Jumpy Thug: [screaming] WHERE ARE YOU?::Batman: [appears upside-down behind him, whispering] Here.
[from teaser]::Bruce Wayne: They told me there was nothing out there, nothing to fear. But the night my parents were murdered I caught a glimpse of something. I've looked for it ever since. I went around the world, searched in all the shadows. And there is something out there in the darkness, something terrifying, something that will not stop until it gets revenge... Me.
Uniformed Policeman #1: [describing the Batmobile] He is in a vehicle!::Dispatcher: Make and color?::Uniformed Policeman #1: It's a... black...?::[looks at his partner, who shrugs]::Uniformed Policeman #1: ...tank!
[Bruce is refusing to demonstrate his commitment to justice by executing a criminal]::Ra's Al Ghul: You cannot lead these men unless you are prepared to do what is necessary to defeat evil.::Bruce Wayne: And where would I be leading these men?::Ra's Al Ghul: Gotham. As Gotham's favored son you will be ideally placed to strike at the heart of criminality.::Bruce Wayne: How?::Ra's Al Ghul: Gotham's time has come. Like Constantinople or Rome before it the city has become a breeding ground for suffering and injustice. It is beyond saving and must be allowed to die. This is the most important function of the League of Shadows. It is one we've performed for centuries. Gotham... must be destroyed.
Dr. Jonathan Crane: I am more than aware that you are not intimidated by *me*, Mr. Falcone. But you know who I'm working for, and when he gets here...::Carmine Falcone: He-he's coming to Gotham?::Dr. Jonathan Crane: Yes he is. And when he gets here, he's not gonna want to hear that you have endangered our operation just to get your thugs out of a little jail time.
Henri Ducard: Are you ready to begin?::Bruce Wayne: I-I can barely stand...::Henri Ducard: [kicks him] Death does not wait for you to be ready! Death is not considerate, or fair! And make no mistake: here, you face Death.
Earle: Jessica, where are you?::[walks into outer room]::Bruce Wayne: [to Jessica] Eye on the ball, and...::Earle: Why is no one answering the phone?::[sees Bruce from behind, teaching Jessica to play golf]::Bruce Wayne: [turning around] It's Wayne Enterprises, Mr. Earle, I'm sure they'll call back.::Earle: Bruce? You're supposed to be dead.::Bruce Wayne: Sorry to disappoint.
Jim Gordon: [sideswipes several cars with the Tumbler; grimaces] Sorry!
Bruce Wayne: You were on the board?::Lucius Fox: When your father ran things, yeah.::Bruce Wayne: You knew my father?::Lucius Fox: Oh, yeah. Helped him build his train. Ah, here we are. Kevlar utility harness. Gas-powered magnetic grapple gun. The three hundred and fifty pound test monofilament. Wonderful project, your dad's train. Routed it right into Wayne Tower along with the water and power utilities. Kind of made Wayne Tower the unofficial centre of Gotham City. Of course, Earle let it go to rot. Here we are. Nomex survival suit for advanced infantry. Kevlar biweave, reinforced joints.
Ra's al Ghul: You are just an ordinary man in a cape! That's why you couldn't fight injustice and that's why you can't stop this train!::Batman: Who said anything about stopping it?::[Ra's al Ghul looks up, confused, and sees his own sword jammed into the brake panel]::Jim Gordon: [blows up the train supports] Yes!::Batman: [reverses his grip and pins Ra's al Ghul to the floor] You never learned to mind your surroundings!
Henri Ducard is a fictional character in the Batman comic book universe. Created by Sam Hamm, Ducard's first appearance was in Detective Comics #599 (April 1989), part of the "Blind Justice" story arc. Sam Hamm was the screenwriter of the 1989 Batman film and was asked by Batman comic editor Denny O'Neill to guest write a story arc in Detective Comics, within the arc he created the character of Henri Ducard. The character was later amalgamated with Ra's al Ghul as the main villain in the film Batman Begins, a reboot of the Batman franchise Hamm had helped originate.
In the comics, Bruce Wayne approaches Ducard for training in Paris, during his early days traveling the world. Ducard, a knowledgeable detective with excellent man-hunting skills, imparts much of his knowledge to the young, keen Bruce.
Later in the series, it is revealed that Ducard is largely amoral, working for criminals as often as he does the law. He deduces Batman's secret identity, but keeps it to himself, thinking, as he leaves, that Batman continues to exist because true criminals realize he distracts the people from the greater crimes by his public battle against lesser crimes.
Ra's al Ghul (Arabic: رأس الغول, Rāʾs āl-Ḡwl "Demon's Head") is a fictional character, a DC Comics supervillain who is one of Batman's greatest enemies. His name in Arabic has been translated in the comics as "The Demon's Head" and references the name of the star Algol. Created by writer Dennis O'Neil and artist Neal Adams, he was introduced in Batman #232's "Daughter of the Demon" (June 1971). Given his high status as a supervillain, he has also come into conflict with Superman and other superheroes in the DC Universe. Ra's al Ghul has been featured in various media adaptions, most notably the 2005 Christopher Nolan film, Batman Begins, where he was portrayed by actors Liam Neeson and Ken Watanabe (the latter being a successful decoy). IGN's list of the Top 100 Comic Book Villains of All Time List ranked Ra's as #7.
Ra's al Ghul is an international assassin whose ultimate goal is a world in perfect environmental balance. He believes that the best way to achieve this balance is to eliminate most of humanity. Ra's usually tries to assault the world's human populace with a biological weapon, such as a genetically-engineered virus. He is aided in this quest by the Lazarus Pits, reservoirs of rejuvenating chemicals that restore the dying to life; these pits have granted him a lifespan of several centuries.

He moved to Dublin after university to further his acting career, joining the renowned Abbey Theatre. In the early 1990s, he moved again to the United States, where the wide acclaim for his performance in Schindler's List led to more high-profile work. It’s amazing how you turn your head away
Sit back - SIX PACK!
Enjoy the world’s decay
Human nature creates the situation
Now we’re all living in frustration
Create alternative ways of fighting - you’re not alone!
You’re not alone. Go!
If you try to avoid the problems, you’re part of them
You hide away in your prefab world
You close your eyes, let them brainwash you
You’re just another robot in this goddamn zoo!
Create alternative ways of fighting - you’re not alone!
You’re not alone. Alright!
If you can’t stand this planet
If you can’t stand injustice
If you can’t stand the pain
If you can’t stand the misery…
Just come and join us right away
This is your fight for freedom!
Create alternative ways of fighting
You’re not alone
Create alternative ways of fighting
You’re not alone
Set you free!
Open hearts and open minds
It’s time to take a stand
Lets make it right this time
It’s time to take a stand
Lets make it right…
Lets make it right this time!
So you say you know what it’s all about
No trends, no profit, just from the heart
But in time it’s nothing like that, so here’s my doubt
If you’re true to yourself, why do you constantly sell out?
WHY?
It’s not about who’s better and prettier
Not about haircuts and cool tattoos
False propaganda, fucked up ideology
This world is way too big for me and you
It’s time!
It’s time to take a stand
Lets make it right time
It’s to take a stand
Do you wanna hear a joke? Capitalism!
Take me back to 1980
And don’t let me be born again
I don’t wanna live in a world
Where everybody wants to cash in
But nobody wants to pay
Where are the so-called values?
True feelings no longer exist
they’re all manipulated
It comes to us like an angry fist
Like a virus, honey
It’s all about the money
True love, Who cares?
No one needs your dirty money
Go on, fight back!
True people don’t give up
who cares? I don’t!
I don’t really give a fuck
Go on, fight back!
The peace process it’s upon the table
War must come to an end, so they say
The same speech we heard a thousand times before
The same speech we hear again
There’s no way we can believe it - NO!
Smiles and handshakes, all they got
And so they take away our rights
Lies and lies is what we hear
There ain’t no fucking future here!
Don’t be an accomplice too!
Don’t join the enemy!
No peace!
Hey kid go find yourself a job - yeah right!
Punk rock sucks, music for slobs - yeah right!
You're young and dumb - yeah right!
Beer is not good for you!
You gotta live by and for the system
You don't have the right to raise your voice
What they say is exactly what you'll do
Don't even try to resist, you'll get screwed!
Yeah right ...
Pay the taxes right away - yeah right!
Sunday is the family day - yeah right!
You must be the same - yeah right!
Stop being lazy and lame!
Thank even for this beautiful place
It's god that gives us all the strength
And the religion fanatics will survive
You must be one of them to stay alive
Yeah right ...
We hear the same rhetoric every fuckin' day
We really don't care 'bout what you say
TV, media, politics and all the society
Priests, lawyers, cops and even family
We'll keep running our struggle
To all of you, close minded and blinded we say ...
You wanna save the world
But you’re too busy
You wanna spread the word
But that’s not easy
When you don’t move
You talk and talk about your ideals
And about the world’s problems
But as long as you keep quiet
Things will remain the same
Protected by the walls of your room
Doom is coming is soon
If you don’t move an inch!
You’d better get ready for rejection
This society offers no protection
Media and politics, full of rhetorical shit
And you’re an idiot and you’re a fool
‘Cuz you’re rhetorical just like them
Nothing but another of the system’s tools
Protected by the walls of your room
Doom is coming is soon
Don’t live like that
OOOOOH OOOH OOHH
keep trying to fool us!
Keep trying to!
Democracy?
What a poor excuse
another scapegoat to the methods you use
All the mistakes, all the abuse
the bombs! The guns! The imperial rights!
You wash your hands while you brainwash minds
You’re really one of a kind
If someone could kill you would be a delight
‘cuz I had enough watching innocent people dying for someone else’s fights!
Guess what, I’m not a brainwash
I’ve got my own ideals and thoughts
Guess what! Guess what!
Television, perfect escape
behind the camera, a fake plea for peace
While millions keep dying in vain
Just pawns at your murderer greedy game
And if someone talks
If someone have their own thoughts
They’re immediately considered enemies
A threat to your so-called democracy
Keep trying to blindfold us!
Keep trying to brainwash us!
Keep trying to fool us!
Where's Mike?
He should've been here two hours ago
Where's Mike?
Now while we're waiting we're listening to h2o
We thought we would be drinking all day long
But now we're just sweating
'Cause Mike doesn't come...
Your laws and ideals - I won’t follow!
Your secrets, so mysterious - I won’t follow!
Your words and actions
Your ideals, thoughts and reflections - I won’t follow!
Your conformism - won’t follow
Your egocentrism
Your lack of passion - won’t follow
A lot of “bla bla bla” and no fucking action
I won’t follow!
I can’t believe you got this far now
It’s not your fault
It’s those who carry you around
Who make you big
And make your ego breathe
No, I won’t follow
Your fight for power - I won’t follow
Your lies and greed
Every single thing you do (I won’t follow!)
Annihilation, population control
You think you rule the world
To me you mean nothing at all
Intimidation, that’s how you take control
Big in everything but in fact you’re really small
A lie
A joke
Control
You can’t change me!
Here’s your freedom!
Devotion, the blind is the one who follows
your attitude, you’re really shallow
Creation, of a new world order - disorder
Getting older - Wasting time!
Wasted youth, wasted life
Getting Older, wasting time
More than music, a feeling you'll never understand
Not part of a scene, much more than just a band
Progress? Evolution?
I'd rather keep doing it with passion.
Wasting time! Getting older!
I’m all rage inside
Don’t judge me! Don’t judge me!
Don’t you even try
I’m a time bomb
Exploding! Exploding!
Exploding any second now
I’m feeling desperate - completely out of control!
I’ve got nothing to lose, nothing to win
Spreading lies is my deadly sin
Life is meaningless - death is inevitable!
I swear - I wanna put an end to poverty
I swear - I wanna see unhappy people happy
I swear - I wanna kill, kill, kill the “war makers”
And I swear…I’m about to explode!
I’m all rage inside
Don’t judge me! Don’t judge me!
Don’t you even try
I’m a time bomb
Exploding! Exploding!
Exploding any second now…
I swear - I wanna put an end to poverty
I swear - I wanna see unhappy people happy
I swear - I wanna kill, kill, kill the “war makers”
And I swear…I’m about to explode!
It's not hard for me to realize
Who's really by my side
I don't need no hypocrites
No one can take away our pride
I know who I can count on
When I'm feeling down
And I know that no matter what
You'll always be around
'Cause we are the Punk-Rock Elite
We are rejected, treated like shit
But we are not alone
We are together as one
'Cause we are ... the Punk Rock Elite!
We don't need a million tattoos
Or a mohican painted blue
We believe in ourselves
Our hearts are true
We do what we want
We can see what's wrong
We don't care about what people say
We're together, proud and strong
'Cause we are the Punk-Rock Elite
We are rejected, treated like shit
But we are not alone
We are together as one
Your passivity really bothers me
You choose to Ignore all crimes against humanity
Options available, you made your choice
Your responsible for the murderer of those who can't raise their voice
Your passivity is murder
Plenty of alternatives along the way
Your path is determined by what the majority say
Your shallow pleasures someone else’s pain
It's time for you to start using your own brain - start using your own brain!
Think for yourself
Open up your eyes
Don't trust in anything you see
Well it seems your head’s a mess and you don’t even care
Looks like their fucking with your brain once again
On the headlines, on the TV news
All the hysterical lies
They make you scared, they make you walk in line
Go on and vote, roll the dice and try your luck
Give your opinion about how miserable the country is
But keep it to yourself because it might kill you
Conform, be there, QUIET!
Brainwashed and proud!
You act and talk the way they want
Zero words - zero opinion
Brainwashed and proud!
you’re just a number
a pawn in society
you’re exactly where the system wants you to be!
Well it seems your head’s a mess and you don’t even care
Looks like their fucking with your brain once again
On the headlines, on the TV news
Guns, Drugs, Humans being slaughtered
What rules the world ? MONEY!
Who rules the world ? LIARS!
As we watch this humanity crumble and falls
We keep on building walls!
Instead of doing the talk
Why don't we start doing the walk!
The world is getting worst everyday
It's up to us to make our road or pay
A price not fair, but we'll have to obey
Until we follow our own way
Unity shouldn't be just a word
Wouldn't be nice to live as a free bird?
Stop talking shit about each other
'Cause no one's better than the other
We're all the same, part of this game
It's time to fight strength with strength [2x]
The world is getting worst everyday
It's up to us to make our road or pay
A price not fair, but we'll have to obey
Until we follow...Until we follow our own way
Direct your actions in the right way
It's time to put differences aside
There's nothing to fear, the time is right
Intuici?n...divino tesoro
madrugar...tomar lo que viene del mar
busco en vos
te miro y te exploro
el amor avanza y nos ti?e la piel
remontar al cielo plateado
de metal
recortes de espuma en los pies
al atardecer...
nos brotan las alas
al atardecer despego
y te busco en el mar
...y navegar...
y encontrarme con tus pupilas
...sin hablar...
no me altero no tengo prisa...
no voy hacia ning?n lugar...
...y navegar...
y encontrarme con tus pupilas
...sin hablar...
no me altero no tengo prisa...
no voy hacia ning?n lugar...
a encontrarme con tus pupilas...
...sin hablar...
no me altero no tengo prisa...
no voy hacia ning?n lugar...
si no vas...yo no voy...
si no vas no voy...
intuici?n...divino tesoro...
No estoy tranquilo mi amor,
yo no quiero estar atado a nada
imaginen a los dinosaurios en la cama
Cuando el mundo tira para abajo
yo no quiero estar atado a nada
nada me alcanzar? si aprendo hoy a correr.
quisiera abandonar tus manos,
hay un sonido golpeando a mi puerta
entre una nube de cosas secretas
algo mutando en la cabeza
algo se escucha entre las grietas,
d?jalo entrar.
d?jalo entrar.
no se ve.
todo sucede a la vez.
vas mirandote los pies,
solo escuchas esa voz
todo gira alrededor de tu estrella.
cuida tu cueva los lobos acechan
huelen tu carne, siguen tu huella
fruto del alma que se eleva
m?s que ir ardiendo y dar pelea
d?jalo atr?s
y en la cabeza lluvia de estrellas
dulces palabras sobre la mesa
fruto del alma que se eleva
vamos arando por la arena
nieva en el mar.
no se ve,
todo sucede a la vez
vas mirandote los pies
solo escuchas esa voz
Y acerc?ndose me hacia tan feliz.
y acerc?ndose me hacia tan feliz.
hojas secas
todo lo que toco est? vencido
ida y vuelta
vida nueva es ir adonde sea.
Debo estar mejor
tu amor me sienta bien
la guerra termin?
y todo puede ser como quer?s
quer?s m?s?
qu?res bien...
lenta noche llega
siento en m? las gotas de roc?o
ya no temas
todo ?rbol da sus propios frutos.
debo estar mejor
tu amor me sienta bien
la guerra termin?
y todo puede ser como quer?s
quer?s m?s?
tu mal me hace tan bien, me hace hacer canciones.
Recordando tu expresi?n
Vuelvo a desear
Esas noches de calor
Llenas de ansiedad
Sofocado por el sue?o y la presi?n
Busco un cuerpo para amar
La distancia va perdiendo su espesor
Pronta entrega por favor
Me puedo estimular, con m?sica y alcohol,
Pero me excito m?s,
cuando es con vos,
Siento todo irreal
cuando es con vos,
Siento todo irreal
Sofocado por el sue?o y la presi?n
Busco un cuerpo para amar
La distancia va perdiendo su espesor
Pronta entrega por favor
Me puedo estimular, con m?sica y alcohol,
Pero me excito m?s,
cuando es con vos,
Siento todo irreal
cuando es con vos,
Siento todo irreal
[Chorus:]
Let me tell you all a story
I'd like you all to
Take a walk alongside
Take a look at reality
Alternate reality
Your history
A Different Mirror
Am I my father's son?
Am I my forefathers son
When his poor daughter
Whore out of slums
My instrument
My heartbeat
My drum
Was stole
In the pits of a ship
As I squint for the sun
A heavy lash
Traveled
Hit my body mass
Split it into half
Cutting like
A razors edge or glass
So I laugh
Gotta be a dream
To be unfree
Starved hungry
Drug by a chain
Called ugly
Only my scars love me
Only the stars far from me
Charred by the tar
On a branch where they hung me
Burned through the blood
And the bone
As my soul rose
Landed in the stomach
Of my woman
Soon to be a mother
Snuck out of the slave quarters
Saw me sway beneath the moon
Raped so many times
That she was thought to
Have a barren womb
Haunted by the nightmares
I return in her dreams
9 months in the fields
No maternity leave
Traveled out the birthing channel
Minutes after I was born
Overseers came to
Snatch me
Right out of my mothers arms
Blood stains splattered on
Her tattered clothes
Weakened by the labor
She gets up to follow after slow
Crying screaming no
But I was sold
Worked hard until my death
And in that final breath
My soul left
And this curse lasts for centuries
If you've forgotten
Read your shirt tag
What percent is cotton
[Chorus]
Beneath the stars
And calloused hands from
Working in the yard
They said they freed my people
Yet we still work on the farm
Several generations past
Emancipations gone
I moved off to the North
And volunteered to fight a war
The same strain of DNA
That slaved away
Is running through the swollen veins
Of he who joined the draft
To fight the German state
And as I held my rifle
And my Bible
Up against my rivals
Crawling under jagged wire
Tired
Prayed for my survival
Tapped the filter
Lit my cigarette
Frozen to the bone
Beneath the uniform
Yet dripping sweat
Beads under the army greens
With patches on the sleeves
Lying in a trench
I hope I'm catching no disease
After fighting for this country's
Freedom over seas
I return to burning crosses
Fire hoses and police
It was cool for me to risk my life
To fight the Reich
And go and shoot
But I can't feed my pregnant wife
Or go inside
The voting booth
So I
Break bricks
Break dishes
Shoot dice
Sip Sherry
Snort girl
Shot some boy-boy twice
Caught wind
Of a quick come up
Jewelry store heist
Said they need a gun man
To watch his back on Thursday night
I said all right
With that hunger in my eyes
A baby on the way
My woman's strong
But still she cries
So the plans devised
Meet on Wednesday to go over this
Life is such a gamble
With no poker chips
Leave the plotting meeting
Stop to call my woman on the pay phone
9 months she's pregnant
Swollen feet but she don't stay home
Working cross the tracks
Where don't know Blacks live at
Black child in Jeopardy
From cleaning White baby's cracks
Hello?
I just got up in something dangerous
She says if it'll get us out of poverty
She'll pray for us
She clutches on our baby
I hang up and walk into a store
Bump into a cop
While walking in
He's walking out the door
Pulled out his baton
His hand is on his holster
And the trigger
Swung and split my head
And said
You watch where you're going (Nigger)
Blood running down my face
Neck and back
I couldn't help but react
Smacked the pistol out his hand
Punched him in his face until it bled
Choked him by the throat
Until his eyes rolled back into his head
Before he died he struggled
Reaching out to get his gun
So inspire by it
I ain't even think to run
As the sirens sounded
I walked down the block
To catch a breath
A dozen cops surrounded
As I lit another cigarette
I yelled
I fought your war
To prove that I'm a man
They beat me til I died
But after cuffing up my broken hands
My soul rose
And landed in the stomach of my woman
As she knelt upon another
Pearly white floor humming
The comfort of this country
Has been built on so much misery
[Chorus:]
How do I explain
What is it I can say
That'll help me make it through the day
How do I explain
What is it I can say
That'll help me change my evil ways
How do I explain
What is it I can say
That'll help me take off all these chains
Pleasure with the pain
How do I explain
I'm a Devil's Advocate...
Miss Brown Skin
Light brown skin
Dark brown skin
We can link around 10
I said, I ain't got no lady
You ain'r got no man
Tell me what's the deal
What's the plan
You want to talk
Want to touch
Want to make love
Want to have sex
Want to fuck?
You want all of the above
But you want it with somebody
You can trust
Might as well face it
I'm addicted to love
Or is it lust
Trying to keep you in my grasp
In my clutch
When we split like a dutch afterwards
I wondered if we moved in a rush
Not waiting for the next bus
What they say,
Every 15 here comes another one
'Bout to get in something that's troublesome
Is a relationship possible
Is it realistic or an obstacle
Not for you
I'm on the phone
Said I need some time alone
When you gone
Wish I had you in my home
Said you've got a Jonz in your bones
Play D'angelo
Angie Stone told me
Come and get it while it's warm
I called you back and said come on
Let's meet halfway
We can burn it til
We filling up the ashtray
And I've never been the one for betrayl
I've just got to find a way to say no
Devil's Advocate
[Chorus:]
How do I explain
What is it I can say
That'll help me make it through the day
How do I explain
What is it I can say
That'll help me change my evil ways
How do I explain
What is it I can say
That'll help me take off all these chains
Pleasure with the pain
How do I explain
Sins of the father
Cast down upon the son
As the sun sits overcast
Beaming down upon us
Hand inside the gauntlet
With a hair trigger
Father figure
Views The Bible Channel
As he sips upon his liquor
Son watches father
Watching channel
As the hammer hits the anvil
And it's thinning out the blade
I recollect the times I could of died
By suicide but stayed alive
Before I hit the 7th grade
I met a friend
Who jumped over the ledge
But someone grabbed her leg
Before the halo or the flames came overhead
I understood that all her tears were shed
And realized that I lived in denial
Later restless in my bed
Know the secrets some should never know
Deep inside I hold
Wishing I was never ever told
Praised by others
Telling me I'm bold
But I often wished my ears were shut
Mouth were taped
And eyes were closed
[Chorus:]
How do I explain
What is it I can say
That'll help me make it through the day
How do I explain
What is it I can say
That'll help me change my evil ways
How do I explain
What is it I can say
That'll help me take off all these chains
Pleasure with the pain
How do I explain
The high rise is bigger
Than the skyscrapers in the distance
Living in a complex
Can be some complex
Section 8 'til we get it straight
I said, we gon make it big
Get up out here any day
[Repeat]
[Chorus:]
How do I explain
What is it I can say
That'll help me make it through the day
How do I explain
What is it I can say
That'll help me change my evil ways
How do I explain
What is it I can say
That'll help me take off all these chains
Pleasure with the pain
[x2:]
They keep building, they keep building
They start fallin, we are gonna rise
As the world falls victim to the hands of man
Could it be we're damned or is it all part of a plan to make us understand?
Underneath the heavens we use weapons and aggression
I got caught up in the lessons to the point it's - wait what was the question?
They televise lies organize crime til we are all blind slowly dying just wanna get high
So how you get ahead when you're behind hopin that weather shine
We're in a rat race tryna better your time (I pace, stop tie my lace, dropped out of place)
When I saw all the bars on the open gate
When I looked at all the stars and I don't relate
Then I find it really hard runnin through the date
Been confused by the rules try to prove payin dues gonna win in the end now and then we lose
What's to lose if ya bruised black and blue?
It's ya move do whatcha have to do
[x2:]
And they keep building, they just keep building
When they start fallin, we are gonna rise
Yo what's the rain in the sun when there's wine in the shade
A common concept we've accepted over the previous decades
Paradise lost in exchange for time saved
Time is money yeah they cause the cost of livin escalate
And god is guessin after every discretion it's a game of charades
From the womb to the tomb they still got us enslaved
Workin the beat the hand of time but the clock is man made
Labor hard make a living still getting underpaid
And they spy on us through our clothes gates blinds and shades
Tapped phones laptops our privacy they invade
Pumpin propoganda the government wants you afraid
So they can control you through fear, that's how they make you behave
From the freezer out the box and to the microwave
Tv dinner food for thought that slop will rot your brain
Get ya hooked they overdose ya till ya crave the craze
Yeah it's deep but it all leads to a shallow grave
[x2:]
They keep building, they keep building
They start fallin, we are gonna rise
Huh... as the bricks and cement try to close us in
Put us in the pen where the pen is our only friend
Spent every cent on the rent pullin lint out the inseams dreams are the things that we need
I believe if we ever grieve will my daughter bury me
Finally we could be free self therapy
But we gotta strategize think carefully
"I've got a feeling. I just can't reveal it. When you are near me. Just? "
[Intro: Brother Ali Speaking]
No no no. Naw. Not buying it dude. I'm not buying you on the microphone. See these dude over here man, see this is a lifetime thing that's goin' on man. We put our life into this. This is not something you jump up and do. Toki please testify right now.
[Verse 1: Toki]
Tabernackle
Grabbin' on your Adam's apple
Wild as Axl, Rose when it comes to shows
Hop up in the front row knock your beer down
Screaming into the microphone, blow your ear out
I'm rockin' on them haters mane
Make the crowd hit the ground when they hear that 808
Get my can on blam on
When I rock you swear it was a shan bar in Ann Bar?
Prophets
And I promise when you touch the booth
Can I come out of it you're gonna need a couple screws
Blow the doors off the hinges
The door break the frame and your frame break your lens
I build and destroy
Ain't Larry Craig leg but you're feeling your boy
And y'all ain't messing with this excellence
Send them in and you can get your next of kin stretched again
[Chorus]
[Speaking: Toki]
Lay down flat. Naw, you ain't fuckin' with Ali man. Yo Ali man, you gotta let these cats know what time it is man. Let's go. Let's go.
[Verse 2: Brother Ali]
Uptown, downtown
Crowned and world renown
Stuck my dick in the ground and spun the whole world around
Booty Graymore?, reborn my dirty mouth
Swerve through your little urban town ready to burn it down
Rap is feeling is like the curb is in your mouth
Doc Martin steady restin' on your neck, you're plenty nervous now
They heard about it word of mouth
The truth is the lights is when I'm in the house roach's scurry out
Rude bwoy, murder sound
I burst around I hit you dead directly in the chest, spun your shirt around
Jump back daddy
My size 12 wide Kenneth Coles will reside in your ass cavity
Come back hand slap spectacularly
Never hit a woman, but a rapper I will smack them silly
Why one would try to wrestle with me
If I go to war I'm bring half of Minne Apple with me
[Chorus]
[Speaking: Brother Ali]
Ha ha ha ha. This is how it's done. Toki man. Take me back to the North side man. As a kid, take me back.
[Verse 3: Toki Wright]
I used to take 808 breaks
On cassettes made off the best techs with the paper mate
Scrape every nickle out the bottom of the pickle jar
Rather count the record though I know where mama's pistols are
Growin' up Buddhist in the middle of the apple seed
Raised around some wankstas, straight up out the baby factory
Every up day another punk would want to scrap with me
Now-a-days I see the same old punks, they want to rap with me
I tell them e-mail me
Now them same suckers be e-mailing me daily
On the road I got dissed on the Internet
But I was on the road and you hoes was on the Internet
I punk fire out a young squire, heavily
Get a penalty, from the umpire
I'm so hungry check my appetite
So y'all better eat your heart out like a sacrifice
You can call it all basic
I'm AT&T; more bars in more places
I got more lines than Asics
Gels, you can tell that I'm tight by how I laced it
Bout to do to y'all is nothin'
Best hit to come up out the Twins since Kirby Puckett
When it comes down to having more to say
Best believe a brother knows the Time and the Morris Day
I'm on my up north shit
My DC, midwest, bust off quick
And I roll with the Brother like
We were two seeds born out the same mother Wright
[Chorus]
[Outro: Brother Ali speaking]
(Hey. What goes up, must come down)
([George Bush:] I can assure you ladies and gentlemen, the cause of freedom is in good hands.)
Who set the standards of what is right, what is wrong?
What is night? What is morn?
Missed the calm before the storm
Back in Vietnam when he lost his arm
Held on to his charm
Praying for the day he'd move into the dawn
The truth is he can't handle it
He can't dismantle it
System that'll trick him
Systematically becomes a victim
So he flick 'em
Ha ha ha stick 'em
Stick 'em up stickin' to them guns
Start runnin' them funds
His disability was twofold
Now he's too old
Caught out in the cold
Tryna pawn the shit he stole
Scolded by the same law that he fought for
Stuck inside a city's wall
Where anything can pop off
Be all that you can be
Get a degree
But never said you'd be an amputee
Land of the free
Home of the blame game
World economic mainframe
Unified force, gang bang, same thing
Chain hang, low to the floor
Shinnin' in the light
On the prison bus labeled
Who's ready to bite?
The end justice is just us
Dumbstruck
[?] won a second term
Dumbfuck, dumb luck
Cheaters never win unless you're president
You appoint a cabinet that exists
Long after establishment
So we play the race card in the face off
Hardly pass the state bar
More intrigued by souping up the race cause
State troopers chase call
Back up if you backed up
Been fallin' way behind let's pull the slack up
Went and bought a sack chapped to crack up
Put it on the block
We put ourselves upon the auction block
You wanna buy? You wanna watch?
Lookin' at the clock, times up
My rhymes up
If you got somethin' to say why front 'cause
[Chorus: x4]
We are in a state of emergency
Classic clash of the masters with masters
From questionable tactics
And questions with little answers
Across this canvas
I'm draggin' this dagger to cut frames
Like bogus breakin' news on Fox's cameras
I'm standing for basic living standards
I still get harassed at my shows
Though I got my land in
We planned this
Rollin' by in paddy wagons
The black night is shinnin' o'er
But came to slay the devil's dragons
We locked in dungeons
Where smells are pungent
With the odors and orders
From borders misfortunate predicament
So I'm using every single instrument
As I'm a also let you know
This shit's ridiculous
In Minnesota, we less than 10% the population
But guess how many of us locked in cages
I'm waitin' over 70%, let me vent
Taxed and dollars spent, got me bent
American's I'll be your pimp in present tense
And look, we can go and fight these wars in other countries
But what happens when the terror is amongst me?
Officer don't touch me
I know my rights
Respect me, I'll respect you
But you shoot me and what the papers say?
What I didn't do is pitiful
It's a classic case of class and race
And I came to agitate the magistrate and the candidates
Just tryna get in office
The thing you need to do is get 'em off us
'Cause everybody bleeds and sees a coffin
It just seems morbid
Now that Bush controls the forces
But even when Bush wasn't
They would still push on the button
And even when Bush isn't
They will still be in your business
Held under the water by the throat
A tide of crimson
Increase the troops upon the battlefield
Who made decisions?
The Da Vinci code
Cold world war
Sinners new religion
[Chorus: x4]
We are in a state of emergency
(That's the kind of situation we're facing.
Inboxes with out patients. World without medication [?]
Until we vacate the nation.)
State of emergency, state of emergency.
Hold me 'cause this life is a dream
The worst nightmare there has ever been
Well the weather is appalling and my spirit guide is
calling
And the bathroom is in need of a clean
Hold me will I ever be free
From this crippling anxiety
As I wait for it to finish it will slowly just diminish
'Til it's good enough to leave me be
Hold me never let me go
There's a thousand things I want you to know
Hold me when confusion reigns
As it soaks me to the bone again
These feelings I'm feeling are here for one reason
What reason
Our reasons are the same
Hold me 'cause this life is a dream
The most beautiful emotive scene
And I couldn't help but laugh when you took the other
half
Because you're punishing your self-esteem
Hold me 'cause I'm asking you to
And its not something I would normally do
If you need another reason it's cause summer is the
season
That I make my annual pass at you
Hold me never let me go
There's a thousand things I want you to know
Hold me when confusion reigns
As it soaks me to the bone again
These feelings I'm feeling are here for one reason
What reason
Say something stupid ‘cause I love to hear you laugh
Keep it low no one must no it that you’re all right
you’re in between
If nobody wants to I don’t know if I do it’s not like I
have to have the blame
It doesn’t make sense when I stand to attention at the
very mention of a name
Say what you’re thinking You can tell me I’m on my way
There’s a word for your face light it escapes me for
always now
If nobody wants to I don’t know if I do it’s not like I
have to have the blame
It doesn’t make sense when I stand to attention at the
very mention of a name
Will you not change I cannot say
No regrets
No bitter sweet reflections to inject
No pain that wouldn't slowly fade away
So here I lay today beside you in a daze
No deep thought
No final words of wisdom for your ear
No woe that would not dry up with the fear
And when the cracks appear I'll fill you in
I WISH IT COULD REMAIN THIS WAY
COME TO ME WITHOUT DELAY
LEAVE THEM LOVE ME LAY UPON ME
LOSE YOUR LONELY WAYS FOR A FINE FEW DAYS
Our love will not die
No big sweat
I felt that it was deep within me yet
I cradled just a tiny flame of hope
It's easy now you know
You know it all
No depends
I need you to forget your feeble friends
We're stronger than most every one of them
So watch them as they bend and break too soon
Once there was a girl who knew me well
And I think she fell for my darker side but I can't
decide
Do I feel the same way
So I let her sweat which is nothing new
While I thought it through for a day or two it was the
right thing to do
Or don't you think so
LOVE COME FOLLOW ME AROUND
I DON'T WANT TO KNOW YOU NOW
BUT THAT MAY NOT LAST FOREVER
How my sorrow grows with every passing day
'cause to be alone is the curse I've known and the
price I pay
Every single day now
So my thoughts return to a girl I knew
Who I was sure would wait for her fickle fate but she
could not wait
To prove me wrong
Well I'm too clever for her anyway
How can I get us together
'cause I'm so desperate and I need her today
I should have never let her get away
It's never or now so
It isn't easy being a girl like me
One who's still a boy on the outside see
It's hard enough to fit into my girlfriends clothes
When I'll get my own only heaven knows
It isn't easy being a girl like this
Society would laugh when I take a piss
But I laugh too 'cause it's pretty lame
Yeh I laugh hard 'cause I'm not ashamed
Even when I cry myself to sleep each night
Weary of the pain of my selfish plight
I can see the end of all my shame in sight
With the virgin hope of the pure dawn light
I WANT THIS
Pure white trash and this inhuman race
Wouldn't understand and that is no disgrace
'Cause sometimes I struggle for the reasons too
But I know this is something I just have to do
And nothing makes me smile like a brand new dress
It kind of makes me sick when my hair is a mess
I wish I had a half of your poise and grace
As I look into the mirror at this ugly face
But I don't want to lose you when I get this way
It really is important that you want me to stay
I don't want to lose you will you take my hand
It really is important that you understand
I WANT THIS CHANGE
