Allavuddin Adbhuta Deepam

Allauddin Adhbhuta Deepam (Telugu: అల్లావుద్దీన్ అద్భుత దీపం) is a 1957 Telugu Drama film directed by T. R. Raghunath and produced by T. S. Balaiah.

It is based on the story of Aladdin and his Magic lamp.

It is simultaneous produced in Tamil language entitled Allavudeenum Arputha Vilakkum (Tamil: அலாவுதீனும் அற்புத விலக்கும்) and Hindi as Alladdin Ka Chirag.

The Plot

The story is about Alladin and the Magic lamp. Jaffer, the magician comes to know about the Magic lamp from his friend. Alladin is the only person capable of getting the lamp. Jaffer gets Alladin under his care by masquerading as his uncle. He takes Alladin to the cave. After procuring the Lamb, he comes to know about the attitude of Jaffer. He escapes with the help of the Ring and reaches his mother. He throws the Magic lamp into the backyard thinking that it is the main culprit.

Alladin grown up as a vagabond and without work. He faces lot many problems and comes to know about the powers of Magic lamp. He recovers the Lamp and finally marries the Princess.

Anjali Devi

Anjali Devi ( pronunciation ; 24 August 1927 – 13 January 2014) was an Indian actress, former model and producer in Telugu and Tamil. She was well known for her role as the mythological Sita in Lava Kusha as well as for the titular roles in movies like Suvarna Sundari and Anarkali.

Early life

Anjali Devi was born in Peddapuram, East Godavari district in Andhra Pradesh, India, as Anjamma. She changed her name to Anjani Kumari when acting in dramas. Later, director C. Pullaiah changed her name to Anjali Devi.

Career

As actress

She was a theatre artiste before venturing into movies. Her debut film role was as Lohitasya in Raja Harishchandra in 1936. Her first movie as a heroine was Kashtajeevi by L. V. Prasad in 1940, but that movie was abandoned after three reels shooting. Later, C.Pullayya discovered her and gave her the opportunity to star as Mohini in Gollabhama. Based on her acting ability and looks, she became a star overnight in 1947. She eventually acted in more than 350 Telugu films and a few Tamil and Kannada films as the heroine.

Kamal Haasan

Kamal Haasan (born 7 November 1954) is an Indian film actor, screenwriter, director, producer, playback singer, choreographer, lyricist, philanthropist and dancer who works primarily in the Tamil film industry. Haasan has won several Indian film awards including four National Film Awards and 19 Filmfare Awards. With seven submissions, Kamal Haasan has starred in the highest number of films submitted by India for the Academy Award Best Foreign Language Film. Haasan's production company, Rajkamal International, has produced several of his films. Rajinikanth

Rajinikanth (born Shivaji Rao Gaekwad 12 December 1950) is an Indian film actor, media personality, and cultural icon who works primarily in the Tamil film industry. He has also acted in Bollywood, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hollywood and Bengali films as well.

He began acting in plays while working in the Bangalore Transport Service as a bus conductor. In 1973, he joined the Madras Film Institute to pursue a diploma in acting. Following his debut in K. Balachander's Tamil drama Apoorva Raagangal (1975), his acting career commenced with a brief phase of portraying antagonistic characters in Tamil films. After establishing himself as a lead actor in a number of commercially successful films, he began to be referred to as a "superstar" and has since continued to hold a matinée idol status in the popular culture of Tamil Nadu. His mannerisms and stylised delivery of dialogue in films contribute to his mass popularity and appeal.

After earning ₹26 crore (equivalent to ₹43 crore or US$6.3 million in 2016) for his role in Sivaji (2007), he was the highest paid actor in Asia after Jackie Chan at the time. While working in other regional film industries of India, Rajinikanth has also appeared in the cinemas of other nations, including that of the United States. As of 2014, Rajinikanth has won six Tamil Nadu State Film Awards—four Best Actor Awards and two Special Awards for Best Actor—and a Filmfare Best Tamil Actor Award. In addition to acting, he has also worked as a producer and screenwriter. Apart from his film career, he is also a philanthropist, spiritualist, and serves as an influence in Dravidian politics.
