Sam Spiegel (November 11, 1901 – December 31, 1985) was an Austrian-born American independent film producer.
Spiegel was born in Jarosław, Galicia, Austria-Hungary (now in Poland) as Samuel P. Spiegel to a German-Jewish father and Polish mother[citation needed] and educated at the University of Vienna. His brother was Shalom Spiegel, a professor of medieval Hebrew poetry. Spiegel worked briefly in Hollywood in 1927 following a stint serving with Hashomer Hatzair in Palestine. He then went to Berlin to produce German and French adaptations of Universal films until 1933 when he fled Germany. As an independent producer, Spiegel was behind a number of European films. In 1938, he immigrated to Mexico and subsequently the United States. Between 1935 and 1954, Spiegel billed himself as S.P. Eagle. After that he used his real name. "...Spiegel a decidedly flawed protagonist, as well as the wit, sophistication, and Old World charm that make him a titanic figure the likes of which the movie industry will not see again."

Martin Charles Scorsese (
/skɔrˈsɛsɛ/; born November 17, 1942) is an American film director, screenwriter, producer, actor, and film historian. In 1990 he founded The Film Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to film preservation, and in 2007 he founded the World Cinema Foundation. He is a recipient of the AFI Life Achievement Award for his contributions to the cinema, and has won Academy Award, Palme d'Or, Emmys, Golden Globes, BAFTAs, and DGA Awards.
Scorsese's body of work addresses such themes as Italian American identity, Roman Catholic concepts of guilt and redemption,machismo, modern crime, and violence. Scorsese is hailed as one of the most significant and influential filmmakers of all time, directing landmark films such as Mean Streets (1973), Taxi Driver (1976), Raging Bull (1980), and Goodfellas (1990) – all of which he collaborated on with actor and close friend Robert De Niro. He won the Academy Award for Best Director for The Departed (2006), having been nominated a previous five times.

Mike Fraser is a Canadian record producer, engineer, and mixer. Mike is best known for his work with AC/DC, Metallica, Aerosmith and Joe Satriani. Recently he has worked with Mother Mother, Elvis Costello, Chickenfoot, Enter Shikari, The Cult and Franz Ferdinand.
Mike has won the Juno Award for Recording Engineer of the Year twice, in 1989 and 1992, and was nominated in 1995 and 2008.

As a multitalented musician, expert collaborator, award-winning producer and long-time DJ, Sam Spiegel is truly a passionate artist. His politically conscious project N.A.S.A. has led him on a winding journey since his 2009 debut album 'The Spirit of Apollo'. This album has a list of featured collaborators to rival all other lists, including Kanye West, M.I.A., Tom Waits and more. Even today, Sam continues to work with such artists on a series of projects.
Spiegel has been nominated for a Grammy for his production, a series of major movie scores under his belt including two Spike Jonze films, and as of recently, he's on a come up with N.A.S.A. yet again. His 2015 releases focus most specifically on the ongoing conflicts between the United States and the Middle East, India and Ethiopia, and Brazil and Jamaica.

Interesante film para disfrutar y compartir.-

In 1946, Mr. Wilson (Edward G. Robinson) of the United Nations War Crimes Commission is hunting for Nazi fugitive Franz Kindler (Orson Welles). Kindler has effectively concealed his Nazi activities prior to his escape to the United States. He assumes a new identity, Charles Rankin, lands a job as a university professor and marries Mary Longstreet (Loretta Young), who is the daughter of Supreme Court justice Judge Adam Longstreet.
Wilson releases Kindler's former associate Meinike (Konstantin Shayne) and follows him to Harper, Connecticut, but Meinike is strangled before he can identify Kindler. Wilson must convince Mrs. Rankin, the only person who knows for certain that Meinike came to meet her husband, that her Charles is a war criminal.
The Stranger is a 1946 American film noir/drama film starring Orson Welles, Edward G. Robinson, and Loretta Young. Welles also directed the film, which was based on an Oscar-nominated screenplay written by Victor Trivas. Sam Spiegel was the film's producer, and the film's musical score is by Bronisław Kaper. It is believed that this is the first film released after World War II that showed footage of concentration camps. The Stranger was the only film made by Welles to have been a bona fide box office success on the first release (Citizen Kane had made back its budget and marketing, but not enough to make a profit). The copyright was by "The Haig Corporation" and it has been in the public domain for several years.

Future funk music makers Maximum Hedrum (Sam Spiegel, Derrick Green) put on an insanely intense performance at Toronto's Echo Beach on Canada Day. Off stage, they're two of the most genuine guys I've had the pleasure of meeting. Post-show, their tour manager (Alex Schneiderman of the band Scattered Suns) led me backstage to meet Spiegel and Green. They had just changed out of their black and white checkered suits and were getting ready to enjoy the Yeah Yeah Yeah's show. Future funk music makers Maximum Hedrum (Sam Spiegel, Derrick Green) put on an insanely intense performance at Toronto's Echo Beach on Canada Day. Off stage, they're two of the most genuine guys I've had the pleasure of meeting.
Post-show, their tour manager (Alex Schneiderman of the band Scattered Suns) led me backstage to meet Spiegel and Green. They had just changed out of their black and white checkered suits and were getting ready to enjoy the Yeah Yeah Yeah's show. I knew the interview with Spiegel would be fun after he offered me a shot of tequila and asked if I'd like to watch the show from side stage (um, yes). Karen O and the rest of the band picked up where Maximum Hedrum left off: playing some stellar music for everyone at the beach.
Just before the end of the show, Alex invited us over to Toronto's Soho House where Spiegel would be DJing. After the set and before leaving for another bar, Spiegel and Green sat down at the venue's piano. They talked baby-making music, Satan/Seitan, and showed off an impressive handlebar moustache.
