I Love Holiday Music - here's my addition to the tradition:
Rudolph the Shred Nosed Reindeer is a song I arranged and recorded many many years ago even before Vai and Satriani started doing the Merry Axemas CD's. It includes my version of Rudolph, Up on the rooftop and Santa Claus is coming to town. I've always loved holiday music and it's fun putting those tunes to rocking grooves.
I played and recorded all the instruments myself on this song, as is clear by the sound of the early days of drum machine technology(asr10). Still I think this medley stands the test of time.
I hope you enjoyed it - Happy Holidays, no matter what your beliefs may be!

Christmas and holiday season
The Christmas season, or festive season, (also called the holiday season or simply the holidays, mainly in the U.S. and Canada), is an annually recurring period recognized in many Western and Western-influenced countries that is generally considered to run from late November to early January, defined as incorporating at least Christmas, and usually New Year, and sometimes various other holidays and festivals. It incorporates a period of shopping which comprises a peak season for the retail sector (the "Christmas (or holiday) shopping season"), and a period of sales at the end of the season (the "January sales"). Christmas window displays and Christmas tree lighting ceremonies when trees decorated with ornaments and light bulbs are illuminated, are traditions in many areas.
Originally within the Roman Catholic Church, the term "Christmas season" was considered synonymous with Christmastide, a term associated with Yuletide, which runs from December 25 (Christmas Day) to January 6 (Epiphany), popularly known as the 12 Days of Christmas. However, as the economic impact involving the anticipatory lead-up to Christmas Day grew in America and Europe into the 19th and 20th centuries, the term "Christmas season" began to become synonymous instead with the traditional Christian Advent season, the period observed in Western Christianity from the fourth Sunday before Christmas Day until Christmas Day itself. The term "Advent calendar" survives in secular Western parlance as a term referring to a countdown to Christmas Day from the beginning of December.

Yule log
The Yule log, Yule clog, or Christmas block is a specially selected log burnt on a hearth as a Christmas tradition in a number of countries in Europe. The origin of the folk custom is unclear. Numerous scholars have observed that, like other traditions associated with Yule (such as the Yule boar), the custom may ultimately derive from Germanic paganism.
Origins
According to the Encyclopedia of English Folklore, the first "clear" references to the tradition appear in the 17th century, and thus it is unclear where or when the custom extends.
However, it has long been observed that the custom may have much earlier origins, possibly extending from or echoing customs observed in Germanic paganism. As early as 1725, Henry Bourne sought an origin for the Yule log in Anglo-Saxon paganism:
More recently, G. R. Willey (1983) says:
The events of Yule are generally held to have centred on Midwinter (although specific dating is a matter of debate), and feasting, drinking, and sacrifice (blót) were involved. Scholar Rudolf Simek comments that the pagan Yule feast "had a pronounced religious character" and comments that "it is uncertain whether the Germanic Yule feast still had a function in the cult of the dead and in the veneration of the ancestors, a function which the mid-winter sacrifice certainly held for the West European Stone and Bronze Ages." The traditions of the Yule log, Yule goat, Yule boar (Sonargöltr) still reflected in the Christmas ham, Yule singing, and others stem from Yule customs, and customs which Simek takes as "indicat[ing] the significance of the feast in pre-Christian times."

I Love Holiday Music - here's my addition to the tradition: Rudolph the Shred Nosed Reindeer is a song I arranged and recorded many many years ago even before Vai and Satriani started doing the Merry Axemas CD's. It includes my version of Rudolph, Up on the rooftop and Santa Claus is coming to town. I've always loved holiday music and it's fun putting those tunes to rocking grooves. I played and recorded all the instruments myself on this song, as is clear by the sound of the early days of drum machine technology(asr10). Still I think this medley stands the test of time. Pepito Manaloto, Ang Tunay na Kuwento is different from the previous season. It is a stand-alone show that follows the ordinary life of an ordinary person who was blessed with extraordinary luck. The Manalotos' rags-to-riches experience earned them a TV show, but because they thought it didn’t reveal the true story, they had the TV network responsible scrap it. Instead, they came up with the idea to show exactly what goes on in the Manaloto household by having a camera crew film their lives 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The merry mix of characters of Pepito and his wife Elsa, their children Chito and Clarissa, their house help Patrick, Maria, Robert, Baby and their neighbors Tommy, plus the mother-daughter tandem of Deedee and Mimi, will bring more color to the life story of Pepito Manaloto. These different characters surrounding Pepito will definitely make his life a lot more interesting. Follow the ordinary yet real life story of Pepito Manaloto as it premieres on September 16 and will air right after Imbestigador on GMA Sunday Grande.

Once again You have made my day! I could cry....thanks so much for taking the effort to re-post this. You know...I guess we all take for granted sometimes how a simple gesture can make another persons day, week, month :) or year. Time after time I have watched this & will continue to do so. It represented a much simpler time and more decent America, both politically and entertainment wise, and I guess that is why I keep watching it. Once again my heartfelt thanks for uploading.
