Little Havana (Spanish: La Pequeña Habana) is a neighborhood of Miami, Florida, United States. Home to many Cuban immigrant residents, as well as many residents from Central and South America, Little Havana is named after Havana, the capital and largest city in Cuba.
Little Havana is noted as a center of social, cultural, and political activity in Miami. Its festivals, including the Calle Ocho Festival, Viernes Culturales/Cultural Fridays, the Three Kings Parade and others, have been televised to millions of people every year on different continents. It is also known for its landmarks, including Calle Ocho (SW 8th Street/Tamiami Trail), and its Walk of Fame (for famous artists and Latin personalities, including Celia Cruz, Willy Chirino, and Gloria Estefan), the Cuban Memorial Boulevard, Plaza de la Cubanidad, Domino Park, the Tower Theater, Jose Marti Park, the Firestone/Walgreens Building, St. John Bosco Catholic Church, Municipio de Santiago de Cuba and others.
Little Havana is the best known neighborhood for Cuban exiles in the world. It is characterized by its street life, with restaurants, music and other cultural activities, mom and pop enterprises, political passion, and great warmth amongst its residents.
Havana (/həˈvænə/; Spanish: La Habana, [la aˈβana]) is the capital city, largest city, province, major port, and leading commercial centre of Cuba. The city proper has a population of 2.1 million inhabitants, and it spans a total of 728.26 km2 (281.18 sq mi) – making it the largest city by area, the most populous city, and the third largest metropolitan area in the Caribbean region. The city extends mostly westward and southward from the bay, which is entered through a narrow inlet and which divides into three main harbours: Marimelena, Guanabacoa and Atarés. The sluggish Almendares River traverses the city from south to north, entering the Straits of Florida a few miles west of the bay.
The city of Havana was founded by the Spanish in the 16th century and due to its strategic location it served as a springboard for the Spanish conquest of the continent becoming a stopping point for the treasure-laden Spanish galleons on the crossing between the New World and the Old World. King Philip II of Spain granted Havana the title of City in 1592. Walls as well as forts were built to protect the old city. The sinking of the U.S. battleship Maine in Havana's harbor in 1898 was the immediate cause of the Spanish–American War.

Experience Cuban culture in Calle Ocho in Miami
Hispanic culture permeates everything in Miami’s Little Havana area: elderly men playing dominoes as they discuss politics, cigar rollers deep at work, or Cuban exiles talking with presidential candidates at a Cuban coffee window. With the recent rapprochement between Cuba and United States, one can only expect stronger ties between South Florida and Cuba. The story of a conflicted explorer on vacation in Miami. I joined a group of travel videographers in Miami on behalf of the Circa 39 Hotel in Miami Beach and Diamond PR to create a video highlighting the property, as well as a specific neighborhood - Little Havana. I was torn between my typical "Travel Deeper" way of exploring vs staying at the hotel and doing absolutely nothing for a few days. This video highlights that Miami Vacation Dilemma! Travel video about destination la Habana in Cuba. La Habana, capital of Cuba, the Caribbean metropolis that for many decades has been so little loved and so badly neglected, with breathtakingly restored beauty alongside unbelievable ruins - the queen of the Antilles in a country that lies between sun and socialism, between Rumba and Revolution! As early as 1553, the Spanish Conquistadors chose Havana's harbour as a rendezvous for ships that traded gold and silver in its colonies and, to protect this 'Gateway To The New World' from attack by looters, several forts were built, the oldest of which being the Castello El Morro whose construction took more than two decades. As standards of living progressed, pirates and buccaneers came here and repeatedly destroyed parts of the growing town but ...
Vlog 049 - Saturday • May 28, 2016 Welcome back to Day 2 of the Miami Trip. On this day we woke up to what seemed to be a stormy day. In morning we woke up to showers and thunder. We did some research and found a place in Miami called the Villa Vizcayaa Museum and Garden (Vizcaya is the former villa and estate of businessman James Deering, of the Deering McCormick-International Harvester fortune, on Biscayne Bay in the present day Coconut Grove neighborhood of Miami, Florida. The early 20th century Vizcaya estate also includes: extensive Italian Renaissance gardens; native woodland landscape; and a historic village outbuildings compound. The landscape and architecture were influenced by Veneto and TuscanItalian Renaissance models and designed in the Mediterranean Revival architecture styl...
Jonny here, right now I'm in Havana, and in this short film I'm going to explain a little about tourism in Cuba. Most cultural holidays to Cuba will start in Havana, a city of magnificent decaying colonial architecture, monuments and parks, museums and galleries, music and bars and large old American cars. But the first thing you'll probably notice wandering around Havana is the near total lack of consumerism. Cuba is still a communist country with no commercial influence from America, and as such there's almost no evidence at all of the large multinationals we're used to in the West; you won't find any Starbucks or McDonalds here. There are no billboards advertising Coca Cola, there are no glass fronted shopping malls. Which is actually really quite refreshing. The whole city gives you ...

I was perescoping my ride through Little Havana in Miami on a hot Saturday afternoon. You will see interesting people, live bands playing music, and I take you inside historical Domino Park. I get kicked out because I had my bike but you get to see plenty.

Won't you sit down
Talk to me
And tell me
What's on your mind
I'll lend a listening ear
Some sympathy
And a word or two
Of kindness
Won't you sit down
Talk to me
You'll find a whole lotta lovin' right here
You need to know
That everything
That everything
Will be just fine
Come share your dreams with me
And I'll tell you all of mine
Won't you spend some time with me
And I'll pore you a glass of wine
You can feel secure
Here in my company
You'll find a whole lotta lovin' right here
(Moaning, some more get it on moaning)
Won't you spend
Some time with me
And I'll pore you a glass of wine
You can feel secure
Here in my company
You'll find a whole lotta lovin' right here
So won't you sit down?
Sit down
Oh, won't you sit down!
And talk to me?
Sit down and talk to me
Won't you tell me what's on your mind, baby?
You'll find a whole lotta lovin' right here
Won't you sit down, baby, baby?
Won't you sit down?
Talk to me!
Heyy!!!!
Sit down, baby
Talk to me!
You'll find a whole lotta lovin' right here
Sittin' next to ya'
Oh, baby
Sit down!
