Few survived the debacle that was 1995's Cutthroat Island, least of all viewers expecting $95 million dollar entertainment and some semblance of a plot. The end result was that Mario Kassar and Andrew Vajna's Carolco went bust and pirates were considered scurvy-ridden shite-bags for a good eight years until Johnny Depp did a passable Keith Richards impression. Don't mention Showgirls either. Actually, a movie with showgirls and pirates might work.

(#73) Panasia Films (泛亞影業) was founded in 1972 by Andrew G. Vajna. It was acquired by Golden Harvest in 1976, since then being the foreign film distribution arm of the latter.
After selling Panasia, Vajna and Mario Kassar formed Carolco which, in less than four years, became one of the top three foreign sales organizations in motion pictures.
In 1982 Vajna and Kassar made their film production debut with "First Blood". Starring Sylvester Stallone, the film became a phenomenal success, grossing $120-million internationally. It also rocketed Carolco into the forefront of independent production companies.
Subsequently after Carolco, Vajna formed Cinergi and C2 Pictures, of the Terminator fame.

Mario is depicted as a short, pudgy, Italian plumber who lives in the Mushroom Kingdom. He repeatedly rescues Princess Peach from the turtle-like villain Bowser and stops his numerous plans to destroy him and take over the kingdom. Mario also has other enemies and rivals, including Donkey Kong and Wario. Since 1995, he has been voiced by Charles Martinet.
As Nintendo's mascot, Mario is said to be the most famous character in video game history.Mario games, as a whole, have sold more than 210 million units, making the Mario franchise the best-selling video game franchise of all time. Mario F. Kassar (Arabic: ماريو قصار; born October 10, 1951) is a film producer and industry executive whose projects are frequently in association with Andrew G. Vajna.
Kassar was born in Beirut, Lebanon. Working for Columbia Pictures and TriStar Pictures, he was executive producer of several movies starting with Victory in 1981. In 1976, together with Vajna, he founded Carolco Pictures where he was executive producer of many films, beginning with the Rambo series, and including many science fiction films such as Total Recall, Terminator 2: Judgment Day, Universal Soldier and Stargate. He has been nominated for 12 Academy Awards.

Arnold Alois Schwarzenegger (
/ˈʃwɔrtsənɛɡər/; German: [ˈaɐnɔlt ˈalɔʏs ˈʃvaɐtsənˌʔɛɡɐ]; born July 30, 1947) is an Austrian and American former professional bodybuilder, actor, businessman, investor, and politician. Schwarzenegger served as the 38th Governor of California from 2003 until 2011.
Schwarzenegger began to weight train at the age of 15 years old. He was awarded the title of Mr. Universe at age 20 and went on to win the Mr. Olympia contest seven times. Schwarzenegger has remained a prominent presence in the sport of bodybuilding and he has written several books and numerous articles on the sport. Schwarzenegger gained worldwide fame as a Hollywood action film icon. He was nicknamed the "Austrian Oak" and the "Styrian Oak" in his bodybuilding days, "Arnie" during his acting career and more recently the "Governator" (from "Governor" and "Terminator").
As a Republican, he was first elected on October 7, 2003, in a special recall election to replace then-Governor Gray Davis. Schwarzenegger was sworn in on November 17, 2003, to serve the remainder of Davis's term. Schwarzenegger was then re-elected on November 7, 2006, in California's 2006 gubernatorial election, to serve a full term as governor, defeating Democrat Phil Angelides, who was California State Treasurer at the time. Schwarzenegger was sworn in for his second term on January 5, 2007.

Few survived the debacle that was 1995's Cutthroat Island, least of all viewers expecting $95 million dollar entertainment and some semblance of a plot. Few survived the debacle that was 1995's Cutthroat Island, least of all viewers expecting $95 million dollar entertainment and some semblance of a plot. The end result was that Mario Kassar and Andrew Vajna's Carolco went bust and pirates were considered scurvy-ridden shite-bags for a good eight years until Johnny Depp did a passable Keith Richards impression. Don't mention Showgirls either. Actually, a movie with showgirls and pirates might work.

The film's visual effects saw breakthroughs in computer-generated imagery, including the first use of natural human motion for a computer-generated character and the first partially computer-generated main character.[5] Terminator 2 was a critical and commercial success and influenced popular culture, especially the use of visual effects in films.[6] It received many accolades, including four Academy Awards for Best Sound Editing, Best Sound Mixing, Best Makeup, and Best Visual Effects.[7] The highest-grossing film of 1991 and Schwarzenegger's career, Terminator 2 has since been ranked by several publications such as the American Film Institute as one of the greatest action films, science fiction films and sequels of all time.

We've already heard some change in his music with the new single "Fireball" and it will be interesting to see what else Mario is able to bring to the table. Make no mistake about it though, making a hit record will not be a massive struggle for him as he's been able to find commercial success on the charts since his very first single "Just A Friend" at the young age of 15.
