Colombian Special Forces Helmet Cam Jungle Combat Footage From Capture Of Wanted Narco Gang Leader.
Colombian Jungle Commandos released footage of them capturing the wanted Úsuga Narco leader Édgar Gutierrez Arenas, also known as “Thomas” during a jungle raid after a intense firefight with his followers.
With this the elite Colombian jungle special force commandos captured one of the the top 20 most wanted men in Colombia.
The raid and firefight took place in Chocó, Colombia.
Édgar Gutierrez Arenas had a 115 million pesos ($40,000 USD) reward on his head.
The Colombian jungle is a place were clashes and firefights between Colombian Special Forces and Narco terrorists often take place and such jungle raids held out by Colombian jungle
commandos assaulting Narco gangs are common.

US Soldiers from the 7th Special Forces Group with Chilean Navy Special Forces training to close quarters combat.

The fighting in enclosed spaces, better known by as close quarters combat (CQC) and close quarters battle (CQB) is a type of combat in which small units face the enemy with personal weapons at very short distance, possibly to the point of reaching the combat or fight with hand weapons like swords or knives . CQC in the typical scenario, attackers attempt violent and very fast assault of a vehicle or structure controlled by the defenders, who usually do not have an easy way to withdraw. Because enemies, hostages / civilians, and co-operation themselves can be closely intertwined, the CQC assault requires rapid and precise application of lethal force. Agents need to have great skill with weapons, but also the ability to make split-second decisions to avoid or limit friendly casualties. The CQC is defined as a conflict of short duration and high intensity, characterized by the sudden violence at close range.

Special forces, or special operations forces are terms used to describe highy-trained military units trained to perform unconventional, often high-risk missions.
Special forces, as they would now be recognised, emerged in the early 20th century, with a significant growth in the field during the Second World War.
Special forces capabilities include the following:
Special forces have played an important role throughout the history of warfare whenever the aim has been to achieve disruption by "hit and run" and sabotage, rather than more traditional conventional army combat. Other significant roles lay in reconnaissance, providing essential intelligence from close to or among the enemy, and increasingly in combating terrorists, their infrastructure and activities.
Chinese strategist Jiang Ziya, in his Six Secret Teachings, describes recruiting talented and highly-motivated men for serving in specialized elite units with such functions as commanding heights and making rapid long-distance advances.Hamilcar Barca in Sicily (249 BC) had specialized troops trained to launch several offensives per day. In the late Roman or early Byzantine period, Roman fleets used small, fast camouflaged ships crewed by selected men for scouting and commando missions. Similarly, Muslim forces also had several naval special operations units, including one which used camouflaged ships to gather intelligence and launch raids, and another which consisted of soldiers who could pass for Crusaders who would use ruses to board enemy ships and then capture and destroy them. While more commonly known as spies and assassins, Japanese ninja were sometimes used as assault troops or fortress guards, or otherwise fought alongside more conventional soldiers. During the Napoleonic wars, rifle and sapper units were formed who held more specialised roles in reconnaissance and skirmishing and were not committed to the formal battle lines.

MALAYSIA GGK Commando: The Grup Gerak Khas (English: Special Service Group) is a special forces regiment of the Malaysian Army which conducts special operations missions for the Malaysian government, such as direct action, unconventional warfare, sabotage, counter-terrorism, and intelligence gathering. It is the administrative and operational group to which the three regiments of the Rejimen Gerak Khas and its supporting units are subordinated.
While the GGK traces its origins to 1965 and the post Indonesia-Malaysia confrontation, they gained fame and recognition worldwide after successfully pacifying a communist insurgency in the jungles of Malaysia during the Communist Insurgency War.
21 Gerup Gerak Khas is commanded by a Brigadier General and is currently located at Iskandar Camp, in Mersing, Johor comprising 11 Gerak Khas Regiment tasked to counter-terrorism, 21 Commando Regiment and 22 Commando Regiment. The three regiments' tasks are guerrilla/anti-guerrilla warfare, escape and evasion, subversion, sabotage, counter terrorism, asymmetric warfare and their most highly regarded expertise – jungle warfare.[1]

Three wildlife rangers have been shot dead in the Democratic Republic of Congo's Garamba National Park. Poachers are being blamed. Two other rangers were wounded in the attack. One of the rangers was found dead in the park. American Special forces evacuated the other victims. Two later died of their injuries. Two others are being treated, including the park manager. Garamba is a UNESCO World Heritage Site - and has been described as the last stronghold for the DR Congo's elephant and giraffe population. -

The deployment of 250 Special Forces soldiers increases US forces in Syria roughly six-fold and is aimed at helping local militia fighters build on victories in which territory has been clawed back from Islamic State.
Defence experts said giving more fighters on the ground access to US close air support could shift momentum in the war.
But a senior member of the Saudi royal family who asked not to be identified dismissed the decision as "window dressing."
In announcing the deployment, Obama trumpeted the gains made on the ground against Islamic State.
"Given the success, I've approved the deployment of up to 250 additional US personnel in Syria, including Special Forces, to keep up this momentum," Obama said in a speech in the German city of Hanover on the last stop of a foreign tour that has taken him to Saudi Arabia and Britain.
"They're not going to be leading the fight on the ground, but they will be essential in providing the training and assisting local forces as they continue to drive ISIL back," he added, using an acronym for Islamic State, also known as ISIS or Daesh.
The US military has led an air campaign against Islamic State since 2014 in both Iraq and Syria, but its effectiveness in Syria has been limited by a lack of allies on the ground in a country where a complex, multi-sided civil war has raged for five years.
A Russian air campaign launched in Syria last year has been more effective because it is closely coordinated with the government of President Bashar al-Assad, who is Moscow's ally but a foe of the United States.
US efforts in Syria have come against the backdrop of rising tensions with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf Arab monarchies, which have privately criticised the Obama administration's security toward the region.
Washington's main allies on the ground have been a Kurdish force known as the YPG, which wrested control of much of the Turkish-Syrian border from Islamic State. However, the alliance has been constrained because US ally Turkey is deeply hostile to the YPG.
"Presumably these (extra US forces) are going to assist our Kurdish YPG friends to widen and deepen their offensive against IS in northeastern Syria," said Tim Ripley, defence analyst and writer for IHS Jane's Defence Weekly magazine.
The deployment will include medical and logistics support personnel, officials said, and US support for the American forces in Syria will be staged out of northern Iraq.
But Washington would still have to take a political decision to help the Kurds despite Turkish objections. Kurdish advances have largely stopped since February, with Turkey opposed to the Kurds taking more territory.

President Obama announced Monday that the United States would send an additional 250 Special Operations forces to Syria, a small but significant escalation in America’s ongoing campaign in the region.
The extent of what U.S. Special Operations forces are doing in Syria and neighboring Iraq is unclear. While some units are acting chiefly as advisers to local forces such as the Iraqi Army and Kurdish peshmerga, other teams — probably elements of Joint Special Operations Command — have conducted raids against the Islamic State, capturing and killing key leaders of the extremist group. Pentagon officials have been loath to comment on their deployments, citing operational security concerns.
Recent footage posted online over the weekend from news site France24, though, provides some insight.
The video, shot in February as the Syrian Democratic Forces battled for the eastern Syrian town of Shaddadi, shows a small contingent of U.S. forces acting as an observation element for what appears to be U.S. airstrikes carried out by A-10 ground attack aircraft.
Shaddadi, a border town that served as a conduit for Islamic State forces bound for Iraq, was seized relatively quickly by the Syrian Democratic Forces and Syrian Kurds. The Pentagon trumpeted the battle’s outcome, hailing the operation’s success and speed as a model for its campaign in Syria. The Syrian Democratic Forces — a coalition of Syrian opposition groups — and Syrian Kurds took most of Shaddadi in less than a week, supported by U.S. airstrikes and Special Operations forces on the ground.
The team in the video is likely a mixture of troops from various Special Operations units, which could include Air Force Tactical Air Command and Air Control Party Specialists, Army Green Berets, and members of the Army’s Delta Force.
While little takes place in the short video, much of the U.S. troops’ mission can be discerned from the type of equipment that they are carrying. Aside from their weapons, including Remington’s Modular Sniper Rifle, a M32 semiautomatic grenade launcher and what appears to be a hatchet, the Special Operations troops’ real firepower comes from a suite of inconspicuous devices that allow them to call in airstrikes.
