A TRIP ON THE EXOTIC OF BERGEN (NORWAY) - 18/04/10
Bergen può essere così piccola e così tanto grande.
Sia nella natura di sentieri forestali esotici, che in
montagna tra sentieri rocciosi facili o difficili,
anche se a distanza di anni può sembrare che si è visto
ed esplorato tutto, si trovano sempre nuovi posti,
sentieri o scorciatoie non esplorate precedentemente.
Non è tanto facile avventurarsi da soli in posti non conosciuti
dove forse non c'è neanche linea telefonica, rischiando
quindi, restare l'ì fin quando il fisico ce la fà,
a sperare semai che compaia un'"anima viva"
per chiedere informazioni sulla via del ritorno.
Tante volte si è letto sul giornale di Bergen
che alcune persone non sono mai più tornate indietro,
e neanche sono mai state ritrovate dalle "teams" di salvataggio.
Questa Domenica, abbiamo finalmente deciso
visitare alcuni posti bellissimi da noi non prima esplorati,
anche se il tempo non è stato tanto brillante e favorevole.
È stata una gita veramente incantevole
ed indimenticabile per le vedute panoramiche
dei monti e dai monti, e per i lunghi sentieri forestali così tanto esotici.

Oslo (English pronunciation: /ˈɒzloʊ/, OZ-loh,Norwegian pronunciation: [ˈuʂˈlu] (
listen) or, rarer [ˈusˈlu] or [ˈuʂlu]) is the capital and the most populous city in Norway.
Oslo constitutes both a county and a municipality. Founded in the year 1040, and established as a "kaupstad" or trading place in 1048 by King Harald III, the city was elevated to a bishopric in 1070 and a capital under Haakon V around 1300. Personal unions with Denmark from 1397 to 1523 and again from 1536 to 1814 and with Sweden from 1814 to 1905 reduced its influence. After being destroyed by a fire in 1624, the city was moved closer to Akershus Fortress during the reign of King Christian IV and renamed Christiania in his honour. It was established as a municipality (formannskapsdistrikt) on 1 January 1838. Following a spelling reform, it was known as Kristiania from 1877 to 1925, at which time its original Norwegian name was restored.
Oslo is the economic and governmental centre of Norway. The city is also a hub of Norwegian trade, banking, industry and shipping. It is an important centre for maritime industries and maritime trade in Europe. The city is home to many companies within the maritime sector, some of which are among the world's largest shipping companies, shipbrokers and maritime insurance brokers. Oslo is a pilot city of the Council of Europe and the European Commission intercultural cities programme.

Bob Dylan
Bob Dylan (/ˈdɪlən/; born Robert Allen Zimmerman, May 24, 1941) is an American singer-songwriter, artist and writer. He has been influential in popular music and culture for more than five decades. Much of his most celebrated work dates from the 1960s when his songs chronicled social unrest, although Dylan repudiated suggestions from journalists that he was a spokesman for his generation. Nevertheless, early songs such as "Blowin' in the Wind" and "The Times They Are a-Changin'" became anthems for the American civil rights and anti-war movements. After he left his initial base in the American folk music revival, his six-minute single "Like a Rolling Stone" altered the range of popular music in 1965. His mid-1960s recordings, backed by rock musicians, reached the top end of the United States music charts while also attracting denunciation and criticism from others in the folk movement.
Dylan's lyrics have incorporated various political, social, philosophical, and literary influences. They defied existing pop music conventions and appealed to the burgeoning counterculture. Initially inspired by the performances of Little Richard, and the songwriting of Woody Guthrie, Robert Johnson, and Hank Williams, Dylan has amplified and personalized musical genres. His recording career, spanning 50 years, has explored the traditions in American song—from folk, blues, and country to gospel, rock and roll, and rockabilly to English, Scottish, and Irish folk music, embracing even jazz and the Great American Songbook. Dylan performs with guitar, keyboards, and harmonica. Backed by a changing line-up of musicians, he has toured steadily since the late 1980s on what has been dubbed the Never Ending Tour. His accomplishments as a recording artist and performer have been central to his career, but songwriting is considered his greatest contribution.

Patricia Lee "Patti" Smith (born December 30, 1946) is an American singer-songwriter, poet and visual artist who became a highly influential component of the New York City punk rock movement with her 1975 debut album Horses.
Called the "punk poet laureate", Smith fused rock and poetry in her work. Smith's most widely known song is "Because the Night", which was co-written with Bruce Springsteen. The song reached number 13 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in 1978. In 2005, Patti Smith was named a Commander of the Ordre des Arts et des Lettres by the French Ministry of Culture, and in 2007, she was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. On November 17, 2010, she won the National Book Award for her memoir Just Kids. The book fulfilled a promise she had made to her former long-time roommate and partner, Robert Mapplethorpe. Michael Fassbender
Michael Fassbender (born 2 April 1977) is a German–Irish actor of stage and screen whose career includes roles in both independent and blockbuster films.
His feature film debut was in the fantasy war epic 300 (2006) as a Spartan warrior; his earlier roles included various stage productions, as well as starring roles on television such as in the HBO miniseries Band of Brothers (2001) and the Sky One fantasy drama Hex (2004–05). Il premio fu istituito in seguito alle ultime volontà di Alfred Bernhard Nobel (1833-1896), chimico e industriale svedese e inventore della dinamite e della balistite. La prima assegnazione dei premi risale al 1901, quando furono consegnati il premio per la pace, per la letteratura, per la chimica, per la medicina e per la fisica. Non esiste invece il premio per la matematica. Solo dal 1969 la Banca di Svezia assegna il premio per l'economia in memoria di Alfred Nobel, creando ancora numerosi fraintendimenti. A TRIP ON THE EXOTIC OF BERGEN (NORWAY) - 18/04/10
Bergen può essere così piccola e così tanto grande.
Sia nella natura di sentieri forestali esotici, che in
montagna tra sentieri rocciosi facili o difficili,
anche se a distanza di anni può sembrare che si è visto
ed esplorato tutto, si trovano sempre nuovi posti,
sentieri o scorciatoie non esplorate precedentemente.
Non è tanto facile avventurarsi da soli in posti non conosciuti
dove forse non c'è neanche linea telefonica, rischiando
quindi, restare l'ì fin quando il fisico ce la fà,
a sperare semai che compaia un'"anima viva"
per chiedere informazioni sulla via del ritorno.
Tante volte si è letto sul giornale di Bergen
che alcune persone non sono mai più tornate indietro,
e neanche sono mai state ritrovate dalle "teams" di salvataggio.
Questa Domenica, abbiamo finalmente deciso
visitare alcuni posti bellissimi da noi non prima esplorati,
anche se il tempo non è stato tanto brillante e favorevole.
È stata una gita veramente incantevole
ed indimenticabile per le vedute panoramiche
dei monti e dai monti, e per i lunghi sentieri forestali così tanto esotici.

Bergen può essere così piccola e così tanto grande.

La cantante, a Stoccolma per ritirare il premio Nobel per la Letteratura al posto di Bob Dylan, si è interrotta durante l'esibizione di "A hard rain's a-gonna fall". Ha poi provato a riprendere la strofa della canzone ma senza ricordare subito le parole. Si è così rivolta all'orchestra che l'accompagnava dal vivo: "Scusate, sono nervosa. Posso ricominciare?". La cantante ha poi continuato emozionando l'intera platea che le ha tributato un lungo applauso. Nonostante l'assenza di Dylan sono stati numerosi gli elogi ricevuti nella citazione per il premio per la Letteratura attribuito per la sua poesia in musica. "Bob Dylan è stato uno shock. Top Sightseeing locations to visit in Oslo, Norway. Including Downtown Oslo, The Royal Castle, museums, Vigelandsparken, Holmenkollen, and more.

The Oslo Opera:
Do this one! The opera building is adjacent to the central station, and it's awesome. It's architecture is like walking on an iceberg, and it overlooks the Oslo fjord and Akershus Castle. Doesn't take much time.
Karl Johans gate:
The main walking street that connects Central Station (Oslo S) with the Royal Castle. I guess it's a must when you come to Oslo. You can't avoid it, and you shouldn't! Because it's the main street of Oslo. But Karl Johan is mostly for the tourists, beggars, scammers. People that live in Oslo, like me, hardly ever go there.
Royal Castle:
It's quite small compared to other royal castles because Norway was a poor country when it was built. But it's still a nice place to walk through on your way to Bogstadveien or to spend half an hour.
Akershus Castle:
This is a nice medieval castle at the center of Oslo, overlooking the Oslo fjord, and Aker brygge. Very nice for sunsets, and after a day in Oslo sentrum or Aker Brygge. There is also a free military museum and a cheap WWII resistance museum here.
Aker Brygge:
These are the Oslo docks which have been redeveloped into a posh private restaurant/bar/shopping area. Nice for a walk, and plenty of places to sit down and watch people or the magnificent view of Akershus Castle. There's also a modern art museum here if that's your thing. If you do go to the modern art museum, be sure go all the way to the top terrace, where you find an even better view of Aker Brygge, the fjord and Akershus Castle.
Museum Island/Peninsula (Bygdøy):
This is where most of the museums are, including the Viking Ship Museum, Kon Tiki, Maritime Museum, Folk Museum. But be aware that it takes a day, and it's quite a detour, there's not much else to do there. If I had to pick one, I would do the Viking Ship museum and maybe the adjacent Folk Museum.
Vigelandsparken/Frognerparken:
This sculpture park is very good, and very large. During summer this is a continuous party/BBQ, but in wintertime you will find mostly joggers and dog walkers. Do this park if naked stone people are your thing. Pro tip: The Oslo City museum is in the park, and its FREE!
Holmenkollen/Frognerseteren:
Holmenkollen is a giant ski-jump on a mountain overlooking Oslo. There is also the ski-museum and ski-stuff around here. Metro line 1 runs all the way to Frognerseteren and there is a cafe/restaurant close to the wilderness where you can overlook Oslo.
Ekebergåsen:
This is a lookout point close to Oslo, overlooking the city. If you are thinking of going to Frognerseteren for the view only, you should go here instead. Much closer to the city, so you get a better view and travel time is less, this is a nice spot to watch the sunset.
Some Pro Tips:
If you want to see "the fjord" for cheap, go to the beginning of Aker Brygge, and take the ferry (B10) to Nesodden and back again (don't get of). You will have a great view of Akershus Castle, Aker Brygge, numerous islands and the fjord.
The "RuterReise" app for live public transportation time tables or planning, or just use Google maps, there's another "RuterBillett" app for purchasing tickets with a credit card on your phone, but I think it's only in Norwegian. Then there is the https://ruter.no/en/ website for trip planning.
Uber app, works quite well, and is half price of normal taxi

Top Sightseeing locations to visit in Oslo, Norway. Including Downtown Oslo, The Royal Castle, museums, Vigelandsparken, Holmenkollen, and more.
The exact locations are listed at the end of the description.
The Oslo Opera:
Do this one! The opera building is adjacent to the central station, and it's awesome. It's architecture is like walking on an iceberg, and it overlooks the Oslo fjord and Akershus Castle. Doesn't take much time.
Karl Johans gate:
The main walking street that connects Central Station (Oslo S) with the Royal Castle. I guess it's a must when you come to Oslo. You can't avoid it, and you shouldn't! Because it's the main street of Oslo. But Karl Johan is mostly for the tourists, beggars, scammers. People that live in Oslo, like me, hardly ever go there.
Royal Castle:
It's quite small compared to other royal castles because Norway was a poor country when it was built. But it's still a nice place to walk through on your way to Bogstadveien or to spend half an hour.
Akershus Castle:
This is a nice medieval castle at the center of Oslo, overlooking the Oslo fjord, and Aker brygge. Very nice for sunsets, and after a day in Oslo sentrum or Aker Brygge. There is also a free military museum and a cheap WWII resistance museum here.
Aker Brygge:
These are the Oslo docks which have been redeveloped into a posh private restaurant/bar/shopping area. Nice for a walk, and plenty of places to sit down and watch people or the magnificent view of Akershus Castle. There's also a modern art museum here if that's your thing. If you do go to the modern art museum, be sure go all the way to the top terrace, where you find an even better view of Aker Brygge, the fjord and Akershus Castle.
Museum Island/Peninsula (Bygdøy):
This is where most of the museums are, including the Viking Ship Museum, Kon Tiki, Maritime Museum, Folk Museum. But be aware that it takes a day, and it's quite a detour, there's not much else to do there. If I had to pick one, I would do the Viking Ship museum and maybe the adjacent Folk Museum.
Vigelandsparken/Frognerparken:
This sculpture park is very good, and very large. During summer this is a continuous party/BBQ, but in wintertime you will find mostly joggers and dog walkers. Do this park if naked stone people are your thing. Pro tip: The Oslo City museum is in the park, and its FREE!
Holmenkollen/Frognerseteren:
Holmenkollen is a giant ski-jump on a mountain overlooking Oslo. There is also the ski-museum and ski-stuff around here. Metro line 1 runs all the way to Frognerseteren and there is a cafe/restaurant close to the wilderness where you can overlook Oslo.
Ekebergåsen:
This is a lookout point close to Oslo, overlooking the city. If you are thinking of going to Frognerseteren for the view only, you should go here instead. Much closer to the city, so you get a better view and travel time is less, this is a nice spot to watch the sunset.
Some Pro Tips:
If you want to see "the fjord" for cheap, go to the beginning of Aker Brygge, and take the ferry (B10) to Nesodden and back again (don't get of). You will have a great view of Akershus Castle, Aker Brygge, numerous islands and the fjord.
The "RuterReise" app for live public transportation time tables or planning, or just use Google maps, there's another "RuterBillett" app for purchasing tickets with a credit card on your phone, but I think it's only in Norwegian. Then there is the https://ruter.no/en/ website for trip planning.
Uber app, works quite well, and is half price of normal taxi

Although the Norwegian metropolis of Oslo is a modern city, it continues to be inspired by the lively spirit of its past traders, fighting men and seafarers. The unique capital city of the Vikings is full of both culture and sport, including a royal castle, various museums, ancient churches and world famous sporting events. It has 900 years of history.
The conference rooms of the city's government are decorated with frescos and paintings by Munch, Krogh, Revold and Rolfsen and each year on the 10th of December, the anniversary of Alfred Nobel's death, the Nobel Peace Prize Ceremony takes place.
West of the harbor basin is Aker Brygge, a city quarter that was created on the site of a former shipyard and which features some unusual architecture where glass, metal and red brick dominates as in the style of London's Docklands.
The Norsk Sjøfartsmuseum features the long history of Norwegian navigation. Various figureheads are exhibited and it is no surprise that most of them are female, as seafarers have always chosen to be protected by goddesses! In the Kon-Tiki Museum, the filigree balsa river boat is on display. Thor Heyerdahl sailed across the Pacific for 101 days in the Kon-Tiki, from Peru to Polynesia.
This city is a royal residence and a cultural capital of Europe. It is the oldest of Scandinavia's capital cities and the greenest metropolis on the European continent. A place of joie de vivre, independence and a colorful past!

In my travel channel, I share my own trip videos from my journeys. Until now, I traveled around 40 countries and I produced 10.000 stock footage. I am professional traveler and videographer, working many microstock footage companies. In my youtube videos, I try to combine my stock footages by locations, cities and/or countries and try to show people what did I see and I experienced.
