Good Show Sir Comments: Another Chalker book? Does he send one in every week? I don’t care what the cover looks like. Get the new lad from the Unknown Artist Institute to throw something together. What’s his name? I keep forgetting.

Today I bring you a French Mega Post! Sent in by the wonderful Cedric *coughs* two years ago… So I am just posting them now. Maybe it has something to do with me currently visiting Paris with le wonderful Tag Wizard. So watch out, French bookshops! We’ll be looking for more!
Enjoy the post and to those in the UK that get a long weekend, I hope you enjoy it!

Cedric Comments: The blue bird with rainbow wings and of course bare breasts (the marketing dept. strikes again) is already wonderful but what takes this cover to a higher level is the man at the bottom left, staring at the bird with a WTF look on his face. Beautiful.

Cedric Comments: I can’t help but think the tiger and his friend the very stern bear keep bitching about their colleagues in the back, the hippo and his friend the fox (hyena? other strange mammal?).
Published 1983, available in English as “The Battle of Forever”
Cedric Comments: Fireworks! Giant face of a woman! Building with an antenna that goes straight into the aforementioned lady’s right nostril!
Published 1980, originally “Ein Komet fallt vom Himmel”
Tom Noir Comments: Nice try, teach, but I still don’t buy that math is, “like getting SUPER high!”

Jami Comments: It’s like Sarek Of Vulcan has somehow been crossed with a stereotypical hero in a western version of a Japanese movie. Meanwhile bubble headed bobbies are threatening him with roman candles.

Ok, how about this one. I’m just throwing it in there. Guy with sword, guy with gun, guy possibly naked with an american flag wrapped around him, and a guy in uniform. Now, to make sure no-one could think that this accompaniment could be anything but just good friends, make sure the sword guy has a platonic look as he ogles the blonde one.
*Hick* awwwww yeaaaahhh that’s some good boooze…. Cover? Ok. How about, dude…leaning over women, not checking out her chest…. this time… A-hahahaha! And some ghost! Yeaaaaa a ghost tossing top trump cards at them! Hahaha that would be so annoying it would be like… ow ow ow… wooo blah! weeeeeeeeeeeeeee *hick*
Think of your target audience, 15 year old boys and 39 year old single males still living with their parents. So that would be, a women with an unimaginable rack walks in space across….liquid alien gooey stuff….and then just throw in a red computer grid and some flying male/female symbols. Sorted! We’ve pretty much got a winner!
Thanks to Mairi!
