Red lemonade is a soft drink in Ireland. Lemonade in Ireland comes in three varieties – red, brown and white. All three are lemon-flavoured, but there is a marked difference in taste between the varieties.[citation needed] Red lemonade is one of the most popular mixers used with spirits in Ireland, particularly in whiskey. Major brands of red lemonade include: TK (formerly Taylor Keith), Country Spring, Finches and Nash's. Other brands include Maine, Yacht and C&C (Cantrell & Cochrane). C&C label this as "Witches Brew" in the weeks around Hallowe'en. Red lemonade is frequently[how often?] quoted[by whom?] in the top ten things that Irish expatriates miss about Ireland.[citation needed] There was an urban myth that European Union authorities had banned red lemonade but the truth was simply that they had banned a cancer-causing dye.
Ronald Jenkees is an American composer and musician, best known for his YouTube keyboard performances, coverage on G4's Attack of the Show!, and an appearance in Paste Magazine. His YouTube videos have been viewed (in total) over 50,000,000 times. Jenkees has thus far released two independent albums: the eponymous album Ronald Jenkees (2007), and Disorganized Fun (2009).
Jenkees grew up in Kentucky, where he first began playing music at the age of 4[citation needed]. He started when he received a toy keyboard as a Christmas gift[citation needed]. With it, he learned simple melodies and played with friends. While still at a young age, he received a Yamaha PSR-500. He attempted piano lessons in the seventh grade, but these were unsuccessful. Jenkees discovered how to sequence and layer music using his Yamaha keyboard, and began playing hip hop music. He joined a marching band in high school, and despite being unable to read sheet music, the band director let Jenkees create his own keyboard parts and "jam out" in state competitions. The band director encouraged Jenkees to learn to read music, but he continued to play by ear. He went on to attend Murray State University after high school.
William "Willie" Lee Perryman (October 19, 1911 – July 25, 1985), usually known professionally as Piano Red and later in life as Dr. Feelgood, was an American blues musician, the first to hit the pop music charts. He was a self-taught pianist who played in the barrelhouse blues style (a loud percussive type of blues piano suitable for noisy bars or taverns). His performing and recording careers emerged during the period of transition from completely segregated "race music", to "rhythm and blues", which was marketed to white audiences. Some music historians credit Perryman's 1950 recording "Rocking With Red" for the popularization of the term rock and roll in Atlanta. His simple, hard-pounding left hand and his percussive right hand, coupled with his cheerful shout, brought him considerable success over three decades.
Perryman was born on a farm near Hampton, Georgia, where his parents Ada and Henry Perryman sharecropped. He was part of a large family, though sources differ on exactly how many brothers and sisters he had. Perryman was an albino African American, as was his older brother Rufus, who also had a blues piano career as "Speckled Red".
[Verse 1:]
Pop your corks if you're a champaign socialist
Open up a sweat shop, let's make the most of this
Ridiculous, conspicuous society we got
Where tax never touches those living at the top
Where a track like this - won't ever get a shot at the pop charts
I wanna punch on with rockstars
Fuck a film clip with big tits and hot cars
My gimmick is my lyrics are likely to stop hearts
It's not hard, to show some humanity
Or get a rocket launcher and aim the thing at Channel V
Ha! I'm flipping my lid!
Can't believe Pegz ain't platinum - and Pete Murray is
Feel it in your guts like a hit to the ribs
As you listen to that television fib to your kids
When the fuel runs out - the fools rush in
The end of the beginning, the beginning of the end!
[Chorus:]
I'm a one shot kill like heroin, experiments
Are bound to blow up - if you add the right element
And real skills is the medicine
When MCs do anything to get played then don't say anything
A one shot kill like heroin, experiments
Are bound to blow up - if you add the right element
And my message is the medicine
When MCs do anything to get played then don't say anything
[Verse 2:]
I was born in '84
And us kids this world was made for
Have done nothing but get high and piss on the decor
We got a core that's as hard as an acorn
We need support so many new laws to take on
Cause everyday we're told to "get our invade on"
Afghanistan, Iraq, so many people to hate on
I reckon that don't make sense for five seconds
Can you hate a poor family if you never even met em'?
Can't we ask for peace before armaggedon?
Arn't we forgetting the first commandment?
Arn't we setting fire to the very thing we need most?
With no love there's no hope that's no joke
I got the jump on this game real quick so I could get up on your radio and
Say real shit
It ain't all my pain but it's what I see
And what I feel
So I guess now that's who I be...
(I got something to show you but you may not want to see it
I got something to tell you but, you may not believe it
Even though you might feel wide awake - to me it looks like you're dreaming
I can't get to sleep from the screams outside - how can everybody be dreaming?)
[Verse 3:]
I maintain the right to bust
We all gotta say our piece before we bite the dust
So many wrongs in a system that ain't right for us
We gotta fight for them but they won't fight for us
Na, that makes no sense, so I make no apologies
About declaring war on war-like ideologies
Except my invasion will go better than theirs did
A new world mind-state embedded in their kids
In all fairness justice is the rarest commodity we got left - I'm spreading
Awareness
They walk free despite how much evidence there is
You don't care but that doesn't mean you should be careless
We made the mess party people - we should clean it up
2000 and 7 year bender - we should be easing up
Tomorrow morning it's a brand new day
Take a second look and see it in a brand new way
[Chorus:]
I'm a one shot kill like heroin, experiments
Are bound to blow up - if you add the right element
And real skills is the medicine
When MCs do anything to get played then don't say anything
A a one shot kill like heroin, experiments
Are bound to blow up - if you add the right element
And my message is the medicine
When MCs do anything to get played then don't say anything
(I got something to show you but you may not want to see it
I got something to tell you but, you may not believe it
Even though you might feel wide awake - to me it looks like you're dreaming
