of place, but once again it is spectacular...Sun Lakes State Park and Dry Falls, which is located near Coulee City, Washington. music by Artist: Keyn project Title: michael`s morning

The rooms have recently been renovated and have a great water view. The hotel also has a number of great quirky amenities like their "Raid the Pantry" feature, essentially a free night-time extensive snack bar for guests in the lobby, or the hotel resident dog, a black lab you can take out for a jog on the lake.
