Datura is a genus of nine species of poisonous vespertine flowering plants belonging to the family Solanaceae. They are commonly known as daturas, but also known as devil's trumpets, not to be confused with angel's trumpets, its closely related genus Brugmansia. They are also sometimes called moonflowers, Jimsonweed, devil's weed, hell's bells, thorn-apple, and many more. One of several plant species to be so. Its precise and natural distribution is uncertain, owing to its extensive cultivation and naturalization throughout the temperate and tropical regions of the globe. Its distribution within the Americas and North Africa, however, is most likely restricted to the United States and Mexico in North America, and Tunisia in Africa, where the highest species diversity occurs.
All species of Datura are poisonous, especially their seeds and flowers.
Some South American plants formerly thought of as Datura are now treated as belonging to the distinct genus Brugmansia (Brugmansia differs from Datura in that it is woody, making shrubs or small trees, and it has pendulous flowers, rather than erect ones). Other related genera include Hyosyamus niger, Atropa belladonna, Mandragora officinarum, and many more.
"Dātura" or "Datura" is a song written and recorded by American singer Tori Amos. It is the ninth song of Amos's fifth record To Venus and Back, which was released in September 1999. It is included in the first disc of the double album subtitled "Orbiting" that contains eleven original studio recordings. The song lists the names of the plants found in Amos's garden and was created during the recording sessions of To Venus and Back. The song's title refers to datura, a plant known for its toxic and hallucinogenic properties. Amos has never performed the song live due to its complex structure and time signatures which makes it hard to reproduce with a live band. However, in 2011 Amos incorporated the "room in my heart" bridge when performing "Take to the Sky" during her concert in Brussels on October 29, 2011 Video on YouTube. She also performed the song in a similar fashion throughout the Unrepentant Geraldines Tour.
In interviews promoting "To Venus and Back" Amos has stated "Dātura" was created fully in a studio setting, almost as an elaboration of an improvisation. It was written and recorded at Martian Engineering, Amos's studio in Cornwall, England. The lyrics are derived from the plants that were found in Amos's garden. A list of the plant names was handed to Amos by her gardener. Apparently, most of the plants in her garden had died, except for datura, which Amos found striking since it is known as a hallucinogen. Amos was in the studio with drummer Matt Chamberlain when the song was created.
Datura is an Italian electronic band. It was created in 1991 by the musicians Ciro Pagano and Stefano Mazzavillani (ex-members of the Italian electro pop group "Gaznevada", one of the Italian pop groups of the decade of 1980) and the DJs Ricci (Riccardo Testoni) who is now deceased, and Cirillo (Carlo Andrea Raggi), who is one of Italy's most famous DJs and continues to work in Italy, Ibiza, Morocco, and England. The first single was "Nu Style", in the summer of 1991, followed by smash-hits as "Yerba Del Diablo", a cover of Visage's Fade to Grey and "Eternity". With "Angeli Domini", in 1995, DJ Ricci has left the group for other more techno independent projects. In 1997, their "Voo-Doo Believe?" reached number 17 on Hot Dance Club Songs. The name "Datura" is taken from a hallucinogenic plant used by the Yaqui tribe to see and talk with the gods in a "visionary trip".

WWFS (102.7 FM) is a New York City hot adult contemporary radio station owned and operated by CBS Radio. WWFS' studios are in the combined CBS Radio facility in the West Soho section of Manhattan, and its transmitter sits atop the Empire State Building.
WWFS is best remembered for its previous incarnation, rock music-formatted WNEW-FM. The station shared the WNEW call letters between 1958 and 1986 with former sister AM station WNEW (1130 kHz) and television station WNEW-TV (channel 5), with all being owned by Metromedia. After WNEW-TV was sold to the News Corporation in 1986 (and became WNYW), and the AM station was sold to Bloomberg L.P. in 1992 (and became WBBR), 102.7 FM retained the WNEW-FM callsign until it was changed in 2007. CBS Radio has since reused the WNEW call sign; the present-day WNEW-FM in the Washington, D.C., area is connected to this station only through their common ownership.
WWFS broadcasts in the HD Radio format.
The 102.7 FM frequency was first assigned in the mid-1940s as WNJR-FM from Newark, New Jersey. Intended to be a simulcasting sister to WNJR (1430 AM, now WNSW), the FM station never made it to the air despite being granted several extensions of its construction permit. WNJR gave up and turned in the FM license to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) in 1953.
Science, also widely referred to as Science Magazine, is the peer-reviewed academic journal of the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS) and one of the world's top academic journals. It was first published in 1880, is currently circulated weekly and has a print subscriber base of around 130,000. Because institutional subscriptions and online access serve a larger audience, its estimated readership is 570,400 people.
The major focus of the journal is publishing important original scientific research and research reviews, but Science also publishes science-related news, opinions on science policy and other matters of interest to scientists and others who are concerned with the wide implications of science and technology. Unlike most scientific journals, which focus on a specific field, Science and its rival Nature cover the full range of scientific disciplines. According to the Journal Citation Reports, Science's 2014 impact factor was 33.611.
Although it is the journal of the AAAS, membership in the AAAS is not required to publish in Science. Papers are accepted from authors around the world. Competition to publish in Science is very intense, as an article published in such a highly cited journal can lead to attention and career advancement for the authors. Fewer than 10% of articles submitted are accepted for publication.

Hey all, I'm testing to see how people like this kind of content. It definitely takes a lot longer than reading trip reports because of the amount of research and editing the video takes longer. So, let me know if you want to see more deep dives into certain substances. I have a plan for one right now, but it's hard to find a lot of info on it. Also, don't do Datura please. I had sources for the video, but I accidentally closed the tabs and I couldn't find them, so I'm sorry I can't put them on here. If a person takes too much Datura but not enough to overdose, the consumer may still experience something similar to a hangover as the drug metabolizes. Initial symptoms include hallucinations, dry mucous membranes, thirst, dilated pupils, blurred vision, and difficulty speaking and swallowing. Subsequent effects may include tachycardia and urinary retention. Rarely experienced, late symptoms may include hyperthermia, respiratory arrest, and episodes of seizure. Scopolamine is also found in the plant, which makes it a potent cholinergic-blocki hallucinogen that has been used to calm schizoid pati...
