WOODLAND, Wash. (AP) — Authorities have released the names of the pilot and passenger injured in a small plane crash that killed another passenger on Thursday in Woodland.

Woodland police say 52-year-old Angus Walker of Woodinville piloted the single-engine plane that went off the end of the runway and crashed through a fence.

The Columbian reports (http://goo.gl/PA9qSf ) 36-year-old Jacob Kuper of Enumclaw and 56-year-old Marc Messina of Renton were passengers in the plane. Messina was pronounced dead at the scene.

Walker and Kuper were taken to a local hospital, treated and released.

The plane is registered to a Woodinville corporation and was bound for Renton.

The FAA and the National Transportation Safety Board are investigating.

Woodland is about 30 miles north of Portland, Oregon.
