Infant

An infant (from the Latin word infans, meaning "unable to speak" or "speechless") is the very young offspring of a human or animal. When applied to humans, the term is usually considered synonymous with baby or bairn (in Scottish English), but the latter is commonly applied to the young of any animal. When a human child learns to walk, the term toddler may be used instead.

The term infant is typically applied to young children between the ages of 1 month and 12 months; however, definitions may vary between birth and 1 year of age, or even between birth and 2 years of age. A newborn is an infant who is only hours, days, or up to a few weeks old. In medical contexts, newborn or neonate (from Latin, neonatus, newborn) refers to an infant in the first 28 days after birth; the term applies to premature infants, postmature infants, and full term infants. Before birth, the term fetus is used. In the UK, infant is a term that can be applied to school children aged between four and seven. As a legal terminology, "infancy" continues from birth until age 18.

Oil

An oil is any neutral, nonpolar chemical substance that is a viscous liquid at ambient temperatures and is both hydrophobic (immiscible with water, literally "water fearing") and lipophilic (miscible with other oils, literally "fat loving"). Oils have a high carbon and hydrogen content and are usually flammable and slippery.

The general definition of oil includes classes of chemical compounds that may be otherwise unrelated in structure, properties, and uses. Oils may be animal, vegetable, or petrochemical in origin, and may be volatile or non-volatile. They are used for food, fuel, lubrication, and the manufacture of paints, plastics, and other materials. Specially prepared oils are used in some religious ceremonies as purifying agents.

Etymology

First attested in English 1176, the word oil comes from Old French oile, from Latin oleum, which in turn comes from the Greek ἔλαιον (elaion), "olive oil, oil" and that from ἐλαία (elaia), "olive tree", "olive fruit". The earliest attested forms of the word are the Mycenaean Greek 𐀁𐀨𐀺, e-ra-wo and 𐀁𐁉𐀺, e-rai-wo, written in the Linear B syllabic script.

Hair

Hair is a protein filament that grows from follicles found in the dermis, or skin. Hair is one of the defining characteristics of mammals. The human body, apart from areas of glabrous skin, is covered in follicles which produce thick terminal and fine vellus hair. Most common interest in hair is focused on hair growth, hair types and hair care, but hair is also an important biomaterial primarily composed of protein, notably keratin. Attitudes towards hair, such as hairstyles and hair removal, vary widely across different cultures and historical periods, but it is often used to indicate a person's personal beliefs or social position, such as their age, gender, or religion.

Overview

The word "hair" usually refers to two distinct structures:

the part beneath the skin, called the hair follicle, or, when pulled from the skin, the bulb. This organ is located in the dermis and maintains stem cells, which not only re-grow the hair after it falls out, but also are recruited to regrow skin after a wound.

Curry tree

The curry tree (Scientific - Murraya koenigii or Bergera koenigii | Hindi - करी पेड़ (pronounced as karee pade), मीठी नीम (sweet neem)| Sinhala - කරපිංචා (spelled as karapincha) is a tropical to sub-tropical tree in the family Rutaceae (the rue family, which includes rue, citrus, and satinwood), which is native to India and Sri Lanka.

Its leaves are used in many dishes in India and neighbouring countries. Often used in curries, the leaves are generally called by the name 'curry leaves,' although they are also literally 'sweet neem leaves' in most Indian languages (as opposed to ordinary neem leaves which are very bitter and in the family Meliaceae, not Rutaceae).

Description

It is a small tree, growing 4–6 m (13–20 feet) tall, with a trunk up to 40 cm (16 in) diameter. The aromatic leaves are pinnate, with 11-21 leaflets, each leaflet 2–4 cm (0.79–1.57 in) long and 1–2 cm (0.39–0.79 in) broad. The plant produces small white flowers which can self-pollinate to produce small shiny-black berries containing a single, large viable seed. Though the berry pulp is edible—with a sweet but medicinal flavor—in general, neither the pulp nor seed are used for culinary purposes.

What’s more, giving your baby a massage can help you find your own inner Zen, too (and who can argue with that?). You can start these gentle massages the day you bring your baby home. Or you can encourage your partner to try his hand at infant massage — a good opportunity for dad-and-baby bonding. Here’s what to keep in mind before you (or your partner) lay your hands on your newborn: Make infant massage part of your daily routine. Consider massaging your baby around the same time every day so that he comes to expect and enjoy it. What time’s best? There’s no “best” time, really. In general, you want to choose a time when you’re not feeling rushed (so don’t try to squeeze in a squeeze session while dinner’s cooking or you’ve got the washer and dryer going) or when your baby isn’t hungry (since he won’t enjoy the belly rubs if his belly’s empty) or too full (he’ll likely spit up his supper — you won’t make that mistake twice!). If you’re using massage oil, choose one that’s edible, unscented, and either a cold-pressed fruit or vegetable oil. Sure, you don’t need oil to rub your little one the right way, but it’ll be more pleasant for both of you if your hands glide more easily over your baby’s body. Good options include coconut, canola, corn, olive, grape seed, apricot, avocado, or safflower oils. These oils are easily absorbed into a baby’s skin — and easily digested when your little one sucks on his hands or fingers. Only use a dab and stay away from baby oil or mineral oil — they clog the pores. And nix nut oils too because of the potential for allergies. Pick an area that’s comfortable for both of you, and warm — at least 75° F — so your nearly naked newborn doesn’t catch a chill while he’s chilling from your massage. You can massage your little one on the changing table, your bed (put a towel underneath to avoid oil stains on your comforter), even on the rug (use a towel there too). Add some soothing background music or simply use the time to talk and sing to your baby. Follow your baby’s cues. No one likes to be massaged when they’re not in the mood, and that’s true for your baby as well. If he turns away or frowns or cries when you lay your hands on, save the session for later. And remember, you don’t have to give a full-body massage every time. If your baby decides he’s had enough after you’ve rubbed his legs and feet, that’s okay too. Be gentle — and don’t apply too much pressure or it will be overpowering. Another smart tip from the infant massage playbook: Stroking away from the heart (from shoulder to wrist, for example) is relaxing, and therefore better suited for pre-nap or pre-bedtime massages. Stroking toward the heart (from wrist to shoulder) is more stimulating and better suited for when your baby will be awake and active. You can also do a combo. Here are some infant massage moves to get you started: Legs and feet. Hold your baby’s heel in one hand; with your other hand, start at the top of the thigh and slowly stroke all the way down to the ankle, gently squeezing the leg as you go, as if you were milking a cow. Reverse the motion and go from ankle to thigh. Then rub the feet with your thumbs, gently uncurling and stroking the toes. Switch legs. You can do these same strokes on the arms and hands. Head. Start with your hands on both sides of your baby’s head, then run your hands down both sides of his body, from his head to his toes. Next, draw tiny circles on your baby’s head with your fingertips. Face. Fold your hands (as if you were praying) on your baby’s forehead, then gently push outward from the center. Next, use your thumb to draw a smile on your baby’s face by stroking from one cheek, across the upper lip to the other cheek. Repeat on the lower lip. Chest. Fold your hands on your baby’s chest, then push out to the sides, as if you were smoothing the pages of an open book. Tummy. With your fingertips, draw an oval below your baby’s belly button. (Move clockwise, to follow the natural path of digestion.) Next, “walk” your fingertips from one side of your baby’s belly to the other, on the diagonal, as if you were making an “X.” Back. I know it's a hard choice for vegans and vegetarians, and I don't advocate an easy answer- we all make the best choices we can with what we have to work with. Found a "wonderful" dermatologist who poked, popped, and cut open every cystic acne I had. The scars on the side of my nose and chin will tell you all about it. After he's done with the grossness, or was too lazy to spend extra time popping my volcanoes, he would inject me with Cortisone (steroids). Sometimes he over injected and not only did the acne deflated..my skin kept sinking in. The pockets of scars will tell you the other story. To reverse the effect, I started to get Restylane injections in my face and insurance back then did not believe restylane shots for acne scars was necessary for my "illness". It simply got too expensive to continue.Two years with that guy, and I switched to a second. Hated him just the same, and switched to a lady dermatologist who also suffered from acne. Now, let me tell you how that made a huge difference on my life. She was compassionate, she was caring, and she monitored my skin. After 3 mos with her, she told me I needed the top gun of all acne meds. BAM! Here comes ACCUTANE. Now ACCUTANE is a highly dangerous drug. When you are on it, you have to get monthly blood and pregnancy tests done. I was on it for 6 mos and it was not fun to have to go to the doctor at 16 with your dad to get an exam for birth control ( you must be on it to be on ACCUTANE). I was 17 when my face finally stopped growing giant cysts. I felt good, I felt like I could go to college and be someone new. Freshman year of college was wonderful and I knew life was going to be very positive for me. It wasn't until sophomore year when the effects (depression) of ACCUTANE kicked in. I started to get really depress and my life....started to mean nothing. I was not inspired, or optimistic about life and frankly I did not want to look at my face even if it was clear. I started to hate my face, hate myself, and doubted my self worth. By the end of Sophomore year my face basically went to war. I looked like I was sweating all the time when really, I was just greasy and inflamed. The depression got worse and I got desperate. I found the nearest dermatologist (the lady one was in my old home town). I went in, and I told him "give me ACCUTANE". I knew the risk, I didn't care. I went on it for 3 months this time because my body was familiar to it. After that, my depression got worse. I went to therapy for my issues, and about a year later I started this YouTube channel. Then I started to date my husband, then I started to focus more on the fashion industry instead of Biology and look at all the great things that has happened to me. Well, I also changed my diet. I either eat too much or too little but I don't eat a lot of fast foods or packaged foods. My veggie and fruit intake is fairly high. I learned to run every day because running made me happy. On days when I do get depressed, I result to my Sun lamp ( a little light that mimics day light) to make me feel chipper. I think it took about 3-4 years for me to feel secure about myself. Anyways, there are days when I wish I can trade skin with someone else but then I'm just being selfish. I'm finally at a point in my life where these zits aren't really that important. My family, you guys, and my job is what is important to me. If my skin is clear tomorrow, wonderful. If it doesn't...hey it's something I can joke about. If you'd like to grow your hair longer, thicker and healthier (faster!), scalp oiling is one of the best natural remedies! In this video I'll show you how I use burdock and castor oils to apply them directly onto my scalp and what results I achieved after 18 months of such a treatment. I was really patient (you won't see any results overnight, not even in a week time lol) and finally I noticed a significant improvement in my hair thickness (you can see than my ends are very thin, while the base of my braid is getting thicker and thicker), while many other girls often experienced faster hair regrowth!! Scalp oiling didn't accelerate my regrowth, but perhaps they will do it for you? ;) Both Burdock root and Castor oils have similar benefits for your hair. Providing nutritional support to hair follicles, they are used to - combat and prevent hair loss, - reduce and reverse hair thinning, - promote thicker hair, - improve hair strength, shine and body, - condition your scalp. so I mix them half and half. My favorite burdock oil is Evalar (репейное масло Эвалар).
