This thing is not the Sun, at the time this happened the sky was already dark and the Sun had already set. At the very beginning of the video you can see a big burst of light that illuminated the whole beach. That did happen and I felt it on real time. Then later in the video you can see the light dim out like a light bulb and around it the sky turns red. The Sun was already gone.

We need to get more people aware of whats right above our heads.

TUESDAY, JUNE 27, 2017 - At approximately 8:00 PM (EST), the SIM (Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal), SPVM (Service de police de la Ville de Montréal), Urgences-Santé and STM (Montréal Transit Corporation) Fire Prevention responded to reports of a fire with visible smoke emanating from the inside of an abandoned apartment hotel building located at 400 René-Lévesque Boul. in the Downtown district of Montréal, QC. Firefighters quickly escalated the call after determining that the fire was a 10-12 (2nd alarm fire) and scores of units, including dozens of firefighters, began responding to the scene. Various rarely-seen apparatus, such as the the SIM's Command Post 1005, Shelter Bus 1473, Air Supply Unit 1605, Fire Investigation Unit 911 as well as the Police Department's Motorcycle Division can be seen arriving on the scene as the situation progresses. After about an hour after firefighters made entry to the building, the fire seemed to have been put out. No further information is known about the origin of the fire.
The abandoned building seems to be owned by the Montréal-based clothing company Point Zero, who announced in early 2015 that they were planning to renovate the place into a luxury boutique hotel in partnership with American boutique brand Sixty Hotels by late 2016. So far, it seems like the venture was a failure, given that by the time this video was filmed, the dilapidated building still had the previous "undistinguished" 3-star hotel's name over its facade: "La Tour Centre-Ville". HYDE PARK - A man and a woman died this morning in a fire at a two-story home in the Hyde Park area of Los Angeles, authorities said.
The greater alarm blaze inside the 3600-square-foot home at 4245 W. 62nd St. was reported at 1:40 a.m., the fire department's Shawn Lenske said. It's greater alarm status was triggered by more than 75 firefighters being dispatched to fight the fire.
A woman believed to be about 80 years old and a man believed to be about 50 died in the fire, Lenske said.
According to emergency transmissions from the scene, the deceased man may have gone back into the burning house to rescue the woman who may have been his mother.
The department dispatched 78 firefighters to the scene. They needed 49 minutes to knock down the flames, Lenske said.
Arson investigators have been called to the scene.
``It's standard procedure to have arson investigators sent to the scene whenever there is a fatality,'' Lenske said.

Major
Major is a military rank of commissioned officer, with corresponding ranks existing in many military forces. When used unhyphenated, in conjunction with no other indicators, the rank is just senior to that of an army captain and right below the rank of lieutenant colonel. It is considered the most junior of the field officer ranks.
Majors are typically assigned as specialized executive or operations officers for battalion-sized units of 300 to 1,200 soldiers. In some militaries, notably France and Ireland, the rank of major is referred to as commandant, while in others it is known as captain-major. It is also used in some police forces and other paramilitary rank structures, such as the New York State Police, New Jersey State Police and several others. As a police rank, Major roughly corresponds to the UK rank of Superintendent.

This thing is not the Sun, at the time this happened the sky was already dark and the Sun had already set. At the very beginning of the video you can see a big burst of light that illuminated the whole beach. That did happen and I felt it on real time. Then later in the video you can see the light dim out like a light bulb and around it the sky turns red. The Sun was already gone.

We need to get more people aware of whats right above our heads.
You see people walking at the beach clueless of whats right above them.

TUESDAY, JUNE 27, 2017 - At approximately 8:00 PM (EST), the SIM (Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal), SPVM (Service de police de la Ville de Montréal), Urgences-Santé and STM (Montréal Transit Corporation) Fire Prevention responded to reports of a fire with visible smoke emanating from the inside of an abandoned apartment hotel building located at 400 René-Lévesque Boul. in the Downtown district of Montréal, QC. Firefighters quickly escalated the call after determining that the fire was a 10-12 (2nd alarm fire) and scores of units, including dozens of firefighters, began responding to the scene. Various rarely-seen apparatus, such as the the SIM's Command Post 1005, Shelter Bus 1473, Air Supply Unit 1605, Fire Investigation Unit 911 as well as the Police Department's Motorcycle Division can be seen arriving on the scene as the situation progresses. After about an hour after firefighters made entry to the building, the fire seemed to have been put out. No further information is known about the origin of the fire.
The abandoned building seems to be owned by the Montréal-based clothing company Point Zero, who announced in early 2015 that they were planning to renovate the place into a luxury boutique hotel in partnership with American boutique brand Sixty Hotels by late 2016. So far, it seems like the venture was a failure, given that by the time this video was filmed, the dilapidated building still had the previous "undistinguished" 3-star hotel's name over its facade: "La Tour Centre-Ville". HYDE PARK - A man and a woman died this morning in a fire at a two-story home in the Hyde Park area of Los Angeles, authorities said.
The greater alarm blaze inside the 3600-square-foot home at 4245 W. 62nd St. was reported at 1:40 a.m., the fire department's Shawn Lenske said. It's greater alarm status was triggered by more than 75 firefighters being dispatched to fight the fire.
A woman believed to be about 80 years old and a man believed to be about 50 died in the fire, Lenske said.
According to emergency transmissions from the scene, the deceased man may have gone back into the burning house to rescue the woman who may have been his mother.
The department dispatched 78 firefighters to the scene. They needed 49 minutes to knock down the flames, Lenske said.
Arson investigators have been called to the scene.
``It's standard procedure to have arson investigators sent to the scene whenever there is a fatality,'' Lenske said.

This thing is not the Sun, at the time this happened the sky was already dark and the Sun had already set. At the very beginning of the video you can see a big burst of light that illuminated the whole beach. That did happen and I felt it on real time. Then later in the video you can see the light dim out like a light bulb and around it the sky turns red. The Sun was already gone.

TUESDAY, JUNE 27, 2017 - At approximately 8:00 PM (EST), the SIM (Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal), SPVM (Service de police de la Ville de Montréal), Urgences-Santé and STM (Montréal Transit Corporation) Fire Prevention responded to reports of a fire with visible smoke emanating from the inside of an abandoned apartment hotel building located at 400 René-Lévesque Boul. in the Downtown district of Montréal, QC. Firefighters quickly escalated the call after determining that the fire was a 10-12 (2nd alarm fire) and scores of units, including dozens of firefighters, began responding to the scene. Various rarely-seen apparatus, such as the the SIM's Command Post 1005, Shelter Bus 1473, Air Supply Unit 1605, Fire Investigation Unit 911 as well as the Police Department's Motorcycle Division can be seen arriving on the scene as the situation progresses. After about an hour after firefighters made entry to the building, the fire seemed to have been put out. No further information is known about the origin of the fire.
The abandoned building seems to be owned by the Montréal-based clothing company Point Zero, who announced in early 2015 that they were planning to renovate the place into a luxury boutique hotel in partnership with American boutique brand Sixty Hotels by late 2016. So far, it seems like the venture was a failure, given that by the time this video was filmed, the dilapidated building still had the previous "undistinguished" 3-star hotel's name over its facade: "La Tour Centre-Ville". HYDE PARK - A man and a woman died this morning in a fire at a two-story home in the Hyde Park area of Los Angeles, authorities said.
The greater alarm blaze inside the 3600-square-foot home at 4245 W. 62nd St. was reported at 1:40 a.m., the fire department's Shawn Lenske said. It's greater alarm status was triggered by more than 75 firefighters being dispatched to fight the fire.
A woman believed to be about 80 years old and a man believed to be about 50 died in the fire, Lenske said.
According to emergency transmissions from the scene, the deceased man may have gone back into the burning house to rescue the woman who may have been his mother.
The department dispatched 78 firefighters to the scene. They needed 49 minutes to knock down the flames, Lenske said.
Arson investigators have been called to the scene.
``It's standard procedure to have arson investigators sent to the scene whenever there is a fatality,'' Lenske said.

I actually had quite many business meetings in New York City, but hurricane Sandy messed that up - in some way good for me, so I had tons of emergency vehicles to film :) Here's a 2.5 hours long compilation of emergency responses the days before, during and the days after hurricane Sandy. No matter whether FDNY, NYPD, PAPD, MTA Police, NGUS, USACE, USCG or whatsoever, here you see pretty much anything. Even emergency vehicles from other cities and states (like e.g. Superior from the Chicagoland area) were present with several vehicles. Of course not every single emergency responses is a consequence of the hurricane (like e.g. Medical call at Macy's with the Ambulance and Engine 1), but I didn't sort them out since it's hard to determine whether it is or isn't linked to Sandy in many cases...

WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 3, 2016 - At approximately 4:00 PM, emergency services received a call that a sinkhole had opened up in a tunnel near the Gare d'autocars de Montréal (Montreal Coach Terminal) adjacent to Métro Berri-Uqam in the Quartier Latin area of Montréal. The SIM (Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal), SPVM (Service de police de la Ville de Montréal), U-S (Urgences-Santé), STM (Société de transport de Montréal) Sûreté et Contrôle and Prévention Incendie responded quickly and evacuated the area's buildings and streets, shutting down Berri Street between Ontario Street and de Maisonneuve Boulevard. After inspection, it was determined that the sinkhole posed no further immediate threats and engineers deemed the structure safe.
Many rarely-seen units can be seen in this video, including several SIM Divisional Chiefs, the SIM Disaster Relief bus, several SIM Technical Rescue Group trucks, as well as SPVM unmarked / stealth vehicles and units from the Sécurité Routière division.

TUESDAY, JUNE 27, 2017 - At approximately 8:00 PM (EST), the SIM (Service de sécurité incendie de Montréal), SPVM (Service de police de la Ville de Montréal), Urgences-Santé and STM (Montréal Transit Corporation) Fire Prevention responded to reports of a fire with visible smoke emanating from the inside of an abandoned apartment hotel building located at 400 René-Lévesque Boul. in the Downtown district of Montréal, QC. Firefighters quickly escalated the call after determining that the fire was a 10-12 (2nd alarm fire) and scores of units, including dozens of firefighters, began responding to the scene. Various rarely-seen apparatus, such as the the SIM's Command Post 1005, Shelter Bus 1473, Air Supply Unit 1605, Fire Investigation Unit 911 as well as the Police Department's Motorcycle Division can be seen arriving on the scene as the situation progresses. After about an hour after firefighters made entry to the building, the fire seemed to have been put out. No further information is known about the origin of the fire.
The abandoned building seems to be owned by the Montréal-based clothing company Point Zero, who announced in early 2015 that they were planning to renovate the place into a luxury boutique hotel in partnership with American boutique brand Sixty Hotels by late 2016. So far, it seems like the venture was a failure, given that by the time this video was filmed, the dilapidated building still had the previous "undistinguished" 3-star hotel's name over its facade: "La Tour Centre-Ville". After a 45-year-old cyclist with a head injury is rushed in by helicopter, the patient's memory loss provides the team with a vital clue to his condition.

1520 - MD - Phone Alarm - 7th St. and 1st Ave. - Report of an explosion with a partial building collapse.
1522 - E-33 - "Urgent" - 10-75 - We have a major building collapse on 2nd Ave. at St. Marks Place.
1523 - Bn. 6 - "Urgent" - Transmit the 10-60 on this box.

1526 - Div. 1 - "Urgent" - Transmit the 3rd Alarm. Staging at 2nd Ave. between 8th and 9th St. Command post at 7 St and 2 Ave.
1529 - Div. 1 - Send 2 additional chiefs (B-32, B-35).
1534 - Car 6 - I am 10-84 - Be advised, we have heavy fire here. I will get back to you with a size up.
1537 - Car 6 - We have a Mayday transmitted. We are conducting a roll call. Advise all incoming units not to enter the building. We are pulling members from the building and roof tops.
1540 - Car 6 - We have a complete collapse of the 1st and 2nd floors at 121 2nd Ave. - this is a 5 story building that is fully involved. Exposure 2 is a similar attached 5 story, exposure 3 is unknown, exposure 4 is a similar attached that is also fully involved. We are conducting a Mayday roll call at this time.
1541 - Div. 1 - Transmit the 10-66 - We have 2 missing members and multiple maydays.
1543 - TL-9 Officer - Transmitting a Mayday.
1550 - Div. 1 - Roll call has been conducted. All members are accounted for.
1551 - Div. 1 - Transmit the 5th Alarm. 2 building fully involved.
1554 - FC - Transmit the 7th Alarm. Have all 6th and 7th Alarm units respond to the staging area on 2nd Ave. and report to Car 6.
1603 – FC - We have two 5 story tenements fully involved. There has just been a major collapse of exposure 4. We have the first 3 floors of exposure 4A on fire. Fire on the 1st and 2nd floors of exposure 2. 4 Tower Ladders operating and numerous hand lines. DWH - Duration 45 minutes.
1605 – FC - We have (1) 10-45 code 2. Please assign the Mobile Command Center.
1607 – FC – We have (2) additional 10-45 code 2’s. (1) 10-45 code 3, (1) 10-45 code 4.
1627 – Bn. 1 – Have TL-18 come up 2nd Ave. We have a path cleared for them. (E-3 s/c to the scene at this time.)
1633 – FC – Per EMS – 12 10-45’s. 4-code 2, 1-code 3, 7-code 4.
1640 - FC - Send us 2 additional Battalion Chiefs (Bn. 10, Bn. 49 act. Bn. 31).
1654 - FC - Primaries are complete and negative in exposure 4A. 5 TL and 2 Deck Guns in operation. DWH
1727 - FC - The collapse zone has been extended on 2nd Ave. between 7th and 8th St. Units are searching the East side of 2nd Avenue. Still operating with 5 tower ladders and 2 deck guns. Duration 2 hours 10 minutes.
1831 - FC - We are evacuating buildings on the East side of 2nd Ave. Continuing to operate with 5 Tower Ladders and 2 multiversals. PWH - For relief purposes, requesting 5 TL (2 being 95 ft), 5 Engines, 4 Battalions, 1 Division and 1 RM FAST Truck. Duration 3 hours 14 minutes.

I actually had quite many business meetings in New York City, but hurricane Sandy messed that up - in some way good for me, so I had tons of emergency vehicles ...
I actually had quite many business meetings in New York City, but hurricane Sandy messed that up - in some way good for me, so I had tons of emergency vehicles to film :)
Here's a 2.5 hours long compilation of emergency responses the days before, during and the days after hurricane Sandy. No matter whether FDNY, NYPD, PAPD, MTA Police, NGUS, USACE, USCG or whatsoever, here you see pretty much anything. Even emergency vehicles from other cities and states (like e.g. Superior from the Chicagoland area) were present with several vehicles.
Of course not every single emergency responses is a consequence of the hurricane (like e.g. Medical call at Macy's with the Ambulance and Engine 1), but I didn't sort them out since it's hard to determine whether it is or isn't linked to Sandy in many cases.
It will propably be the last video in 2012, enjoy it :)
Zweieinhalb Stunden Einsatzfahrten ... das muss man sich erst nochmal kurz durch den Kopf gehen lassen ... ja doch das ist verdammt viel.
Eigentlich hatte ich ja dutzende Geschäftstermine in New York City, als dann eine stürmische Dame namens Sandy die Pläne im Wasser untergehen lies - naja ich hatte dadurch eben viel zeit und viel Input zum Filmen. Neben den 0-8-15 Organisationen wie FDNY, NYPD usw, waren auch viele dabei, welche sonst kaum oder nie in new York zu sehen sind: so z.B. Superior, die aus der Gegend von Chicago zur Unterstützung kamen, oder das ITDRC aus Forth Worth (Texas), auch die USACE waren mit insgesamt 15 (!!) ELW3 in der Gegend unterwegs. Selbst fahrzeuge die noch keiner der New Yorker Einsatzfahrtenfilmer gefilmt oder auch nur gesehen haben, sind mit dabei. Kurzum: es gibt kaum etwas das ich in NYC nicht erwischt habe, und das obwohl ich (zum Glück) nicht direkt in einem der Katastrophengebiete untergebracht war (wie etwas Downtown Manhattan, Queens oder drüben in Newark).
2,5 Stunden - länger als viele Kinofilme, da habt ihr bischen was zum dran Nagen über Weihnachten, wird voraussichtlich das letzte Video in diesem Jahr sein - viel Spaß beim anschauen :)
