"The Glamorous Life" is a song written by Prince and recorded by singer/percussionist Sheila E. The song has lyrics which reflect a cynicism for the decadence and materialism of the song's protagonist, referred to in the third person, who "wants to lead a glamorous life", although she is aware that "without love, it ain't much".
"The Glamorous Life" is the title track and closing song on Sheila E.'s debut solo album, and reached number 7 on the U.S. pop charts, as well as number 1 on the U.S. dance charts, and earned two Grammy Award nominations and three MTV Award nominations.
Sheila E.'s live performances of the song became memorable events, most notably for her percussion solo towards the end of the song. Depending on the occasion, she would either spin around several times while drumming without missing a beat during the rigorous solo, place one highly elevated foot on a snare while standing on the other leg mid-solo, or perform with glow-in-the-dark drumsticks. While the solo featured in the song helped to bolster Sheila E.'s fame, all subsequent versions of this song have no drum solo. She performed this song as part of Ringo Starr & His All-Starr Band during their 2001, 2003 and 2006 tours.

Susan sells off her share in the strip club, and encourages Robin, a stripper with an Education degree, to quit and find another job. She tries to get her a job at the school, but a father recognizes her from the club and informs Principal Hobson, who fires her. Susan then convinces Mike to let Robin stay with them for a while.
Bree is alarmed to find the men of the neighborhood going through Orson's personal belongings, as he has told them they can have whatever they want. Orson informs Bree that he has decided to end his own life. Bree tries to stop Orson, by placing him on suicide watch, but he tells her that sooner or later he will find a way. Orson says he has no reason to live. He asks Bree if she loves him, but she cannot answer. He says that if she loved him again, he'd have a reason to live. Bree then tells Orson that she wants to love him again, but that's only possible if he is around.

Porto Alegre R&B;
I was searching through this super sketchy website when I found this gem. It was pretty magical, to say the least, considering I simply cannot find this anywhere else. This demo is from 1983 and features Prince's vocals only. While he does make it onto the final track, he only performs back-up vocals. As you can tell, the demo is pretty rough sounding as I can only imagine how the original uploader obtained it. Nonetheless though, it sounds amazing. You'll notice a few lyrical and sound changes as well. After the first chorus, you'll notice the next verse starts to say "she wears a long fur coat.." but then finishes the line off with "section marked". I'm unsure why this was done but my best guess is that it's an error. You'll also hear Prince echoing certain lines, such as "if you hav...

Hey girl, is he everything you wanted in a man
You know I gave you the world
You had me in the palm of your hand
So why your love went away
I just can't seem to understand
Thought it was me and you babe
Me and you until the end
But I guess I was wrong
Don't want to think about her
Don't want to talk about her
I'm just so sick about her
Can't believe it's ending this way
Just so confused about her
Feeling the blues about her
I just can't do without ya
Tell me is this fair?
Is this the way it's really going down?
Is this how we say goodbye?
Should've known better when you came around
That you were gonna make me cry
It's breaking my heart to watch you run around
'Cause I know that you're living a lie
That's okay baby 'cause in time you will find...
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
Now girl, I remember everything that you claimed
You said that you were moving on now
And maybe I should do the same
Funny thing about that is
I was ready to give you my name
Thought it was me and you, babe
And now, it's all just a shame
And I guess I was wrong
Don't want to think about her
Don't want to talk about her
I'm just so sick about her
Can't believe it's ending this way
Just so confused about her
Feeling the blues about her
I just can't do without ya
Can you tell me is this fair?
Is this the way its really going down?
Is this how we say goodbye?

Comes all the way back around
What goes around, goes around, goes around
Comes all the way back around
What goes around comes around
Yeah
What goes around comes around
You should know that
What goes around comes around
Yeah
What goes around comes around
You should know that
Don't want to think about it (no)
Don't want to talk about it
I'm just so sick about it
Can't believe it's ending this way
Just so confused about it
Feeling the blues about it (yeah)
I just can't do without ya
Tell me is this fair?
Is this the way things are going down?
Is this how we say goodbye?

[Comes Around interlude:]
Let me paint this picture for you, baby
You spend your nights alone
And he never comes home
And every time you call him
All you get's a busy tone
I heard you found out
That he's doing to you
What you did to me
Ain't that the way it goes
When You cheated girl
My heart bleeded girl
So it goes without saying that you left me feeling hurt
Just a classic case
A scenario
Tale as old as time
Girl you got what you deserved
And now you want somebody
To cure the lonely nights
You wish you had somebody
That could come and make it right
But girl I ain't somebody with a lot of sympathy
You'll see
(What goes around comes back around)
I thought I told ya, hey
(What goes around comes back around)
I thought I told ya, hey
(What goes around comes back around)
I thought I told ya, hey
(What goes around comes back around)
I thought I told ya, hey
See?
You should've listened to me, baby
Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah
Because
(What goes around comes back around)
