Mark Alan Webber (born 27 August 1976) is an Australian professional racing driver, currently competing in the FIA World Endurance Championship as a Porsche works driver in LMP1 in which he is one of the 3 reigning World Drivers' Champions.
After some racing success in Australia driving Formula Ford and Formula Holden, Webber moved to the United Kingdom in 1995 to further his motorsport career. Webber began a partnership with fellow Australian Paul Stoddart, at that time owner of the European Racing Formula 3000 team, which eventually took them both into Formula One when Stoddart bought the Minardi team. He also beat future F1 World Champion Fernando Alonso in the 2000 International Formula 3000 season. However, Alonso was only 19 years old and in his second post-karting season whereas Webber was 24 and in his seventh.

Mark Webber, the man who isn't scared to say what he really thinks, a great and popular guy around paddock and especially a brilliant driver. The "Aussie Grit" was a part of Formula 1 for long twelve season, from 2002 up to 2013, he almost won a championship back in 2010 and his friendship with Fernando Alonso and rivalry with Sebastian Vettel will be always remembered by many fans as well as some his great overtaking manouvers. And in Australia - he will be remembered as a hero, despite he never won a championship. Thank you Mark for being in Formula 1, it was a pleasure to have you in this sport since the amazing debut in 2002 with Minardi. What a race, unforgettable one! Hamilton who edged out Red Bull's Sebastian Vettel by just over one tenth of a second at the Nürburgring, has a glorious chance of claiming his first win for the German manufacturer while also doing his bit for the German and Irish sporting effort this weekend. No one in their right mind would argue that victory for the 28-year-old would rank alongside the heroics of the Lions in Sydney, or come anywhere close to eclipsing a first German men's winner at Wimbledon for 76 years, but it would be a significant moment. As the 2008 world champion admitted last week, he had no expectation when he quit McLaren last winter of finding himself in championship contention in his first season at Brackley. Yet that is undoubtedly where he finds himself now. Mercedes have taken six poles in seven races, w...
